Ham, swiss cheese, egg and avocado crepe

This place was probably my favourite find on the month of May. AMAZING is the word, really. I went to the one in Mosman with a couple of friends and really cannot fault it: all crepes we had (savoury and sweet) were delicious. I had the breakfast crepe with ham, egg, cheese and avocado, a coffee, and shared a salted caramel and almonds crepe with a friend. I was in food heaven and quite satisfied for the rest of the day. Aside from the food being deliciously fresh and made right in front of you, the cute and friendly French waiters make this place a complete package. They're also spot on with their Social Media which is something I have a high regard for when it comes to businesses. I posted a photo on my Instagram and tagged them, they not only commented and followed me, but also reposted it on their own profile - talk about a business doing it right and engaging with their customers. Four Frogs, keep doing what you're doing. I like it. I like it a lot.

Amazing Crepes!! So far I have just tried the Banana & Nutella but I would love the to come back and try the others including the savoury! The crepe had plenty of Nutella and Banana and the crepe was perfectly thin and delicate. Absolutely delicious!

Fantastic savoury crepes on a quiet side street. I could have easily been convinced I was in a small town in France. We trusted the server's recommendations on a crepe off of the specials menu that had, among other things, blue cheese, and I think honey and walnuts maybe? We were not disappointed! If I had to find fault with something, the service was a little slow (but hey, we're re-creating France here, right?), and the coffee was just okay. Overall, good experience, and a great place to grab lunch after a morning at the zoo.

Their buckwheat crepes are the bomb! Super thin and light with a delicious array of toppings to choose from and served with some fresh leafy greens to add in some nutritional value and vitamins that we all need! We arrived as a large group in that intermission between a wedding ceremony and the reception and they were able to accommodate us outside easily. Their dessert crepes are also delicious! I probably shouldn't have eaten one as well as the savoury crepe as I was on my way to eat more at a wedding... but my dress was loose fitting so it worked out. I ordered La Tartiflette and then a special feature dessert crepe with caramelized peanut butter and pretzels and ice cream. Thankfully they have an option for a single size and la double which is double the crepe. I ordered the single and that was plenty for dessert! For the dessert crepes, you have the option of regular flour or the buckwheat flour. I had mine with regular flour and it was fantastic!

The four frogs stand at the BBR festival

Today i had a four frog crepe at the bleu blanc rouge crepe festival, which reminded me to write a review for the restaurant, which i have been to a few times. As a french person, i am often very surprised at how few creperies there are in Sydney. Such a simple and delicious recipe, and so many french expats in Sydney!! anyway, the four frogs did it, and they did it well (btw when are you guys opening in the eastern suburbs?) The galettes, savoury crepes, taste 100% authentic, and they are very reasonably priced. I personally always go with the ham and cheese, a remain from my childhood perhaps. For dessert, the nutella crepe is a must, although there are many other delicious options, like the crepes flambees, which are very popular back home. Now regarding the nutella crepe at the four frogs, i do believe that they are being a bit stingy on the nutella, and it breaks my heart every time. It doesnt need much more to be 100% satisfying. The restaurant itself is a bit small but cosy, with a lot of natural light, and the staff is very friendly. I would recommend to get a double ("la double" for either savoury or sweet, otherwise the meal is not really filling enough). It doesnt hurt to get a small salad on the side too, just to get a bit more greens in - usually present in small quantities in the crepes themselves.

After the fantastic Bistro Gavroche in Chippendale, my French food quest continues. This week I have been to this little crepe shop in Mosman. I had a crepe with pavlova and strawberries which the friendly staff recommended. That was a great choice. The crepe itself was very smooth and delicious one and the passionfruit sauce with pavlova topping was so creative. The only problem was there were so many attractive flavours and it was hard to choose. ;)

I've dined here a few times now and can confidently report that the food is amazing here as well as the beverages. However the biggest complaint for me is the service. Slow would be polite. It always amazes me that when you have a line out the door your host can't remember to come and give someone their bill. Had to actually get up and track the waiter down which there at present only 2. I reckon if you are a diligent patron you will be ok.

A dessert bar with friendly staff welcoming yoy to try some of their goodies. Love Crepe serves crepes as the name would suggest, both sweet and savoury. Here to sample their easter promotion, the hot cross bun ice cream sandwich. Starting with a choc chip hotcross bun warmed on a hotplate already had me won, add to this equation a generous scoop of cinnamon gelato, somewhat a revelation. I wait in anticipation for next easter knowing where I will be visiting when I am craving a hotcross bun. We also sampled another of their new creations, a sweet crepe called The Pink Nutella Love crepe. Did you know that pink nutella is a thing? Well it is and it is quite the treat and it is one of the ingredients that make up this delicious dessert in a pink nutella prailine as nutella, crushed oreos, strawberries, artisanal vanilla gelato and some persian fairy floss for good measure. I would usually associate crepes as being a lighter form of dessert, not in this instance. You will literally have you hands full savouring this decadent creation. Love crepe is a must if whether you have a sweet tooth or not.

I opted for the vegetarian but replaced cheese with egg while my roomie opted for the three cheese version. Both were amazing and reasonably priced (all crepes are under $12)- Great coffee as well! Only downside is that there isn't any seating and a crepe isn't the easiest thing to eat, so you may have to stand around chowing down on your crepe.

Yay first to review!!…read more In a nutshell: Cute shop, delicious crepes, tasty coffee, and a take away window, all without the pricey flight to France. Will I return? Absolutely! ************** My husband and I are preparing to relocate to Sydney from the states (!!) and after a full day of house hunting, we wrapped up our search in Lane Cove. Nothing makes you hungrier than traversing the city trying to find "the one"! I've always been a sucker for crepes, so when we spotted Four Frogs, it was an easy decision to stop. We both ordered from the daily specials board: Mine-blue cheese, bacon, fig, walnut, and Swiss cheese. The various flavor profiles and textures provided such a great balance. The creamy, tangy blue cheese contrasted well with the firm, sweet figs; the walnuts offered a welcome, earthy crunch; and the bacon and Swiss cheese provided a nice foundation for the dish. His-chorizo, manchego, caramelized onions, and potatoes. Mine was delicious, but his was OMG amazing! The chorizo was a little spicy, which paired well with the tender potatoes and subtle manchego. And you can't go wrong with caramelized onions in my opinion. We each traded a corner of our crepes so we could try both, but I wish we'd split them down the middle instead so I could have enjoyed even more! Dessert-another selection from the specials board-apple, homemade (!!) caramel sauce, and crumble, served à la mode. YUUUUMMMMM! It was so good I used his coffee spoon to scoop up every last drop of caramel and ice cream. :) Looking forward to coming back after the big move and checking out their other locations.

Incredible crepes, delicious chai tea lattes, and exceptional service. So worth the pop in.read more
