Extremely disappointed with Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster urgent care. I was in immense pain…read moreafter hours and attempted to use their orthopedic urgent care because my regular orthopedic provider does not offer walk-ins. I was denied service because I was already under the care of my own orthopedic provider(who again, does not have a walk in urgent care). If this is their policy, it should be clearly stated on the urgent care website. Patients should know beforehand that they will not be seen if they are already established with an orthopedic provider at another practice. I was trying to avoid an unnecessary ER visit because I genuinely did not feel my situation warranted one, but I was left with no other option. Very frustrating and disappointing, especially when I was actively seeking appropriate care.

I simply told her I did not know if they took my insurance and I was going to ask her to see if they did before she rudely interrupted me and told me they are going to take me off the list. I told her before she hung up that I was not done talking and she asked me to repeat myself in which I told her that I will not repeat myself and I will be going elsewhere. It's really unfortunate that I won't be getting the care for my knee that I need. I really hope the staff takes more care into the people they are helping because this is unfortunate.
