The brilliant thing about this shop is the owner who also deals with most of the customer orders. He really knows his stuff and can give you invaluable advice. We were ordering a few items at once but he easily switched his knowledge from ovens, to fridges, to sinks with ease. They arranged delivery and fitting of all the items with care and ease. After consulting the internet their prices are just as cheap as anywhere else.

I wandered in with a (guy) friend who pooh-poohed all kitchenware, and yet even he walked out with a Japanese carving knife at £60... They even get stock in for you if you ask them to. I feel a bit bad, as I asked them to get in a bean slicer, only to immediately find one elsewhere. The 10 bean slicers sitting forlornly on their hook stare at me every time I go in...I don't feel too bad though, I have since bought a jam funnel, some olive wood spoons and a special cleaning brush for sweetcorn.

My old knives were becoming blunt and so searched for a knife that doesn't blunt easily - which is where I discovered Ceramic Knives! I did some research and decided to try them out. I couldn't be happier with the knives I brought from Rocknife - they slice through all veg and meat (though I'd be very careful using them on boned meat otherwise they might chip and wouldn't recommend using them to crush garlic either).
