I am not impressed with Lakewood at all. I agree below, the signs posted in CAPS around the building are rude and sometimes threatening. The cooperate office is run by two very unprofessional women who have actually threatened to evict me over the phone for their own mistakes (I filed with BBB). They've gone through three managers in two years and two repair men- and now don't have one. They couldn't fix the heating in my apt, and one manager said "it's normal for the bedroom to be cold." The construction is poor and the walls are so thin I can hear people talking in the stairwell. Don't waste your time looking at this place. read more

I'm still there two years later, but its in-spite of the management, not because of it. There have been 5 different sets of resident managers ( I am now the longest tenant) and every one of them rolls in with the attitude 'there's a new sheriff in town' attitude. A new set of nasty threatening notes get posted to the walls and doors every time the management changes. The newest manager came knocking at my door three different times because he said he was worried about the pipes freezing. I had my window open in sub-zero weather because its less than 300 sq feet apt and the radiator heat is not well controlled so its all I can do to keep the temp down in the 70's even if it's sub-zero outside. Several residents tell me they have the same problem. But new sheriff had to be told three times before he decided to leave me alone. IDK. read more

I renewed my lease in October, and have never experienced anything that has been mentioned in the other reviews. The management has always been super friendly, and have only ever posted helpful information, never rude signs. For Halloween, they put out candy dishes and refill them everyday, same goes for around Christmas time. A Christmas tree on each level, and little candy canes for everyone. They even surprise us with yummy cookies from time to time! We didn't even want to look at different apartments when it came time to renew! Only the best to say about this place! read more

The smell (manure) and sounds (too loud to open your windows) from the livestock sales barn located just upwind to the northwest make this a place to avoid. I also found the managers extremely rude and slow to fix any problems within the building. read more
