I wasn't able to return the tool that same day so I told them I'd return it the next day and show them why I couldn't use it. I was called a liar when I said I didn't use it. If you want customers to return...try a different approach. Customer Service...maybe not. Rule #1...Make it right with the customer...THEN ask questions. Calling a customer a liar to their face won't make people want to come back. Having managed Hardware stores and Rental depts. I've walked in their shoes. They are simply doing it wrong!

They are always willing to help you out in finding an item or making sure that it us the right item to help you. Very well stocked with typical hardware items in garden, electrucal, plumbing, paint, etc. They also have a housewares section. Additionally, I have used their small engine repair services, located in a separate building across the parking lot. Very reasonable and pretty prompt. Lots of parking all around the building. I recommend this store!

My friend and I are building a deck, and needed five 6x6/8 feet long. The clerk said there were…read moreonly four, but that there were 16 footers available. We asked if we could cut a 16 piece in half. She stated we could have it cut in half by the floor staff. We paid and went out to the outdoor lumber area. We found the four 6x6x8s. We asked a person working out there, where the 16 footers were, because we were to have one cut in half. He pointed up, and said have to load it and take to around to where the saw was and cut it ourselves. We told him that the clerk said he would be able to help us. His reply: "she can come out here and do it herself". The 'rub' is that we are in our 70's. We muscled the board down, which is not only heavy but cumbersome. We loaded onto our trailer and drove around to the saw. We then muscled it onto a table so we could cut it in half. NO HELP! What if we had no idea how to use the saw? Is this normal for the St Croix Falls store? If one of us had been injured, this would have resulted in a major lawsuit.

So on a Friday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend we were able to get a new Whirlpool fridge delivered to our cabin just after 6 pm. I did have to pay the guy a little extra. However, Yourchuck's was not willing to do a delivery that weekend. Plus the appliance selection was better at Jenneman's than Yourchuck's. Definitely will come back because of the willingness to help.

I tried to call the company that made it, to ask about warranty...but they were closed for the holiday, until Monday...can't wait that long in this weather! So....we went in to L&M, where we bought it 6 years ago. Bob and Laurie listened to our dilemma; turns out there were 3 days left on the warranty! Not only did Laurie send us home with a replacement water heater, she allowed us to keep the defective one until we could transfer the fluids! We are so very lucky to have this store, this staff, in this small town! They could have easily said, "sorry, we can't help you until Monday." #smalltownbighearts THANK YOU!!
