This place is horrible for the $141/night. We booked thru hotels.com and advertised "pillow top" king bed which, when we got there, our booking for a king bed didn't exist however they had two double beds. Ok, we are in a pinch so let's do this. After running my credit card the attendant got the room key and walked me to the room (never had this happen before...). When we walked in the room was run down, beds sagged in the middle, no "pillow top" to be found, smell of mildew and in general a place where you bring a hooker. All units feature resin chairs outside the door where you can sit and smoke. Sorry to stereotype but this screams low income, low class. If this isn't a sign to cut and run I don't know what is. Take this advice and steer clear. read more

The host was extremely rude. We booked two rooms, and when we arrived, only one room was available. They had given away our room. The host brushed this mistake off and told us that the second room would not be available until the following day. There was no apology or explanation for what happened. We checked into the single room and quickly discovered that this hotel was infested with bed bugs. I saw them crawling on all the furniture as soon as we entered the room. The pillows were stained yellow and the fleece blanket was crusty. The room smelled like smoke even though we booked a nonsmoking room. We immediately returned the key and left the hotel. We had to Uber back to Muskegon to find last minute accommodations. Despite all these issues, the host refused to refund us for the two rooms. I had to seek a charge back through my bank. This is by far the worst motel I have ever stayed at. I do not recommend anyone staying here. read more

Yelp needs to add 0/5 option. This place should be condemned. Without question the worst motel we have ever seen. Broken furniture. Mold on walls. Filthy floors, moldy grout, dried urine and flies in bathroom. Nasty stench in room (owner sprays the room with disinfectant/freshener on opening the door before giving you access). No evidence room had ever been cleaned. Owner charges CC before giving access to room, then starts giving abuse and shouting and arguing when asked for an immediate refund when you come back to office saying there is no way you are staying there.. As others mentioned, they don't seem to know about your reservation either when you arrive, and then when you realise you can't stay there, you're left scrambling trying to find a room last minute for $250+ a night. The one good review has to be a fake left by the owner years ago. read more

I only gave this motel a1 star because I couldn't give it a zero. We had booked this for 2 night but only stayed one. When we checked in the owner wouldn't give me the key to the room until he walk me to the room opened and sprayed the room with scented. Then gave me the key. My wife and I searched the room. In the bathroom dirty and stained towels along with a toilet seat that didn't fit the toilet ( I can't make this up). Our bed had stained sheets and the blanket burn holes in it. The table and chairs are old and dirt. This place is disgusting. The photos they show in there ad are nowhere near the real story read more

I made the rookie mistake and paid before looking at the room. Nasty stained sheets, bed spread, bathtub, sink, towels and wash clothes. Flies, bugs and the place smelt like feet and butt. I mean absolutely disgusting. The manager would not dare refund my money and was very rude. There was no way we were going to stay the night here. The manager literally chased our car while we were leaving, banging on the windows yelling that he would change all the linens and to not leave. People please don't even attempt to stay here. DO NOT BOOK. My friends and I made a reservation here months in advance for Electric Forest. We booked 1 night and drove 20 hours from Boston. We hit some traffic on the way, so we called the motel to let them know we would be arriving late (originally planned for 1 am, looking at a 3-4 am arrival). They said it was totally fine. Called again a few hours later to just remind them, and again they were fine with it. We arrive, exhausted after our day-long drive, to find out they had GIVEN AWAY OUR ROOM. Clearly the message had not been passed on to the only guy working there so late, a janitor who spoke barely any English. He refused to help us or answer what had happened. We think someone must have showed up and he thought it was us so gave them our room...but there was no explanation, no apology, I mean he must not have even checked their IDs or anything to MATCH THE NAME on the reservation we had made. He then had the nerve to chastise us for arriving late even though we had called TWICE and were told it was fine. That's not OUR problem, thats YOURS. We had to call about 20 more places till we finally found a place to stay, at which point it was 6 am and we had to leave at 9 am in the morning. Spent $230 on a last minute room and got maybe an hour of sleep. Absolutely horrible. read more

Awful establishment. Incredibly dirty. Staff was incredibly unhelpful. Even for being a cheap place it is wayyyy overpriced.

They do not honor reservations, I even contacted the manager and he just kept repeating you have to go to another motel and wouldn't even listen to me explian I have an Expedia reservation number or take my name to check it. I had also called two days before to confirm my reservation and check dog policy. This was all unexceptable behavior for a business and they literally shewed us away from the office after our 11 hr day off driving with my 10+ year old dog. This company should be removed from Expedia because companies like this one will destroy Expedia's reputation.If Expedia doesn't remove them we will never be using their service again. read more

Please do not book here you will instantly regret it. I came up here a day after my friends did for the dunes and it is just so nasty in the motel I refused to sleep in the room. I slept in the car. The bathrooms look like they have never been cleaned. We asked for towels they were dirty I don't think they were cleaned. My friend asked for a blanket the blanket was half stained with bleach. It looked like he found it outside. But please don't book here. I'm trying to help you out. read more

Carpet smelled like piss and it was hella dirty we and to wear sandals,the tv channels were all wrong from the TV guide they give us,I heard some animal in the air ducks, one of the beds they gave us was broken and the pillows and bed sheets were all dirty, everything in the bathroom was dirty or on the floor. read more

This motel is the worst motel I have ever experienced in my life. My wife booked 4 nights there with intention to spend some time at the beach nearby with our two daughters who are 3 and 7 years old. The motel's least problems are the stained towels and lack of any service. After my wife's first night she came back to the motel to find another family in her room (she had rented room 9). Once she got to the room she found out the motel had rented her room (that she had pre-paid for through Orbitz) to that other family. The owner of the motel came with the excuse that she only left one or two items in the room when she left and the owner thought she had checked out without saying anything. So, he took her items out of the room and rented it out. Then, the owner of the motel tried to say that my wife paid only for one night - wrong as I have the receipt for four nights through Orbitz. Then, he begrudgingly refunded my wife for three nights and told her to find something else. Keep in mind this was all happening at 11 pm at night in the middle of nowhere at the shadiest motel possible and my wife was there alone with y little girls. We should have not only received a full refund for all this insanity but the owners should have compensated us for this insult. On top of that, it is none of the motel owner's business how much stuff my wife leaves in the room when she goes out and about during the day. My wife had booked the motel for four nights so that she had somewhere to sleep at night. People don't go to motels to spend their entire days in the motel rooms. Plus, she didn't want to leave anything in the room while out in town because the motel was so shady. My brain cannot comprehend the stupidity, lack of care, lack of concern and lack of any professionalism of this motel owner who not only did not apologize or try to fix things, but had the audacity to ask my wife if she was happy. This person should just sell his motel and never ever work any customer service position. I have never been more insulted in my life. I would NEVER recommend this rat hole. Words cannot express how mad I am that my wife and kids were stranded in the middle of the night with nowhere to go as all other hotels and motels in the area were fully booked. This is by far one of the worst hotels i have been at the room smelled like gas the floors in the bathroom had a bunch of black depree everywhere the beds are hard theres crumbs in the bed and its just disgusting not trying to offend anyone but the staff "cleaner's" suck it doesn't even look like they cleaned up literally all they did was make the bed. And not to mention there are spiders everywhere it may be a cheaper motel but you might be better else were spending your money because it is not worth ur time or money too stay here i am very disappointed. And there are FUCKING bugs i was sitting down and i saw a roach on the wall and then i put my hood up and a bug flew out of it omfg this motel is awful read more

Pulling up to the motel it looks decent on the outside and the floors are nice inside the rooms. However, the room said nonsmoking and the room smelled like cigarette smoke, the bathroom is tiny, the bed is extra firm and there is nothing inviting about the room. Staff seemed nice enough. Not worth $149 a night! I will not be coming back or recommending this to anyone! Also the WiFi is slow and there isn't a refrigerator and the tv is small unlike what the other review said. read more
