Dr. Maltz is a one-woman wunderkind!…read more She took me from a 30 lab Christmas tree (half red, half green) to 29/30 green in less than 2 years. If that sounds like a long time, (a) you don't understand medicine, (b) you haven't been suffering long enough. What a wonderfully warm woman. Although not a fan of many of my life choices the didn't "tsk" or such. She worked with who I am and made me better. In more ways than the lab work can show. Truly a healer.

I didn't have a great experience with Dr. Maltz. I had to fill out a pretty extensive questionnaire…read morebefore our first meeting, and then she spent most of the meeting asking me the same questions (sometimes twice, as she wasn't fully listening). For the fee she charges, I was let down by the experience, and her recommendations. But maybe that was a one-off and hopefully she is much better most of the time:)

Before I begin, I must disclose a couple things…read more.. Cat is a friend and former classmate, but that has no bearing on my opinion or review...I promise! I typically try not to review businesses of people I have a personal connection to, but I'd be remiss NOT to let the community know about the incredible service Cat provides. As a former health care professional and alternative healer, I can be...well...selective when it comes to seeking help for myself. Much in the same way a professional chef holds a few other chefs in high regard, or the way a lawyer or doctor will trust very few in their profession to help resolve their own issues. This is how I regard Cat. I can count on one hand the number of practitioners that I trust enough to take care of my health issues. Cat's knowledge and professionalism are unparalleled. I recently came to see her for a chronic pain issue that stemmed from a traumatic injury which occurred while deployed. DURING the treatment, I could feel the pain level decreasing. The most important characteristic of a truly gifted healer is the ability to adapt the treatment style and modality to the patients needs. Cat has this talent. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone in need of healing. I have no qualms about placing my well-being in her hands...and neither should you.

Cat has a very calming personality, listened to my concerns and I felt a lot more relaxed after the session. I got some acupuncture and she did some cupping as well. I was also fighting a slight cold at the time and she did some stuff to boost my immune system. I came out of the session feeling like jello and feel like my body healed so I was able to get through a long week ahead of me. Definitely would recommend Cat. Nice clean and quiet office and she explained everything really well. Will be back!

I continue to be so thankful for finding Dr. Calvanese. I started seeing her after the birth of my…read moresecond son and she helped me with so many postpartum issues; depression, prolapse, stress. I don't know how long I would have been spiraling without her help. She not only helps target the root cause of your symptoms, but she's such a supportive ear in any season of life. She's incredibly understanding, encouraging, and honest. She's also treating my son for eczema and we've seen such an improvement. It's been pretty amazing to watch the changes in his skin overtime. I also had a cyst in my eye that doctors wanted to remove surgically. To avoid that terrifying thought, I went to Marianne and she gave me a remedy that not only shrunk the cyst within a week, but also helped get rid of some toxic thoughts that were circling in my head that I haven't had in a very long time which was also a sign of my eye symptom. I'm always in awe at the process of homeopathy and I wouldn't choose anyone else to take care of my family. If you're looking for a holistic way to care for your health, try Austin Naturopathic!

Each visit he seemed a little lost and I had to remind him what and why. He even had younger employees or interns of some kind in the room taking notes and still couldn't keep on track. I'm sorry, but I knew more about my condition than he did. The front office wasn't much better. Prices varied wildly for the nutritional IV services and the push to overpay for their supplements was strong. I finally gave up. It was very clear that money was the entire goal of these visits. I spent a lot and made no progress.

I left several phone messages and emails and nothing was done. This lack of care and follow up is ridiculous after paying $800 dollars for a one hour session with the doctor. This organization is a total scam and obviously doesn't care about their patients. It's very sad and disheartening that they can charge so much for people suffering with illnesses and take advantage of their patients.

Before I met Lauryn, I had already seen Naturopaths and Functional Medicine practitioners. I'm…read morepretty savvy myself when it comes to health and consider myself a "research queen", so it was devastating when my health issues weren't solved. I knew Lauryn was different from the moment I met her. She filled the holes in ways that previous naturopaths and functional medicine practitioners had not been able to fill. With Lauryn, I finally realized I was trying to do "all the right things" while still doing many wrong things for my specific needs. Things like taking the right probiotic, eating more "hydrating, colorful" foods with more healthy fats and less raw veggies, SWEATING and moving almost every single day... Things I had either lost sight of or didn't realize I was doing "wrong". No wonder it felt like I was banging my head against a wall. Concerning past gut treatment protocols for SIBO/Candida, I was doing it all wrong before!! For example, I learned that taking biofilm disrupters are necessary for successful treatment. And I learned that eating a healing diet for the lining of my small intestine was crucial DURING the treatment phase (not merely AFTER). Lauryn helped me gain new perspective on the lymph and immune systems, and it was a game changer. My unexplained hair loss and swollen lymph nodes suddenly made more sense as I realized how those systems connected to adrenal and gut health. A few additional points highlighting Lauryn's unique approach: 1. Lauryn helps open your eyes to what you "can" enjoy as new foods, habits, lifestyle, and activities...instead of focusing on what you "can't" have or do. Replacement is key to success! When I told her that I just wanted to kill whatever pathogenic activity was going on in my gut, she confidently reinforced "I'm going to help you LOVE on your gut". She definitely helped me with a big mental shift, leaving me reevaluating my former hatred towards my body and its temporarily dysfunctional systems. 2. Lauryn goes in the proper order for treatment/healing protocols--Working on foundational items FIRST and then addressing secondary issues, so as not to overwhelm the body with treatment phases and struggle more than necessary. 3. Lauryn stays up to date with the latest research. As in, "which probiotic formulas just got changed with different strains of probiotics". These are critical details that many doctors/practitioners can't or don't pay attention to. That's a huge benefit of working with a fellow research queen like her! 4. Because of the way her programs are structured, she is able to spend more time with her patients than the average doctor/practitioner. The accountability is INVALUABLE. Quality over quantity makes all the difference! I have learned SO much more with Lauryn than I ever expected to know. I'm on a whole new level!! I am steadily healing. And I have full confidence that I will heal completely, just as Lauryn reminds me to train my subconscious brain and pituitary gland: "You WILL heal". I can't recommend Lauryn enough.
