I rented a plane from Monarch Air in July and it was great. The employees helped get everything set…read moreup and taken care of. All of the planes are kept in pristine condition, and the maintenance department takes great interest on anyone even just a renter to make sure that we are satisfied. I will use this from now on as my primary place of renting aircraft.
As far as the previous review goes, as someone who uses groupons from time to time, a Google Offer is the same. The company can't offer you that same price as it defeats the point of the Google Offer. So I can understand them not being able to give you that at that price. You can't go into a restaurant and say I'd like 50% off my bill because I saw a Groupon, so it's the same principle.
Discovery Flight wise, perhaps the instructor completed the preflight inspection before you arrived. I don't know, but it would be my logical guess.
For anyone else, I have had no bad experiences with Monarch.
