12/08/2025: Service: Scheduled Check in- Dental inquiry about specific stain. Doctor Adelakun and Vanessa were the two people doing the service for myself today. Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Professionalism: 5/5 Knowledge: 5/5 Flexibility: 5/5 I have been going to this location for around 2 years, and I have not looked at another since. I randomly stumbled upon this gem when I was looking for a new dentist, coincidentally this place was next door to me, some call it faith. From the first experience I was hooked! I called the office to schedule a first time appointment & I inquired about cost to verify my out of pocket. I provided my insurance plan information, she confirmed if it was a PPO plan which I confirmed it is & the receptionist went on to state insurance would cover the cost as it was just a basic oral evaluation with X-rays & a teeth cleaning (although I knew with my plan I would only be responsible for a $50 deductible) I had no issues during my appointment & I paid my $50 deductible at the end of my appointment. It wasn't until I received a text on 2/15/25 indicating that I apparently had a balance of $63, that everything went SOUTH. Upon receiving that text, I called my insurance. They stated a payment was made to the provider, that the balance is $113 which is also indicated on the EOB & that the reason for the balance being higher than only my $50 deductible is because the provider is a Premier Provider & not a PPO provider so they are billing the insurance for a higher amount & they are balance billing the patient I then called the office. The receptionist initially stated there is a balance because the insurance didn't pay. We both had the EOB in front of us & I indicated what it showed that the insurance paid. She then went on to say that there was no payment for the first line item being billed (the oral eval)... I also mentioned that the insurance stated they are a Premier Provider, not a PPO provider so I'm being balance billed & the receptionist said it has nothing to do with that... I immediately called my insurance back. They confirmed again that yes, the provider is indeed a Premier Provider & they are balance billing. The insurance confirmed again that they did make a payment, that there was no payment on the oral eval but that it indicates there was a total of $50 that went towards my deductible. I immediately called the office back & spoke with the same receptionist & reiterated again what the insurance told me. At that point I was to receive a call back Next, I received a call on 2/22/25 from who I'm assuming is their office manager, Rose. When I informed her that when I called the office prior to my appointment to verify my cost & was told this would be covered, meaning no out of pocket besides the $50 deductible I knew I would have to pay, Rose went on to say that she finds that hard to believe considering her girls (the receptionists) have been there for quite some time & was essentially insinuating that I was lying about being told that. (An extremely disheartening experience & for her to insinuate that, it left a bad taste in my mouth). She also tried to guilt me by saying how hard it is for practices to stay open these days (which felt like manipulation) On 3/1/25 as shown in a photo of the text exchange I posted, it confirms that Rose stated I am correct in that it was told to me by their staff that this would be covered 100%. $63 is not necessarily a significant amount of money but it is the principal of the matter in which I was told my insurance would cover the cost of services (outside of my ded) but the office REFUSES to hold themselves accountable for their error & the misinformation I have gotten on more than one occasion & they REFUSE to answer any of my questions or address any of my concerns. When met with facts, they completely ignore them PLEASE SEE PHOTOS OF THE TEXT EXCHANGE I INCLUDED I still have yet to receive a call from the Dr as requested on 3/5/25 & I'm now being ignored by the office as I haven't gotten a text back & it's been a week as of today (3/23/25) since I sent my last message. I had no issues with Dr. Al's care. Unfortunately my experience is a reflection of the practice as a whole In dealing with the balance billing, the office was EXTREMELY unprofessional in how this was handled & how I was spoken to. The office REFUSES to hold themselves accountable, especially when presented with facts & they made up a false courtesy discount that was somehow already applied prior to me calling regarding the issue which is UNETHICAL & DECEPTIVE because there was never any "courtesy discount" applied. I truly felt like I was being gaslit & have never experienced anything like this with a medical practice let alone a dental practice. Their lack of care, their lack of ability & unwillingness to hold themselves accountable as well as their dismissive behavior is exactly why I would never recommend this practice & is exactly why I will ALWAYS refer everyone elsewhere read more

Had a tooth that really started bothering me on a Friday. I realized it is difficult to find a dentist to take in a new patient on a Saturday. Lakeview Dental was friendly and very welcoming when I called to make an appointment. They got me in first thing Saturday morning. Dr. Al was professional and very friendly as well. I'll start off by saying I'm terrified of the dentist, but Lakeview Dental is officially the exception. Part of my permanent retainer broke so I came in for them to take the remaining piece of it out and for an exam/cleaning since I was already going to be there. I booked the appointment around 2am and was seen at 10am. Absolutely seamless process. Everyone was beyond nice and helpful. Not nearly as scary as I thought it would be. I've been "blessed" with the genetics for soft teeth, or so some dentists have told me, and that means I get real acquainted with my dentists. I have one I normally go to, but it seems that their office suddenly closed or moved, and I was unable to make an appointment with them. I had a massive toothache a few days ago, and with it being so last minute, I needed to find a new one fast. Turns out, I was the lucky winner of a brand new root canal! Since this isn't even my first root canal, I'm kind of an expert on the matter, so listen up. No one gets excited about a root canal, but if you're in the market for one, Dr. Al is your guy. Seriously. Don't even bother looking for somewhere better to go - I'm convinced it doesn't exist. From start to finish, absolutely nothing hurt. I mean it, nothing. I don't know how he does it, but I usually have to get several shots of novocaine or it starts to feel like an episode of The Walking Dead in my mouth. Not today. One quick, painless shot, and now I realize either everyone else has been doing it wrong, or he just does it better. I've seriously had cleanings done at other offices that were more painful than this. Everything was clearly explained to me, including what and how things would be done. My x-rays were shown on the TV in the room, and while that interrupted an exciting episode of Access Hollywood (just kidding -- who watches this stuff?), it was well appreciated. Even the billing and costs were broken down to me in great detail so I knew exactly what I was paying for. The office is extremely pristine, and very much indicative of the care and quality of the work being done. If you've read this far, you either love reading dental reviews (hey, whatever floats your boat) or you're in need of some dental work. If it's the latter, give Dr. Al and his staff a call, you won't regret it. read more

I went here as a new patient because it was close to home. I may be blessed in my past experiences, but I could not have had a worse experience. The hygienist was constantly making uncomfortable comments about her very distinctive preferences on how she does her work which all made things very uncomfortable for me as a patient, physically and verbally. She constantly jammed the suction tube down my throat and, my favorite, laughed about how she forgot her glasses that day, all while the forced physical discomfort was taking place. The Dr. seemed decent, but he was very shaky with his hands, and he also made strong suggestions for unnecessary crowns, retainer change procedures, all things that felt like a strong "give me your money" pitch, when I have had no such pressure from prior dentists. All in all, I left knowing that I would never come back. A first visit to a dentist should be comforting, not a series of highlight scares and sales pitches. read more
