He's the only dentist I've ever seen and I plan on keeping it that way for the future. He's even out of my network for my dental insurance so you know I mean business when I pay that higher copay just to see him! What I love about Dr. Carlin and his staff is that they're always so welcoming and accommodating. They truly treat me like family! 2 years ago I had a freak running injury where I tripped and face-planted. I busted up my lips and two front teeth badly. That day he took me in immediately and did the most amazing job repairing my teeth. His staff gave me plenty of ice and even had milk and snacks on hand so I could take some Motrin for the immediate swelling. You can't even tell they're not my real teeth! 2 years later and I just had my 6 month dental cleaning. I mentioned that my two front teeth are doing well but there was minimal staining on them from the accident. Dr. Carlin is now going to do some more dental work to make them good as new .... to no extra charge to me. Beyond blessed to have such a wonderful and caring dentist! Highly recommend him if you're in the Chesterfield area! Heather and Rose are fantastic hygienists as well!

Not only did I encounter discriminatory treatment during my visit, but the customer service was also significantly lacking. The front desk staff was unhelpful and dismissive. They refused to call my son's dental insurance. I called them on speakerphone to confirm it was active. The insurance representative even faxed over his benefits. I saw a front desk girl walk around the corner with a large bag full of shredded paper. They made me wait a bit, then said they never received the fax and that I would need to pay out of pocket. Additionally, the "manager" attempted to contact me after I left the office, the approach was unprofessional and did not address the issues I had raised. Both interactions were extremely unpleasant. To make matters worse, I found that Growing Smiles Pediatric Dentistry is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB). This lack of accreditation raises concerns about the business's commitment to resolving customer complaints and adhering to industry standards. I STRONGLY advise potential patients and families to consider these issues carefully and explore other options if they have any concerns. My experience was disappointing and frustrating, and I hope the business will take meaningful steps to address these problems and improve its poor service. I would have left ZERO stars. The staff was horrible since we were children. They were rude to us, ignored our questions, yelled at us, even held down my younger sister when she was a scared 5 year old. Parents aren't allowed back there for a reason. In terms of dental care, they are awful. The orthopedic is amazing, no complaints. My sister and I both had wonderful experiences there. But the dentists are awful. They never answered our questions as children and even as an 18 year old. They would tell us they would talk to our parents instead. When it came to dental issues, they weren't taken seriously. We were always told to "brush more" and that we weren't doing a good job, even as 17 year olds who were brushing multiple times a day. They would tell us our teeth were fine with no issues, when in reality we had cavities and issues with our teeth. They wait until it's too far to fix these issues. After we turned 18, we switched to a new dentist. At the new place, 6 months after our last cleaning we were both told we had multiple cavities and issues with our teeth. My sister had to get a root canal when she was told her teeth were perfect 6 months ago from the pediatric dentists. At the new dentists we were treated with respect, and actually were given information and answers to our questions. We were given real advice rather than "brush more" and able to find the cause of any dental issues. This place traumatized me and my sister as children. We struggled for years and were extremely afraid of coming to this dentists due to the disrespect and awful patient care. There is a reason parents aren't allowed to go back with their children. I do not suggest any parent take their children to this dentist, take your money elsewhere for better care and a better experience.

She is only at this location on Wednesday afternoons, but she has the most gentle hands and the rarely makes me feel the pain during the cleaning.
