I'm traveling and won't be back in the Twin Cities until September 23rd, The ad runs through the 23rd. On Friday, I phoned to inquire about ordering on-line and picking up on the 23rd. I could not find the Old Fitz listed on the Liquor Boy website to order. The person who fielded my phone call waited until I'd asked how to order, then, in a very hostile manner barked "forty-nine, ninety-nine". I said I didn't understand the person's response. The person then uttered, "We aren't selling that bourbon for the price in the ad. It's $49.99, not the price in the ad. It was a misprint." I could easily understand that, as it was half of MSRP and probably protected by M.A.P. (federal minimum advertised price regulations) but the demeanor of Liquor Boy's employee was simply unconscionable. I've spent a significant sum in that store and do not expect to be treated with hostility. I said to the person, "I expect that walk-in customers looking for the Old Fitz special have expressed some displeasure." The response was, "They come in look for the display, can't find it, ask where it is, and when I tell them it was a misprint, they storm out the door, all day Thursday and today." I asked the clerk why a sign wasn't put up simply saying, "Sorry, the Old Fitz has been sold out." Your ad does say something like, quantities limited. "That's not up to me." The upshot is the criticism I've read about the rude behavior of Liquor Boy staff is unabated which indicates ownership isn't listening to customers.

I work in Roseville and come here a couple times a month and they have an amazing beer selection,…read morecraft beers and Anheiser-Busch type beers. They have tons of spirits as well and have a great loyalty program. The staff is always great and say hi when you enter and ask if you need help. They will chat with you if it isn't busy and it is one of quite a few around the Twin Cities. I really like the feel of this store, it large but feels like a neighborhood liquor store. You can stop by the next door Lunds/Byerly's if you need some groceries. Check it out!

They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I was able to browse at my own pace and when I was ready to find specific items, they were able to lead me to the exact spot in the store. The check out employee was friendly as well. It was easy to sign up for rewards - just need drivers license and phone number. My only complaint is that prices do seem to be higher than other liquor stores, BUT the rewards member prices can be a better deal than other liquor stores.

Fortunately, when you drop by Glen Lake Wine and Spirits, it doesn't matter how well versed you are on wines. This little shop has a great wine section - many, many different bottles of vino in varying price ranges. Don't fret, you tennis playing MInnetonka housewives, there's plenty of good vodka, too! The employees at Glen Lake Wine and Spirits are really helpful - recently, I walked in and said, "Hey, I'm going to mull some wine, so I want something cheap, dry, and with a good flavor." The guy behind the counter took me to a $6 bottle and said, "This is your wine." Seriously, it happened just like that. And you know what? It was perfect! Protip: When you're browsing the wine section, look for the tags under the bottles that have the employee faces on them. They're usually priced very well - often on sale - and are really well-described. (e.g. "Figgy taste, smooth finish, pairs well with steak.") These folks have the knowledge to be wine snobs, but they're not. They're just as comfortable telling you about the wide variety of local microbrews that they carry, the strange and exotic vodkas (today I saw a buttered popcorn flavored variety!) and the many other alcohols that they carry. Best yet, you're not going to go broke here. Nothing is over-priced. It's inexpensive, reasonable, and great customer service is always included. What more would you want?
