This airport is on the smaller side. Only Southwest and Delta fly through here, but being on the smaller end, made it easy to get to your gate and to get to baggage claim quickly. But don't let the smaller size make you think it doesn't have much. My husband was particularly impressed with the Whataburger kiosk right past security. You can order there and then pick up when you get to Whataburger further down the concourse. DAL also had some live entertainment as well as ample other food and gift options. Our flights were relatively on time; security went fast; and the bathrooms were also clean. It checks all the boxes!

As a major hub and the home of Southwest Airlines, Dallas Love Field Airport is a busy place. However, there's one thing that could be improved: the water fountains and water refill station. They need a new filter, or perhaps the water quality in Dallas isn't as good as in the Bay Area, where we have exceptional water. I was disappointed with the taste of the water and felt it was overpriced for a regular 8-ounce bottle.

But based on the number of planes I saw taking off and landing, it seems like it stays pretty busy. The FBO we parked at was great. Super clean inside and there is a restaurant. The menu looked great and it looks like they get busy based on the number of tables. I loved that there are tables outside with umbrellas. It made it very pleasant to sit outside and watch airplanes come and go.

Addison is one of the busiest private airports in the country, and the 2nd busiest single runway airport in the country (Behind San Diego International) This means that you get to see a wide variety of aircraft taking off and landing all day. From Cessna 172s giving flight lessons, to big Lear Jets and GulfStream IVs whisking executives away. On the weekends you'll even see some warbirds from Jim Cavanaugh's collection taking off. Addison Airport has Cavanaugh's Museum, countless flight schools, and even a company to fly christmas light flights over Dallas and other romantic flights and tours. For those who love planespotting, there are countless spots to post up and watch planes. I won't give away my own personal favorite spot, you need to find your own! But Dooley Ln, where the Control Tower stands has some great views of the airport. And on weekends a lot of plane spotters like to park for amazing views of approaching and departing aircraft in the office park parking lot on Westgrove Rd. at the end of Runway 15 (The north side of the airport) Happy Plane Hunting.

Its not a large footprint, but ample enough so one will not feel crowded. As of this post there are 3 commercial flights between Waco and Dallas that cover a distance of 90 miles, and 50 minutes via American Eagle. The flights tend to be booked as American Eagle are normally staffed / managed by 3rd parties. Because of various reasons the outsourcing of these flights can result in delays. I some times question if it's easier to drive or fly between Dallas and Waco, or potentially fly into Austin. But if flying it's an easy commute flight if the connections make sense. I have flown into Waco several times and have never had a bad experience at this facility.
