As a new patient, I needed to fill out several forms. They gave me the option to print them at home, fill them out & bring them to my appointment. I liked that. I was asked to pay a new patient fee of $100. Every visit afterwards would be $50. This was for someone whose insurance doesn't cover chiropractic care. Dr. Johnson & his staff treated me very kindly. I received very good care, with several different treatments offered to me that day. It helped alleviate the extreme pain I had been experiencing during my visit to Oklahoma. My brother is a chiropractor in Illinois, so, I've been very spoiled. Dr. Johnson got right down to business, listened to my issues & did a very good job helping me. While I was there, he had many patients come & go. It appeared to me that he had an extremely good rapport with each of them. That's the sign of a very good doctor. I live about 45 miles from Tulsa and wasn't looking for someone so far away but after that first visit and the expert treatment done on my neck, I was hooked. I no longer have headache, my range of movement is great and he took time to explain everything in great detail. l felt like he genuinely cared about easing my pain. During one visit he asked how I was doing and I told him that my neck was doing great but I was having trouble lifting a gallon of milk with my left arm. It hurt around my elbow and forearm so much that I had to use both arms to get the milk back in the refrigerator. He immediately started work on my arm, which surprised me because I thought it was an age related thing. After two treatments on my arm I can now lift a gallon of milk using just the one arm with no pain at all. I also want to say what a great office assistant he has in Brennan. Before I saw Dr. Griswold she sat down with me and made me feel at ease. She never fails to ask about my kids or grandkids and always has a smile on her face. A very special lady! With so many businesses severely lacking in customer service, it's nice to see someone who takes the time and effort to speak pleasantly with the patients. Two thumbs up! They expanded the business to surrounding Tulsa communities, like Jenks and Owasso, to reach their patient base. I've always felt I got the best adjustments from Dr Matt but did get adjusts by the other doctors when he was out or it was more convenient to go to the closer clinic to my home. They appear to have invested heavily to train and support the new chiropractors before they placed them in the expanded facilities. They gained experience and training and used 918Chiropractic as a stepping stone (such is life). I'm sure Dr Matt will have other well trained doctors to fill the shoes of Dr John and Dr Hunter that moved own to blaze their own trail.

I volunteered for her to do a Spohn assessment on me as I was having some numbness in my left hand. She did a little test on me and told me that I had spinal issues. I knew I did because I was feeling poorly all over. So I went for an assessment and tonight I went and had my first adjustment. I'm not kidding you I feel better tonight than I have in 25 years. The adjustment was not painful at all. One thing I can tell you about this operation is that they educate you and from my perspective because I understand this treatment they overly explain everything. That's not a bad thing because if you've never been through a chiropractic adjustment they make you feel very comfortable. I really did need to hear anything other than I'm going to make you feel better. My first adjustment tonight took less than 10 minutes and I feel 25 years younger. The office staff were friendly but after the assessment I got strange vibes like I was at a used car dealer mixed with a some cult religion. I shrugged it off and continued to do my appointments. After every one I left feeling like the doctor did not care to actually fix my problems, just look at a chart and pop whatever he felt like! Also his interaction with the rest of the staff seemed a little weird... I'll leave it at that. If you want a good scientific/healthcare chiropractic experience, go somewhere else!
