Review #011 - 2025…read more We love attending Christmas Tree Lighting events--so before our trip, I searched for all the Christmas events that were taking place in Las Vegas during our trip. I've been to their events before so I knew it was one of those events that I wouldn't want to miss, especially since it was on a day that we had no other plans. We showed up around 6 PM on Wednesday, 11/26. We got to hang out and take pictures with Santa! We enjoyed a free live concert! My daughter was extremely happy with her free cotton candy! Who doesn't like being in a happy and festive environment? We were here during Christmas back in 2022 as well and their decorations were beautiful! If you're ever visiting Vegas during the holidays, you should definitely look up their Christmas tree lighting events :)

I imagine that the rent here has to be very high. With the restaurant options it's really the only reason we come here. Hopefully they'll be able to find better tenants and bring in some stores that people actually want to shop at.

What happened to the Bath & Body Works store???…read more We visited this past sunday, Mother's Day- 2026. Hope that all you moms had a nice day! We parked in the parking garage across from Macy's. (Hubby has a hard time when it comes to parallel parking. Being from the Bay Area, that's a way of life for us!) Checked out the following stores: Lush, the Lego store, Macy's, Dillard's, Nordstrom Rack, & Rack Room Shoes. It is a walking-centered shopping center, but some drivers are not letting peds walk in the designated crosswalks. Shame. (In Cali, if you don't give right of way to the peds, you get a ticket!) The shade is nice. So it wasn't so bad. We definitely got a lot of steps in. We also walked to the water feature, that we remember our son being obssessed with, when he was a wee one.

Downtown Summerlin is one of those shopping destinations with a lot of potential. I did come across a few clothing stores I genuinely enjoyed, which isn't always easy to find. The landscaping is beautifully done. The greenery, open spaces, and overall layout give it a polished, inviting feel. It's clearly been designed to create an experience, not just a place to shop. The information booth is well positioned and generally helpful, although I was surprised they couldn't direct me to something as simple as a fresh green drink. I later found what I was looking for at True Food Kitchen, which seems like a fairly obvious recommendation in a center like this. My one real issue is the sheer size of the property. It's expansive... more of a campus than a traditional shopping center. What starts off as a pleasant stroll can quickly turn into a long trek, especially if you're not prepared. Comfortable shoes are not optional here. By the end of it, I found myself more tired than I expected. It's a beautiful place, but the scale can work against you if you're trying to cover a lot of ground in one visit.

The grocery and pharmacy stores here are a basic staple. I also enjoy shopping at the Hallmark store and recently a new coffee shop opened up. It's good for parking and walking around. A walk can easily extend to the nearby park and walking trail as well as the Summerlin Library circle.

The access in and out of the plaza is very good, but not great. Kind of tight on the curves maneuvering up and down the parking aisles. From the street entrance with traffic signals, a left or right turn forces you into an almost immediate left or right turn again or else you drive over parking spaces. You have to be careful turning left and then left again as you are also dealing with vehicles exiting out of the JackintheBox drive thru at that point. Still, it's located directly off of a major street and offers some businesses I like, and it's not too far away for me so there is a convenience factor.

In fact, we were here yesterday afternoon at Sprouts (there was an older lady on a rascal asking for money in the parking lot, FYI- the overall crowd here is mixed, families, couples, singles, older, younger, etc.). We usually plan out our weekend jaunts, so when we are in the area, we plan accordingly. Also located here: 99 Cents Only store (it's hit or miss with this store), eight other fast food options/ restaurants like Panda Express, Samurai Sam's, Subway, Del Taco and Windy City Beef (hotdogs). Banks, a paint shop, and a variety of services are also located here. The parking lot is huge, and there are several points of entry from at least three directions of the shopping center. Next business on Lake Mead is a soccer field. And two other shopping centers are across from Summerlin Gateway Plaza. It's also across from a housing community. I used to work nearby at a real estate office, so I'm familiar with the area. Now that we live in Summerlin, we often shop in local shopping centers.

The shopping plaza increasingly has stores selling furniture, outdoor lifestyle gear, formal attire, pets and supplies, health and beauty merch, liquor and liqueur, plus your regulars such as Target, Ross, and Office Depot. It's busy as ever especially with the holiday season. Parts of the parking lot have a queue and bustle of pedestrians and shoppers. That all attributes to the spark and attractiveness of Boca Park. The other awesome thing is this Plaza is directly across from another lovely shopping and dining locality (Tivoli Village) off of Alta Drive. I love this area!

I waited close to 17 mins for that pizza and was told it takes time to make fresh pizza. Overall, this is the place to be! Prices are the same as if you ordered a sandwhich from the gift shop but this place has way better food. You get a bang for your buck here. I did not feel ripped off. Excellent place. The only business that had more than a couple of customers was the View Wine Bar, in the middle of an otherwise busy weekend afternoon where other businesses where packed and a farmer's market filled the plaza with foot traffic. This area has a variety of complementary but non-competing businesses clustered together: a braiding/blow-dry bar and a tanning salon, a portrait studio and an art shop, a candy store and kid's clothing shop, and a surprisingly stunning décor store. Several of them seemed to be hurting for business though, with a single bored-looking employee and no customers. Property management seems to be making an effort to direct traffic this way: there are standing easels in the outdoor plaza pointing to the entrances in the area, there is a dedicated elevator in the parking garage, and extensive wall-art encouraging visitors to stop in and explore. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working.

You'll locate the seating right next to Wahoo's! It's easy to get to as well! You can take the 95/N exit or the 215/Durango exit to get to the Centennial Plaza. There is also a ramp to get back onto the 95/S from the Starbucks location!

One of my favorite spot as it had Sweet Tomatoes a buffet of soups and salads was one of my favorites has closed though I still do come here whenever I'm in Las Vegas as it has so many shops that I love and is so easy to get to. With shops like Stein Mart, Ross Dress for Less, Marshalls, Five Below, TJ Maxx and even Bath and Body Works (before we now have here in Hawai'i) Burlington and Nordstrom Rack they have so many priced friendly shops found here all in one place is the reason I that I do love to take my retail therapy sessions here. There are lots of other shops and services as well and with a quite a large parking lot it's so easy to get here though I'd say all they need is a Trader Joe's and I don't need to go elsewhere to shop lol! They had a particularly nice selection of princess dresses to adorn girls for Easter.. There were also a lot of colorful and cute purses for Easter wear. Probably their best stocked item are shoes and there were lots and lots of shoes to choose from in all sizes, from casual to dressing.. I scored a beautiful faux leather skirt and a bold printed pair of Palazzo pants to replace some of my favorite black-and-white striped pants, so it was a win-win situation for me! I wore those pants to the Eiffel Tower restaurant the next day and they were a smash hit!!

I needed some items from a national men's brand to replace some worn out items and strangely enough, Nordstroms seems to be the only store that carries what I want. Thankfully the online store carries the same. I had debated going to the brick and mortar store but I think I'm in my pre-black Friday avoid all in person shopping if I can mode. Since what I was looking for was purchased before I was confident that ordering on line without trying on would be ok.... So bright and early this AM with my faithful pooch and cuppa joe at my side, I rubbed a few more microns of plastic on the 'ol' credit card and ordered my items... easy peasy to move through the menu, finalize my purchase and get confirmatory email. I guess my only negative is the shipping charge (free if over 89.00) and since my purchase was a little less, I had to pay. It wasn't worth purchasing more to get "free" shipping. But all in all, a decent experience.

The plaza is anchored by Albertsons grocery store, CVS, Starbucks, and McDonald's. Don't underestimate the allure of Starbucks or McDonald's. Most days their respective drive throughs are jammed with traffic backing up on to Charleston Blvd. You'd do your best to avoid that section of the sprawling complex. If you absolutely must get your Starbucks, order ahead via the mobile app, park in the Albertsons parking lot, and walk to Starbucks. You'll thank me later. The plaza also features a nail salon, two banks, two insurance offices (Allstate and State Farm), a tanning studio, a barber shop, bakery, Port o Subs, Pizza Hut, and a killer sunglass shop. There's even a former Blockbuster Video turned into a Goodwill Store (Deja Blue).
