The past few years I have…read moreneeded a handicap room on the first floor because the second floor handicap room you have to walk and carry everything the whole length of the building. So I booked the lower level in February for July and August and requested the room that I usually stay in. After driving 8 hours I go to check in and they gave my room to someone who insisted on the lower level and put me upstairs thinking I was too dumb to figure out what happened. They compensated me some after a lot of arguments and frustration but the first night I had to stay upstairs and move all of our belongings again. Why they have a handicap room 100 yards away from the elevator doesn't make sense. I hope they take my compensation out of the clerk's pay check but I have a feeling it was the manager that did it.

We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor water slides, something you won't find hardly ever. We played putt putt golf after. The entire perimeter of the property is dedicated to fun activities for kids. You can tell it is family owned and they take pride in it. From the fully stocked pool towels, the spotless rooms, the clean fresh scent everywhere, and the well maintained facilities and amenities - nothing here has been allowed to slide. Everything is open longer than other hotels, the service is fast and friendly, outside is well lit and spotless. Chain hotels around here charge more, and offer much less. I highly recommend!

The motel isn't fancy, but it meets your needs and the food in the restaurant is pretty good. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are cheap. Having a restaurant and bar on site is a plus. The only thing I would mention that could use work is the cleaning crew could pay a little more attention to detail (discarded sock, bottle cap, and loose change on the floor in 33). I'd book a guys' trip to stay here again. If you have a high maintenance girlfriend or wife (or both) this motel may not be quite up to their standards.

Upon entering the room, seemed like an average low budget "lodge", but the AC didn't work and I was going to call down to the front desk with the room phone, but of course, there wasn't a room phone. I decided to look past it and watch some Netflix with the free wifi... That yet again another thing that didn't work in the "lodge". At this point in time, I didn't really care anymore, it was late and I just wanted to shower and go to sleep... No water pressure to speak of in the shower. It was not much more than dripping out of the shower head. All in all, this lodge was the worst experience I have that I have had the displeasure of enduring. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.

My experience was as follows: 1. They advertise free wireless internet. It is true, they have it, but the signal is weak and doesn't work half the time. Once you get connected it kicks you off. When you call the office to inquire about it, you're basically told "I don't know what to tell you." 2. The cable television connection is horrible. The majority of the offered channels don't come in, and those that do only stay a portion of the time. 3. My electronic room key card expired every 2 days despite the fact that I was staying so long. I was told this was for safety, but I didn't feel it was very safe when at 11:00 pm trying to access my room I could not do so. Granted, Warsaw is a fairly safe place, but even so. 4. I saw the same KFC cup sitting in the parking lot for the majority of the time I was there. I'm not sure that they ever cleaned the grounds. 5. This was the worst one. I spilled salsa on the coverlet on the bed. While trying to get something to clean it up, it soaked through the coverlet, the blanket and onto the bottom sheet. I stripped all from the bed and put in corner for maid to change. When I came back later after the maid had serviced my room, the coverlet and blanket were back on the bed. That made me question just how clean the room was to begin with. 6. I had to leave 2 days early and asked for a late check-out. The person who answered the phone (not positive, but I'm pretty sure was one of the owners) was extremely rude to me and told me that I absolutely could not because they had many people checking in that night. When I pointed out that I had had the room reserved and technically it wouldn't have been available anyway, he was still very rude to me. I will say that the front desk help that I did interact with in person, were very friendly to me, so it's not everyone who is not helpful or rude, Just a few select people. Would I stay here again? Never! I'd rather stay in another town and drive to visit my family and friends than stay at Truman Lodge.
