Those two facts alone tell you everything you need to know. Contact was made in the second week of April to schedule a new patient appointment for asthma-related issues. The earliest available date was May 26, over a month away. On May 16, before a single visit had taken place, charges were applied for both April and May. The patient was seen at urgent care in the meantime and still plans to establish regular care here given the location works after a recent move to Denison, TX. After this experience, that plan is now in serious question. The appointment was cancelled to resolve the billing issue. A refund was promised by May 18. Four follow ups were made across emails and calls, each time receiving the same assurance. It is now Thursday and not a single dollar has been returned. To top it off, an email came in asking for the patient's name, information that had already been provided multiple times. Disorganized, unresponsive, and unbothered sums it up well. Charging before any care is provided, then making patients fight for their own refund after 4 follow ups, is unethical and unprofessional. Go in with your eyes open.

When I went in I had lost 50 lbs . (180-130lbs, 5'11") and it was painful even to drink water. My Dr. at S&W was an incompetent idiot and saw me as a commodity instead of a patient. Her only concern wasn't my health, but how much money she could make off of me. Dr. Mattson quickly realized I had GERD and put me on Nexium which immediately ended several years of pain. She discovered I had diabetes, high blood pressure and a few other problems, She also took me seriously and referred me to a neurologist who diagnosed me with early onset Parkinson's Disease. My previous doctor at S&W hadn't noticed any of those things, would not listen to me, didn't care and told me I just wanted drugs. I never imagined a doctor could change your life so much for the better or worse. I appreciate so much that doctor Mattson was there to help me improve my quality of life. Dr. Mattson is one of the most pleasant, down to earth doctors I've ever met. Occasionally I had to wait to see the doctor as she was running late, but that never bothered me because I knew that when it was my turn, I would have Dr. Mattson's full attention for as long as I needed it, too. This isn't a doctor that rushes in, gives you antibiotics or something and herds you back out in five minutes; this is a doctor who really cares and actually listens. I don't see dr. Mattson much anymore because she is nearly impossible to get in to see. Word has spread about how wonderful she is, and she is extremely busy. When I do get to see her, it always makes me happy just to see her friendly smile. Dr Loden is very compassionate when treating me and my family. He took his time to really get to know me as a patient. He has always treated me w respect and patience. I have to admit sometimes I can be a challenging patient to treat but Dr Loden has continued to help me work toward the health goals I have wanted. I can say I am taking less medicine than I was before for diabetes. In investing time to get to know me as a patient he knows what to do to motivate me as a patient and that has helped me out. After spending 2 days and many many calls later I came across Providence clinic and when I called was told none of the doctors were taking new patients !!! 20 minutes later as I sat on my bed feeling frustrated and crying I received a call back from a nurse named Maria who informed me that if I could have my 2 oldest there within half an hour a doctor by the name of Dr. Julian was willing to see them. I raced up there and was seen by Dr. Julian we became his patients and never looked back !! He became the go to doctor for our entire family. Even after my eldest son got married and when he and his wife had their first child he became his doctor and 3 years later he became his little brothers doctor as well. My kids are all grown now and I moved to Austin but continued to make the drive to Waco for doctor visits with him.
