It's easy to get to if you are heading South on North Beltline Road, but getting out of it, you can only keep heading South, and even then you're on the side street of the overpass and it's a pain to turn back the other way. You have to be heading South and getting off that "exit" road onto East Main Street in order to get here. It's a little inconvenient. For that reason I've never been until today. We saw the big giant inflatable gorilla out front last month announcing that this was open. The business itself got it's license on April 1, but I think this place has only been open for a month or two (It is now Oct 1, 2020). Anyhow I love wine and figured I'd check it out. Parking can be a challenge when they are getting a delivery - the lot is small and deliveries are brought to the front. Your car might get boxed in if you are not careful. It's a nice large new store. Everything is perfectly clean and beautiful. I came here looking for wine and I was disappointed. There's only 1 row of wine, and it's small. They have different varieties available, but only 5-6 different versions of each. So for a Pinot Noir, they had maybe 5 or 6 different brands. And they were all quite cheap. Which is to say not very good. I mean, if you want a $4 bottle of red, definitely go here. They have some Texas wines but in my opinion Texas wines are horrible. The store is definitely more geared towards liquor and beer. I didn't look at the beer section, but they have a good amount of large new coolers in the back of the store so I think they have a lot to choose from here. The first several rows of aisles and the entire side walls are all liquor. Excellent selection of whiskeys and bourbons from what I saw. So, although it has wine in the title, don't go here for wine. And careful where you park.

I thought that this company had a great selection. The staff were friendly and helpful.read more

The owner…read moretreats allocated bourbon like museum pieces, slapping outrageous price tags on bottles--often charging ten times the MSRP. In many cases, the prices here exceed even what's seen on the secondary market. It's blatant price gouging, and it's insulting to loyal customers who just want a fair deal. I refuse to support a business that prioritizes greed over integrity. There are plenty of other stores that respect their customers and sell at reasonable prices--this isn't one of them.

I walked straight up to what I was looking for, but to my surprise they were out of the flavor I needed. I walked around some more to see if maybe they are in another area but didn't find anything. So I walked up to the front to ask, and it turned out they do have more but they are alllll the way at the top lol! The associate told me that she would get someone with some equipment to get it down... So then I start the wait game, atleast 10min. Go by then another 5 or so go by, I see the same associate walking around, smiling with coworkers, while I stand in the same place waiting on her. Needless to say NO! she did not come back, to check to see if I had what I was looking for... I had to go and walk up to her again to ask if anyone was coming. Smh. She walked away to get some help, but not before telling me that someone did get the liquor but got the super big bottle instead.. but if that's the case.. why didn't anyone say anything and just let me stand there! So eventually they came with the machine and got the liquor down. Honestly it could have been an in and out trip, but instead I was inside probably 20min. Or more. Yes, ofc I'd go back because I always have a good / alright experience... but I'm going to stick to the other location instead.

I had heard whispers of some little Francophile wine shop in East Lake Highlands neighborhood last year. And I was excited to be heading there to choose some thing tasty to go with dinner. I try to drink only organic wine and I had old world reds on the mind. I didn't have a lot of hope that I would find these en masse but I was wrong! I was greeted promptly by a friendly gentleman who very clearly appeared to be the owner. I told him what I was looking for and he just started handing me bottles! I had to tell him to stop at five because my arms could not hold any more. :) ...and they were all organic!! His stories started coming out about small Italian family wineries and minerally French soil...and I wished I could just stay and hang out and hear about all of these treasures. It was truly a collection. And it was not overrun with cases and cases of dusty wine. It was airy and beautiful and well presented. The most impressive thing was that everything I bought was under $20. I've worked through nearly all of them to this point and I will tell you that they were all delicious. My only regret is that I no longer live in Dallas and I have to drive four hours to get back to that little wine shop and stock up soon! Just go! You will be delighted.
