Literally the worst high school experience you could have. Don't send your kids to this horrible school that could care less about the students but cares more about their reputation. The front office staff are all rude and could care less about your needs. Glenn the AP (Assistant Principal) was so rude to us when we addressed our issues to him and gave us no solution to the problem and was not willing to work it out with us and didn't even let us talk with the actual Principal of the school. Some of the teachers (25%) are actually really great teachers and care about the students but then theres the other 75% of the teachers that could care less about the students or whether they pass the class and if they need help the teachers literally don't give a crap, they're just at the school for the money and could care less about the students. This school barely has any programs to offer to the students as opposed to the programs offered at Elsinore high and Temescal which have wayy more programs available. The teachers of the programs and sports here pick favorites and prioritize those students based on appearance no matter how hard a student works in the program, the teachers still prioritize their favorites. There is definitely in-class favoritism aswell for the sports and programs. Hard work at this school gets you nowhere. There's literally gates EVERYWHERE on campus , you're literally locked up like you're stuck in a prison. ASB is literally the most greediest program on campus. They claim to raise money for the "school programs" and don't use that money towards the school's programs, instead they use it towards fun trips for themselves (just ASB) like Disneyland and knotts and other fun places at no cost to them because they used the money that was supposed to be used for the programs. If you're a senior and you drive to school and decide to not have a 1st period and end up getting a free period (late start), they make you park in the student parking lot and yet they don't have security or anyone waiting to open and unlock the gate for these students when it's time for class, they end up late to class due to someone not being there to open the gate. Its only until a student calls the front office or until the late bell has already rung and they notice you standing outside waiting to get in that they let you in to the campus, and even then you get in trouble for being late to your class. Even if you got to school on time, you get in trouble and marked tardy by your teachers for not having a late pass even though you have a free period 1st period and don't start school until 2nd period, the teachers blame you and its not even your fault which is absolute bs. Overall this school is pretty crappy and I speak on the behalf of many other students who have attended here and agree with having similar experience while attending this school. Bad school. Rac1st teachers. Unengaged lessons. So many of the Teachers were hired when there was a shortage of teachers so do what you want with that info. if you're child is neurodivergent they will struggle. classes had 25-30+ students sometimes. You can't expect one teacher to be able to teach that many people and not have a problem. that's probably why some teachers will just flat out give up on some students. some countries it's illegal to have more than 30 students in one class so That's nice. Obviously some weirdo is going to read this and think "well why don't you go to schools in that country then" don't be dumb. Use your common sense. Also a lot of teachers are openly rac1st and homophobic that Isnt safe for children to be around. I don't care what you think any kind of politics Left or right shouldn't be discussed in a MATH class... you teach math the Students are there to learn MATH not here about how you love Biden or trump... On top of that an english teacher had a debate on if it's okay for transgender students to have their own restroom... we don't need to hear about this in English class lady. Plus the school already has a unisex restroom. So no need to debate something so dumb. Also can't forget the one ASB teacher that will hold a grudge Against you for you being a literal child. doing what children do. Then drag you off the bleachers acting entitled to be touching a child like that. Imagine getting triggered cause a streamer fell off. this school is pretty and that's about it. they spend more money on the looks Over anything else. also i noticed someone said something about the trailer park /campsite across the street.... you'll get some problems from them... not going to say what kind, but you'll find out.
