Great people and food. Smoked wings are great and Friday Prime Rib is perfect. Owners are always there and friendly.

I've driven past this course countless times on I-70 and even though only 2-3 holes are visible…read morefrom the interstate, I always think to myself 'that place looks pretty sweet'. I didn't even know the name of it until recently after searching Google maps. Well, I was finally able to make it out for a round, and it might just be one of the best hidden gems in the state. You can book tee times online or in person. It's family owned and the staff is super friendly. They have a driving range and practice putting green. The course itself was in immaculate shape -- very well groomed. They have four sets of tees at 5300, 6000, 6600 and 7200 yards so it can play to just about any desirable length. They only have cart paths around the tee boxes and greens, which was pretty unique and enjoyable. Perhaps the best part was the price though, because my mid-week round with a cart only cost $35 for 18 holes. Talk about a bargain! The only minor downside is that the 9th hole doesn't finish directly at the clubhouse. The clubhouse is still in view at the turn, however it was far enough that I didn't want to slow down my playing partners by driving up there for a snack before playing the back nine. So make sure you pack enough to drink and something to snack on for the entire round. If you're like me and you've thought about playing this course because you see it on I-70, this is your sign to get out there and do it -- you won't be disappointed!

Afterwards Mike stopped us and talked to us for 20 minutes. How many times have you been to a golf course where the staff takes time to talk with the golfers like that. Fairways are pure as could be, greens are unbelievable. This is truly a hidden gem just outside of Columbus. Pace of play was fast fast fast!

It was one of those iffy spring days that turned out to be OK. Some of our party decided not to…read morechance it. We expected rain at around noon that never came, but ended up warming up to the point where we were peeling off a layer for delightful low 70s sunny weather. I learned to play in college but only pick up a stick once or twice every year. Still the education I got from the head Men's coach of our local community college is paying off 30 years later. The front nine are flat and open. The back nine is the older original course which is a little more tricky having shots from low to high and vice versa amongst older growth trees. We played best ball (3 vs 4). Chirp, Dick and myself against Dan, Matt, Moose and Tom. We a shot 64 with 6 birdies and two boogies for the win. On the 15th hole I tee'd off with an 8 iron for the "shot of the day", shooting within 12 inches to the pin. The front 9 played a little lighter than the back. Save your energy for the back. The club house had some really nice merchandise but are still posting signs out front for social distancing and limiting one person at the register although they said verbally to allow 2-3 people inside at a time. Things are opening up again. Each of the carts also has a plastic partition. The one complaint is that the plastic sheet acted like sail and wasn't fastened well so the wind would it flap into you. Hope to be back again soon.

It's an overall short course but the layout is so unique and the yardage is short which makes low scores a possibility. For 40 bucks this course is worth it. There's a few dry spots on the greens and in the rough but for the most part, putts roll true. Pace of play was good too, about 4 hours on a packed tee sheet. I love playing here and I will continue to play here.
