Great place to stop for a quick bite to go or to sit out on their outdoor patio. Between the deli counter, salad bar, soups, hot food buffet, and fresh produce, Lambert's has something to offer for everyone. It also looks like a great spot to do some daily shopping. The store was immaculately clean and the presentation of their products was inviting. We found the sandwich prices to be rather pricey but hearty. Nonetheless, we stopped at Lamberts twice to fuel up for our lake adventure and beach day.

I love how fresh the produce is. The fruit is delicious and I love making chicken soup with the veggies.

Thus expect the farmers market to be at a special caliber. But APPROACHABLE. ITS GORGEOUS! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I'm not going into all the vendors because I'll be here all morning, and I'm hungry. But I will tell you that the berries, tomatoes, quiche ($75 for 2, so bring your kids tuition with you), the baked goods... just superb. Beautiful flowers. And the Osterville Historical Museum is open to the shoppers. BONUS! I went nuts grabbing everything I could until a ping on my phone said "honey, I think the card company needs to raise our spending limit" AND I was grabbing so many sweets, I felt a small guilt attack... Well, I got over that quickly... Everything is just beautiful, quality crafted, lots of love put into the produce and products. I was a bit unkind to the poor granola ladies who were so proud that their product is "glutten free, no sugar, etc." (it was ok, bland as all get out, but if you live in the hoity world of elite botox, Vineyard Vines, everyone wants to live to 100 looking 25... you'll understand the push)... I'm like "I'm sorry ladies but I like sugar, fat, alcohol, etc..." as I sampled the dry and bland cranberry granola (bless their hearts). I should have kept my trap shut. They're like "You're so lucky to not care and be able to enjoy those things" (back handed compliment, but I deserved it). Listen people, we are ALL going to die anyway and I doubt I will live to 100... to each their own. I just need to wear my chakras well and not be so rude. They were beautifully thin, tanned and healthy and proud of their product (it's good, just not for me). Throwbacks are parking and ANGRY people. Jeeze. Shoppers and some of the vendors are just ANGRY, and politely rude. But that can happen when "white rich" congregate (NOT ALL PEOPLE, but a big chunk of them - you don't see this in Newburyport or other lower key farmers markets). Overall, it's beautiful, full of delicious and wonderful things, and some people from out our way were having a joyful time. Friday 9-2, Jun 4-Oct 1. You're welcome. Because if you can ignore the angry birds, you are in for a treat! ITS BEAUTIFUL!

This one is on the way to Provincetown, so it was an easy stop. Trader Joe's is headquartered in Monrovia, California. The chain has over 530 stores across the United States. Trader Joe's is named after its founder, Joe Coulombe. The company began in 1958 as a Greater Los Angeles area chain known as Pronto Market convenience stores. Coulombe felt the original Pronto Markets were too similar to 7-Eleven, which he described as the "800-pound gorilla of convenience stores", concerned the competition would be too much. Coulombe developed the idea of the Trader Joe's South Seas motif while on vacation in the Caribbean. The Tiki culture craze was still widespread in the United States in the 1960s, so in a direct nod to the fad, the Trader Joe's name itself was a spoof on Trader Vic's, the famous tiki-themed restaurant that had opened its first location in the Beverly Hilton in 1955. Trader Vic's in Beverly Hills was notoriously expensive to eat at, but Trader Joe's in Pasadena would provide an irreverent and less expensive offering of food and drink. In years past, BusinessWeek reported that the company had the highest sales per square foot of any grocer in the United States. Fortune magazine estimates sales to be $1,750 in merchandise per square foot, more than double the sales generated by Whole Foods. Great prices, great quality, great customer service.
