If you use less and someone in another unit uses a lot, you still have to share the bill. - water bill rarely got into my mailbox - gym needs updating - lots of rent money goes to making the leasing office look nice. Around Christmas time they had over 30 poinsettias in the office with the price tags on them still that valued each one at $15, so $450 for decorations for a month. I don't know why, but that bothered me a lot. - takes about 3 weeks to receive the deposit back after moving out. - 60 day required move out notice instead of the typical 30. - hard to find parking often Pros/cons: - washer and dryer hookups are in each unit - extra charge each month to rent a washer and dryer - BUT if you get lucky and move into an apartment that already has a washer and dryer in it, you don't have to pay extra. Pros: - EXTREMELY friendly employees. They really try to get to know you. - my carpet was brand new when I moved in. - allow pets - there was a discrepancy with my gas bill and they said it got taken out of my name for a month so they had to pay the bill. Contacted BHE and sent over a document that stated the bill was always in my name. They quickly and apologetically took care of the balance. - great location. Close to everything. - $8 cab ride from downtown - even though the gym needs updating, there is a gym and it is adequate. - sauna - 2 swimming pools, both allow alcoholic beverages for those of age. - lots of friendly tenants in my building - beautiful landscaping. - I was on the third floor, so I had vaulted ceilings which was awesome. - again, super friendly and helpful employees. They are that nice that I had to put it in twice. I really didn't want to move out because I loved my apartment, but it got way too expensive.

Great about maintenance requests and getting them done on time and in an efficient manner. Kind of…read morewish they would enforce the parking rules for the people who take up two spots with one car on the daily. People just can't park between the lines I guess.

This is a massive apartment complex with multiple buildings of varying styles and degrees of renovation. There is a huge beautiful pool area at the clubhouse, a gym with a reasonable amount of equipment that was usually always working, and a party room for rent. The office staff is friendly and helpful and the maintenance staff is wonderful to work with. I lived on Norfolk drive in one of the newer buildings. It was a three story locked entry building that always had a working elevator and the hallways and floors were cleaned weekly. Mail boxes and garbage were conveniently located close to my building. Plenty of uncovered parking space and both the parking lot and sidewalks were always kept in fantastic shape. In winter, they were salted and snow was shoveled. In the spring and summer the gardening was impeccable. My apartment was a spacious 2 bedroom with a bonus sunroom off the master bedroom. I live in a house now and still dream about the size of that bedroom, it was phenomenal. Huge sunken tub and separate shower in the bathroom. Nicely sized spare bedroom and bath and a beautiful up to date kitchen and living area. The apartment has its own water heater and central heating and air. It is very easy to keep your home comfortable regardless of what Nebraska weather is giving you. The walls and floors are pretty great in regards to sound proofing. I only occasionally heard muffled noise and never had any noise complaints for myself. The balconies were pretty large and mine faced a beautiful running trail and waterway. In the summer the fireflies danced off the water and in the winter a local fox frequently frolicked in the snow. It was a hard apartment to let go of. The rent was super affordable and never drastically went up or down year to year. In the end, all of my deposit minus the carpet cleaning was returned to me and my move out was as seamless as the three years I rented here. I think this is undoubtedly the best apartment I have ever lived in.

Next my gym key worked but it would not let me in the pool. Then I was told I could probably get a garage after move in, my texts have been ignored. Today I received a tow notice on my car that said I had not moved it for 24-48 hours. This was after I returned from the Mall! The office staff said I had to change my stall everyday. I was angry. They must get a lot of this...she went into a robotic recitation of not wanting any further conversation. Long stor y if you are over 50 and retired this is not a good fit.
