A dessert bar with friendly staff welcoming yoy to try some of their goodies. Love Crepe serves crepes as the name would suggest, both sweet and savoury. Love crepe also serving a cooler form of sweetness that I love Gelato. I met up with one of our contributors Sakina at love crepe. Here to sample their easter promotion, the hot cross bun ice cream sandwich. Starting with a choc chip hotcross bun warmed on a hotplate already had me won, add to this equation a generous scoop of cinnamon gelato, somewhat a revelation. I wait in anticipation for next easter knowing where I will be visiting when I am craving a hotcross bun. We also sampled another of their new creations, a sweet crepe called The Pink Nutella Love crepe. Did you know that pink nutella is a thing? Well it is and it is quite the treat and it is one of the ingredients that make up this delicious dessert in a pink nutella prailine as nutella, crushed oreos, strawberries, artisanal vanilla gelato and some persian fairy floss for good measure. I would usually associate crepes as being a lighter form of dessert, not in this instance. You will literally have you hands full savouring this decadent creation. Love crepe is a must if whether you have a sweet tooth or not.

Such a cute little addition to the King's Cross shopping center! It's run by two French guys and…read morehas a nice mix of sweet and savoury crepes- They use generous servings of the "insides" and you can choose from either standard options (like the "la fitness" with egg, light cheese and chicken) or build your own. I opted for the vegetarian but replaced cheese with egg while my roomie opted for the three cheese version. Both were amazing and reasonably priced (all crepes are under $12)- Great coffee as well! Only downside is that there isn't any seating and a crepe isn't the easiest thing to eat, so you may have to stand around chowing down on your crepe.

As far as authenticity goes, the crepes were excellent. I was able to try the breakfast crepe and coffee special for $10AUD on an early Saturday morning. Everything is made from scratch and you can actually see them make it in the back. The cheese was delicious - not too heavy. It was light on the eggs, but that was fine with me. Didn't want to leave feeling overloaded. Overall, flavorful! Ordered the Cafe Latte and it hit the spot. Finished it to the last drop!

We were planning to hit up the zoo so I was looking for a place to eat in the Mosman area. Four…read moreFrogs Creperie looked pretty good so we decided to give them a shot. They have two other locations (Circular Quay and Randwick. We dropped in on a Tuesday afternoon for a late lunch. They have galettes, crépes, crépes on fire and drinks. Service is a bit spotty and they tried to overcharge us for our meal but it was fine enough. - Hot Belgian chocolate ($3.50 AUD small) - Litaly said it wasn't too sweet, which was nice, but pretty small. - Spinach & feta ($11.00 AUD) - a nice contrast to the meat special we ordered. The galette is thin but has a good crisp texture to it. It also tastes very light; you won't really feel full after eating a few of these. - Chorizo, tomato & Swiss cheese special ($17.00 AUD) - this was one of their special galletes of the day. It also came with slow cooked onions. Chorizo was tasty and had a slight kick to it. - Butter, sugar & cinnamon crépe ($12.00 AUD double) - plain and simple is sometimes the best. Nice way to end our meal. Good if you want to try some French galettes and crépes but a bit overpriced in my books. 3.5 stars.

Tried Four Frogs today on their 2nd day in business. So far I don't have much to fault so let's…read morehope they keep up the good work once they've been open for awhile because this place may just become a new favourite of mine! I'm also glad my family (visiting from overseas) got the chance to try it out before they headed off back home. One more thing to add to the list of why they need to come back to visit again soon. :) So how do I love thee? Let me count the ways... 1. The inviting open faced shop front. Something about these make me smile. 2. The authentic French vibe 3. The decor is right up my alley 4. The servers were friendly and the crepes came out quickly 5. The crepes were delicious (and there are tons of flavours to choose from) 6. The prices are totally reasonable, especially for mosman- and even the "simple" crepe is quite big. 7. They serve wine and cider! 8. It's only a 5 minute walk from my place and we seriously need some cool new little shops and restaurants in the area. I mean really... how many hair salons do you need on avenue road? So glad to see something different! Our group tried a variety of crepes. The boysenberry, Nutella & banana, sugar & butter, salted caramel & fig and finally the egg, cheese, mushroom and bacon (which was LOADED with mushrooms and bacon). All were great except we struggled to find egg in the egg one. Seemed like tons of cheese and mushrooms and barely any egg. REVISED- the original complaints below have now been rectified! They are open late on weekends and there are some new delish savoury flavours to try. My favourite are the goat cheese varieties. If I had any complaints (and these really are small, picky little things) they would be: 1. They are not open later than 5. Not sure if this is in their control or if it's a neighbourhood zoning type thing. There are some delicious looking dessert crepes that I'd love to try but the thought of eating them before 5pm doesn't work for me. This would be an awesome after dinner spot to have a glass of wine and a chocolate and french rum flambee. 2. The variety of savoury crepes is a bit lacking in my personal opinion. Seems like they were primarily breakfasty egg and bacon type flavours or ham and cheese. I'd love to see something a little different/unique that I'd enjoy for lunch since I'm not a giant egg or ham fan. Overall I'm stoked about this place. Really looking forward to trying all the other flavours soon.
