We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor water slides, something you won't find hardly ever. We played putt putt golf after. The entire perimeter of the property is dedicated to fun activities for kids. You can tell it is family owned and they take pride in it. From the fully stocked pool towels, the spotless rooms, the clean fresh scent everywhere, and the well maintained facilities and amenities - nothing here has been allowed to slide. Everything is open longer than other hotels, the service is fast and friendly, outside is well lit and spotless. Chain hotels around here charge more, and offer much less. I highly recommend!

I complained, Steve complained and we kept being told to just let the water run as they just finished putting a new water heater in. Quaint little casino with lots of parking stalls in front and an overflow off to the side. I'm not much of a gambler but my mom loves the game, especially the slots. She did not come up this time, but she had a great time. For me, being a non-gambler, I brought my laptop and settled in the tables near the casino's entrance. The new Brew Brothers is just another average restaurant. Prices are in line with other like eateries. The casino is 95% worthless slot machines and/or other worthless electronic games. They have eliminated almost all table games and the few that remain are never open most of the time. Only thing good is that it's not too far of a drive from anywhere in central Missouri and with Vegas now a place only for rich people it's about as good as it gets these days. Don't expect to win any money here though! They have the machines locked down tight as they seldom ever payout anything worth talking about. Oh , sure $20-$30 here and there on occasion, but who goes to a casino to win that small amount of money considering 90% leave poorer!

I was seeking an inexpensive place to stay for the night so this seemed like a logical place to…read morestay. The woman at the front desk was polite enough, but a bit unprofessional. Upon entering the room, seemed like an average low budget "lodge", but the AC didn't work and I was going to call down to the front desk with the room phone, but of course, there wasn't a room phone. I decided to look past it and watch some Netflix with the free wifi... That yet again another thing that didn't work in the "lodge". At this point in time, I didn't really care anymore, it was late and I just wanted to shower and go to sleep... No water pressure to speak of in the shower. It was not much more than dripping out of the shower head. All in all, this lodge was the worst experience I have that I have had the displeasure of enduring. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.

If you're desperate and have no other option, this motel will suffice. I booked it thinking I'd…read moresave a little money since I was going to be in town for close to 2 weeks. My experience was as follows: 1. They advertise free wireless internet. It is true, they have it, but the signal is weak and doesn't work half the time. Once you get connected it kicks you off. When you call the office to inquire about it, you're basically told "I don't know what to tell you." 2. The cable television connection is horrible. The majority of the offered channels don't come in, and those that do only stay a portion of the time. 3. My electronic room key card expired every 2 days despite the fact that I was staying so long. I was told this was for safety, but I didn't feel it was very safe when at 11:00 pm trying to access my room I could not do so. Granted, Warsaw is a fairly safe place, but even so. 4. I saw the same KFC cup sitting in the parking lot for the majority of the time I was there. I'm not sure that they ever cleaned the grounds. 5. This was the worst one. I spilled salsa on the coverlet on the bed. While trying to get something to clean it up, it soaked through the coverlet, the blanket and onto the bottom sheet. I stripped all from the bed and put in corner for maid to change. When I came back later after the maid had serviced my room, the coverlet and blanket were back on the bed. That made me question just how clean the room was to begin with. 6. I had to leave 2 days early and asked for a late check-out. The person who answered the phone (not positive, but I'm pretty sure was one of the owners) was extremely rude to me and told me that I absolutely could not because they had many people checking in that night. When I pointed out that I had had the room reserved and technically it wouldn't have been available anyway, he was still very rude to me. I will say that the front desk help that I did interact with in person, were very friendly to me, so it's not everyone who is not helpful or rude, Just a few select people. Would I stay here again? Never! I'd rather stay in another town and drive to visit my family and friends than stay at Truman Lodge.

Things to consider.... they do not provide shampoo or conditioner so bring your own and there are no plug in near the head of the bed so bring a long phone charger or extension cord. But for the price it's a small thing. My only issue and again a very small one is I wish they had a bath mat to put down when you step out of the shower. I was the only one in the room so I just used one of the hand towels. Great place for the price! Will definitely stay there again if the need arises.
