After spending a lot of time and effort discussing the design, this company decided to make…read moresweeping changes and thought they could hide that which meant it was a battle constantly to try and get the kitchen that had been agreed. The end result was more of a compromise which was very disappointing. Having commenced the build in late September, it was not finished by January 2017 for various reasons and delays (mainly where they had ordered the wrong part or tried to fit the wrong part or a damaged part). This was despite being told it would only take around 2 weeks. The whole process was unpleasantly stressful and when they were near completion they went off and ignored me and then refused to repair the parts that had been identified as damaged. This is the sort of company Watchdog warns you about. Avoid at all costs.

Our designer Alix listened carefully to our requirements and made excellent suggestions that maximised the available space. He understood the look we were after and, because of the recommendations, we have an extremely stylish and practical kitchen. No detail escaped their notice: he was very good at gently steering us away from certain misguided notions and enthusiastically incorporated and improved our ideas that worked. What could have been a deeply stressful process was in fact a pleasure. As a result of all the time and care put into the design, we have a beautifully bespoke kitchen. The installation process was smooth. Martin coordinated everything perfectly with our builders - and frankly deserves a medal for his brilliant organisational skills. We did have a problem with one appliance - and while the manufacturers let us down, Kitchen-lab did not. The aftercare was excellent. Alix and Martin continued to work with us and provide us with support and assistance. They were steadfast and ensured the problem was resolved to our satisfaction. The food in the sit down restaurant isn't the best though they have plenty of vegetarian options aligned to each meat option it's limited. Cheap hot drinks and free if you're an ikea family member Monday to Friday only. Never tried so cant comment on the coffee. The only bug bearer is the layout as you kinda have to walk around the whole store to get to the exit...no short cuts but obvious why that's the case. Extremely busy on a Sunday morning right after opening.

I would say it's pretty much like any other IKEA however top things to watch…read moreout for are: -Bargain Corner is incredible, with some amazing deals (compared to IKEA Glasgow for instance) -Late opening hours are great (unless you work there...) -The store itself is pretty small but attracts a hell of a lot of people, which means it can feel cramped if you visit on a busy day - top tip, avoid bank holidays and Sundays!
