We are here a lot for the Lowe's store as well as occasionally the Macy's. And also for Big Lots on the north side. The restaurants have come and gone, but there are a few we like and patronize -- the fish and shrimp one and the middle eastern one to cite a couple. And the Burlington and TJ Maxx stores that were recently added are also a draw. It is our town mall, so we are happy it's now on the up side. They even have a number of outbuildings with businesses and restaurants and signs saying more are coming soon. Here's to supporting local businesses!

Broward County has set up the parking lot to be a drive thru vaccination site. County and city officials along with volunteers are working along with the mall security department to keep this site secure and organized. I received both of my vaccinations here and I was pleasantly surprised at just how smooth the process was. Everyone worked together to get us in and out as quickly as possible. Security did an excellent job getting us in the correct lanes and making the lot easy to navigate. After the fifteen minute waiting period, they were there to guide us out in a safe manner. This location is conveniently located in the old Macy's parking lot. Located on the SW corner of Federal Highway and Copans Road.

There are entrances from both McNab and from Federal. Being at the intersection of McNab and Federal it is very convenient to residents in Pompano, Imperial Point, Coral Ridge, and Fort Lauderdale.

Businesses in this plaza include GNC, CBD, Eyelab, Kitchen and Bath, Chill N' Nitrogen Ice Cream, the Poke Company, Park Plaza Dental, Club Pilates, Reef's Edge, and Summer's Animal Hospital. I have eaten and gotten drinks at both the Little Coffee Shoppe and TropiBowls. For a number of years the strip mall plazas along Federal Highway were aging badly and looking run down. It is nice to see the facelifts they are getting and the new business going in. This plaza especially has a good mix of places to eat and service based businesses. There's a lot of parking spaces, but during peak times, these spaces do get filled up quickly by customers coming into some of the stores. Businesses slated to open include Costco, Sports & Social, and PBR Cowboy Bar. There will also be office space and luxury hotels. Pompano Beach has lacked a downtown and a centralized, mixed use centers like other towns have. The Pomp will create jobs and a place where people can come together for food, entertainment, work, and to live. So far it is off to a great start.
