Gave an excellent show for about an hour and a half. Nice large park not a bad seat anywhere. Very family friendly. A lot of families with from babies on up to preteens. Couple of the dads were playing catch with their toddlers off to the side. Great place to have the kids and get up and run around. They're not bothering anybody. You can bring in your own snacks and nonalcoholic beverages. It's all free. Bathrooms are easily accessible. They had two extra porta-johns as well as the already established restroom building, which was very clean by the way. Lots of parking, handicap accessible. They had closer parking for those that needed it. It's relatively easy to get in and out of the park there is a traffic light. Traffic does back up a bit but it's not too bad. We had a great time just sitting and listening to music and enjoying the weather. If you have a chance, check out Longs Park for their free summer concert series.

This is an 80 acre park located in Lancaster featuring an amphitheater that has been playing music…read morefor 60 years. Park also features a playground, tennis court, water and more. It's a great place to linger on a nice day. We got to enjoy their summer concert series on a Sunday. This is a very busy park so come early to grab a parking spot. During concerts you can grab food from mobile venues to enjoy throughout the concert. So bring a chair or blanket and enjoy a relaxing night of music. Worth a visit!

Amos Herr Park is a 56-acre paradise thanks to a brand new children's play area called the "dream…read morepark." I came upon it today while having a meeting in Landisville and was so impressed that I had to bring my boys after school. The itself park was donated to the Township by the late Amos Herr who was a former high school teacher and coach. His ancestors were among the earliest settlers of Landisville. The new "dream park" was almost completely financed and built by the residents of East Hempfield Township. It took them 11-days to construct the playground and it opened last year. This adorable play area includes a zip line! Here are some of the other amenities: * Soccer and baseball fields * Tennis courts * Bocci court * Basketball * Volleyball courts * Restrooms * Rental Pavilion * Large, grassy fields * Benches * Water Fountain (play area) * Dog Waste Station * There are plans to build a trail.

Manheim Township Parks and Recreation department is housed in the beautiful old Stauffer Mansion. You can sign up for the various activities that the township offers inside. The Carriage House is next to the Mansion and the home of yoga classes, dance classes, and other activities offered by the township. There is a large lawn area under the shade of large mature trees and picnic tables for gatherings. Since a lot of it is rather open, I prefer not to go midday when the sun is beating down. Note that there are a LOT of steep hills, in case that's a problem for anyone in your party. There is also a nice playground, pavilions to rent, some of which are very nice, and tennis courts. The public bathroom is small and not amazing, but it's always been open when the park is open, and has the necessities.

We started out hanging on the wall the first night. We were really happy when we made 1 full lap on the rink. Then managed to stay out for one full song. Now, we go Friday, Saturday and Sunday. When my body is feeling well, I don't want to get off the rink. It's our happy place together. We've had our kids and grandkids come out, friends that come out, because I don't think any of them thought we would want to keep going. Now we can't wait for Friday to get here so we can start our weekend at Overlook. The wood floors are great and the rink is large. What we love the most is the people that work there and the people that come in to skate. It feels like family. The smiles, the waves and how are you? We are always amazed at the kids that make sure to say hi every time they see us. Th DJ's are great, will play a nice mix of music, of course us older girls love rock and roll. Live organ music is our favorite, it's just wonderful. We just wanted to get back into skating and now we've added a family.

There was a park for bigger dogs and one for small dogs.My babies came home and slept though the night. The other dogs were well behaved. I will take my babies there again when I am in the Lancaster area.

It sits in what feels like the middle of town, right next to a museum. The park comes complete with a playground and somewhat of a circular path if you want to get some laps in. For the most part it is fenced. I came here to do some laps since what I had wanted to do was not available at that time. It was a nice distraction and gave me something to do until I figured out where I was going after that.

The facility is divided into big dog and small dog sections, and each section is astroturfed, has doggie play elements and water fountains, and has a deck with Adirondack chairs with shade canopies...relaxing for owners as well! Also, a double-gate entry portal insures no canine escapees wander off. Owners are conscientious, cleaning up after their dogs and correcting poor doggie behavior. Plus, it is just fun to watch doggies socialize and run free. Paired with a stop at Beiler's donuts beforehand, it makes for a relaxing morning at the park!

At one time this park was very nice and well kept. That is not the case anymore. There was so much…read moredog poop everywhere the dogs could barely run together. There are holes everywhere that could injure your animal. The people there were nice and monitored there animals. I will never go back unless they totally re build.
