Diagn with Colitis ~ I had Cdiff in May, felt like it was back. I called my Primary Care & requested a Cdiff kit called in to the lab. That was done for me. A day later; Nurse Shelby called and left a voicemail that I was positive for Occult blood in stool. A different nurse , Rachel, called and gave my husband incorrect results, regarding Occult blood in my stool. Said I was Negative. See timeline below* I already knew from the patient portal, that my results were positive and that I needed antibiotics for a very bad infection, I said to please look again .. I knew she was reading the wrong line on the parameters. She said, oh yea, you're positive. We were then told no other doc in the building could write a script for me, and my doc would check the results from her house .. leading to my waiting another day for a antibiotic/script. I said they needed a different system in their office, if a doc is not available. .. waiting longer for an antibiotic was cruel I informed Rachel I would take my results to an Urgent Care to obtain the meds. Then nurse Rachel called me back ~ telling me "hey, it's 4:16, could you call me back by 4:30" ?? I got that message after 5 pm. I had no other option but to go to an Urgent Care, show them the Patient Portal results, and get my Antibiotics asap .. The next day the Nurse Rachel called again, this time said she could get antibiotics called in for me, I told her I already got them. She called later in the day wondering why I didn't pick up their antibiotics ?? I already told her I had them .. and had two doses in me. So frustrated, I left a Facebook review. Mixed with other negative reviews by others. On October 25th, 2022 rather than be sympathetic or apologetic for the substandard care with me; I received a certified letter in the mail telling me I was no longer a patient at their practice. I'm terminated as a patient? Because I expressed a moment of disappointment while very ill? Because I gave them a suggestion on how to do better for their patients ? Are they that sensitive that they don't welcome suggestions ? From patients that they absolutely let down ? I wasn't looking to leave ~ I was looking for antibiotics. Cdiff is dangerous. I'd been filling the toilet with blood for days, with a temp nearing 103. They'd want better care for their family .. to get antibiotics faster, and get healthy too. I would hope. But they terminated my care, mid treatment. Starting with a brand new doctor Is going to be a nightmare. I liked my doc, I have no idea how this is ok. Timeline/Phone call synopsis: 10/10 ER Visit at Utica/Owasso, until 4 am, pain, blood, diagn w colitis 10/11 called Primary Care doc for Cdiff testing Completed testing and dropped it off *High temp 10/12 Waiting on results *High Temp 10/13 10:59 am Shelby left me a voice mail message that my Occult test is positive *High temp 10/13 Rachel called my husband, told him my Occult test was normal/negative I got in the phone, and she corrected herself. Went into the: your doc is not here, her nurse is not here Told her it's emergent. I'd head to Urgent Care (Got a copy of my results off my patient portal and went to Urgent Care. 10/14 8:56 am, they left me a VM 10/14 1:54 I left a message for Dr Letney's nurse 10/14 4:15, Rachel called and left a message asking why I didn't pick up their antibiotics they called in that day. It was 4:15 and she asked me to call back by 4:30 10/25 1:54 pm I left a message for Office Manager no reply 11/7 4:40 pm I left a message for the Nurse, that I'm still symptomatic, possibly still infected or a new infection is back .. still waiting on reply 11/8 9:04 am I got an automated call reminder of appointment, I called to confirm if I actually had one. I was told "I'm sorry, unfortunately due to the letter, we have to cancel" I asked about that 30 days of care? "Oh yea, I guess .." she said. Then saying to check with the Nurse. I replied I'd left messages, that never get call back. I Told her I didn't especially have to come in .. this situation with them has been traumatic .. I don't want to feel like an outcast at an office where I'm not wanted .. but I'm re~symptomatic for Cdiff again .. I'd like a Cdiff test called in, and meds ordered if applicable. As I don't see a new Primary Care until Nov 30 The front desk simply sent me to the voicemail for the nurse, even after I told her I'd left messages for the Nurse and the Office Manager ~ w no return calls to me Ridiculous situation .. allowed to I linger in pain ..

However, before I could become a patient at that…read moreclinic, I was informed I first needed a referral by a family practicer established at a Warren Clinic. The Warren Clinic in Sand Springs scheduled an appointment for me to see Dr Wiegman, and I was able to see him in under a week's time, at the convenient hours of 6:15pm. From the receptionist, to the nurse, to Dr Wiegman himself, I found them all to be professional and kind. At our first meeting, Dr Wiegman sat quietly as I explained my situation; he was so quiet because he was listening so carefully. He immediately tried to help. I am glad I was able to see him. Not only did he help with the referral, but his attention to patient case details is obvious, and that gives me much confidence in his ability to assist me on any other medical situations.
