My apologies in advance to everyone at Lake Norman Electric for delay in posting this review and that I am just now taking the time to commend them across the board for the fantastic quality service and results we received related to numerous projects on standing up our Lake House Rental. I am sure lots of peeps pitched in the background but major shoutout to Meaghan for steering projects and appointments and Devin for design suggestions and technical follow through. Earlier this year we stood a luxury lake front home where they played a key role on several planned, unplanned and a la carte items. Some well prepared and some emergency. The services ranged from fixing electrical outlets and adding capacity to Installing an outdoor Tesla Charger, ring doorbells, hot tub hookup, sauna hookup and even some awesome party string lights (Devin suggested and designed himself). They provided timely, cost effective, trustworthy service and we will continue to use them for other projects going forward. I was so happy with the overall service I felt compelled to drop off a fruit basket gift thanking them. Again sorry for the delayed review but I hope my happiness and sincerity outshines the delay. Here is a pic of the amazing view complemented by the string lights read more

I would like to thank Devin at Lake Norman Electric for getting our Eco Flow solar batteries and smart panel set up. Being new to NC, we didn't want to be without power again and this product we purchased through Costco will do the trick. Lake Norman Electric came out, installed the product and walked us through how to use it. I highly recommended them for any service needed. read more

Lake Norman Electric - Dual Action! thank you! - Electricians Near Me - Denver, North Carolina

We are doing a major remodel and have been going through this since last August. We have had over fifteen different contractors at our home. Robert, our chief electrician has by far proved that customer service, doing a great job and being a good communicator makes a difference. Robert showed up on time every day, cleaned up every day, when he had to move stuff to do his job he moved the stuff back, no other contractor has done this! He checks in with us when he arrives to ask if we need anything as he may have to turn off water or electrical and works around our schedule. I have been in customer service for over 20 years and Robert has exceeded all my expectations! Highly recommend this business read more

I have a house I am repairing to move in. There were many electrical items I needed fixed. Hal Daniel's & Chris Kelly came in and over 8 hours took care of all items (14) I needed fixed. The bill was very reasonable. I will be reaching out for my hot tube and tankless water heater next month. read more

Had Lake Norman installed some lights in my crawl space. They were very professional and fast. I will definitely use them again.

Justin and Tyler were fantastic. We needed some work done for an inspection and they came in quickly, identified the main issues and worked quickly to fix everything. They also incidentally found another pain point of ours and went ahead and fixed that too. Would definitely recommend these two. read more

Lake Norman Electric repaired a ground fault to my lake side pump. They diagnosed the issue quickly and offered a very fair estimate. Their front office is very responsive and easy to work with. Dan the technician ran a new line partially through my crawl space reducing the required trenching and cost. The work was performed efficiently with no damage to existing electrical lines or irrigation pipes. The system was tested throughly before they left. I strongly recommend Lake Norman electric to anyone. I was completely satisfied with their work! read more

I called this firm to come fix my boat dock and they stated I had to pay for a technician to come and provide an estimate, it was not free. The technician showed up for the estimate along with the bill, what never showed up was the estimate. Not too much later the company had the audacity to throw me in collections and still to this day have not gotten a written estimate. I'd pass on these guys read more

Called to get a quote for replacing GFI outlets in a basement of a home listed for sale and was told they do not give quotes to Realtors or Sellers of homes because it is a waste of time and they never get the business. Apparently referral business is not something that they are interested in... read more

They do a great job! everyone was so nice and easy to work with! If anything needs done at Terrell Camping Center they will be the ones do it for us! Thank you for a job well done. read more

Lake Norman Electric gave the worst service of any provider I have used and I am a builder and licensed contractor. I ordered an underground service. Told them to follow my directions for trenching to avoid sprinkler pipes. As I explained to their representative they needed to meet with me to mark the locstion of the underground. That was an oral part of our contract. They refused to consult and cut through multiple pipes and electrical feeds. They also cut phone line and we have no phone service. No internet service. My professional advice as a builder is to avoid them at all costs. Update. Lake Norman Electric also cut the AT&T telephone and internet line. So no service if we had an emergency. I had to order emergency repair service from AT&T on Sunday at my expense. Azt&T had to install a new line and inside house equipment to match. There $2,500 fee, given their performance, was not justified, in my opinion. read more

I'm giving Lake Norman Electric 2 stars mainly because of their appraiser, Rob. I initially called the company to install an outlet over my fireplace so we could hang a TV there. They arrived the same week, were polite and did a great job. The two electricians that were in our home were very nice, professional, and answered all of my questions. While they were here, I mentioned that I would like to have lighting in my backyard. I'm planning a very large party in a few months and need to have some lighting set up. They informed me to get in touch with Rob, and he would come out and provide an estimate. I went back and forth with the office for two weeks waiting for Rob to get back to me. All the office could tell me was that Rob made his own schedule and they would pass on my message. Finally, he did call on a Friday, and stated he would send me a text message on Monday to let me know exactly when he could stop by. Two weeks later and I am still waiting on that text. If you need something simple done, like the outlet, their electricians were great. It was a bit expensive (Around $250 for a simple wall outlet), but it was very convenient to pay the bill online and the office staff uses text messaging which made communication very easy. If you need a quote for something, I would suggest moving on to another company. You'll never hear from Rob. read more

LKN Electric put an outlet in above my fireplace for my wall mounted tv. They did an awesome job! They were right on time, worked quickly, and installed the new outlet with minimal dry wall damage. The pricing was very reasonable and I will use them again for sure. read more

Excellent work, prompt, thoughtful and responsive. Highly recommended! Have used them many times.

Made an appointment last week for a GFCI fault that happens on my dock, whenever it is energized. Being a water location, I wanted to give these guys a chance at solving this. They came highly recommended. Upon my initial call, the staff was friendly, and assured me it would be no problem. Got a call and a message last week verifying the date and time of service as 10 am to Noon today. Well, after waiting until 11:35 am, I called to verify I was still on the schedule. The nice person who answered assured me I was, and to be patient. I was second on the list. At 4:38 p.m. the office called me to apologize that they weren't going to come today, and they had no space in the schedule for me to make up for my lost time. Time is the one thing we don't get back. Wasted an entire day to waiting to meet them, and explain the problem, as well as detail all the work I wanted done. Now, I get to find a new provider. Ordinarily I would reschedule, but that was the end of ANY willingness to extend any further consideration to these folks. The electricians may be good. I will never know. You only get to waste my time once. read more

I called because we had some weak circuit breakers that needed replaced. First, it took two weeks for an appointment. The electrician came out and determined 3 breakers needed replaced. The only problem was that he only had 1. The options were to either have them come back another time and pay the $135 service call fee again, or I could wait for the techs to go buy some breakers. They didn't tell me I would be paying for their shopping trip. They arrived at my house at 8:38 AM (they did not call ahead like I was told they would). The finally left at 11:09 AM. That's 2 hours and 31 minutes (151 minutes) . It took them 54 minutes to go buy the breakers. That means they were physically here for 97 minutes, or 1 hour and 37 minutes. If they had had the breakers on the truck, they'd of been done in that 1 hour and 37 minutes, and I'd of been billed for 45 minutes (.75 hours) over the 1 hour service call, approximately another $73.50. But, according to their company, since they were out buying my breakers, I have to pay for that time too, and they billed me an additional 1.75 hours (an hour and 45 minutes) over the initial 1 hour service call. If they can't stock all the different brands of breakers on the trucks (they did have 1), then why didn't they ask me two weeks ago when I called what brand/type I had, so they could stock them on the truck for my appointment? In my opinion, I paid for an extra hour, $98, that I shouldn't have had to. The techs were nice and knowledgeable. But, I won't do business again with a company I feel ripped me off because of their own incompetence. read more

Poor communication. Called to schedule quote/install. Was told installer would call me. Never received return call. Called again to notify them that I never received a call. Again...no return call. read more

I couldn't have had a better experience than I did with this company. They did extensive work on a new dock. They encountered almost every roadblock imaginable and powered through them without hesitation. They are very busy and I know why -- they are that good! read more

LKN Electric has done so much work this past 6 months inside our home we bought in the Mooresville area. The work included replacing light fixtures, new dock lighting, whole house power surge protector, and much more. The staff at the office is always very friendly over the phone and the electricians do good work along with being polite and accommodating. Would refer LKN Electric to anyone. read more

I thought these guys were stellar. They did extensive wiring for my boathouse project. I liked them right off, because they saw that the boathouse could be more than just a utility shed. They had a "can do" attitude about my wish list and even made some other suggestions that I didn't know were possible. They saved me a ton on trenching, which they did in house. $$$ that I could spend on more lighting. They made changes without complaint or penalty. They put in 220 for my welder and Table saw and even retired the saw for the new switch I had bought for it. I had mix matched plugs, busted switch and I came out and they had set it all up for me. I was surprised and very pleased. During the job I asked them to put in "up lighting" for the trees in the backyard, they took it in stride and were much cheaper than my neighbor's lighting. Their crew was professional, competent, and got the job done lightning fast. They got so much lighting installed so quickly with their large crew. The dock looks fantastic. It looks like Vegas out there. :-) I have them coming out to install more underwater ligh next week and I'll use them for my upcoming expansion projects as well. I couldn't be happier with them. read more

Be careful when working with this company. Make sure you get their price in writing. The pricing is outrageous! I needed a hot tub hooked up (already had a panel to add to it.) The wire went 60' to tub and pricing was $1546. Told me when I called it would be 4 to 6 hours and actually took 9. read more

I hired Lake Norman Electric to hang some new lights in our garage in our family summer home. They were on time, did an amazing job and the price was affordable for the work we had done. We will definitely have them back out before summer to work on a few other projects and refer them to my friends and family. Thank you guys! read more

I used Lake Norman Electric this past month. The service person explained the problem in easy to understand words. He did everything as promised without my calling the owner. I can't tell you how easy it was to work with Lake Norman Electric. Will use them from now on. read more

The first time the guys were polite. They came to the door to tell me they were there and they got the job done. The second time was a nightmare. I heard a awful sound and they were digging a trench right at my fireplace and hitting concrete. Instead of digging it in the yard where the original wire was they were insisting on going beside the house where I have outside lighting, hydrangeas and other things the machine would have torn up. I showed them where the trench was supposed to go. It could have been so simple. But this guy could of cared less about what I wanted. I called the polite man I had before and he said he would of laid the pipe beside the house and it could have been covered with pine needles, with no digging. I wish they would of sent him. I ended up just telling them to forget it. They sent me a large bill and did nothing. read more

Rob told us repeatedly over a 3 month period that he was coming out to make repairs on his installation and he never showed. Had to finally get someone else. Would not recommend this company! read more

We just had Lake Norman Electric install some lighting in our house in various locations and were very pleased with the services we received. The folks who answered our call for electrical services were very informative and professional. The electricians arrived on time and executed the work efficiently considering the high level of difficulty of the work being requested. In addition, when questions arose during installation, they reached out and asked questions to us before making any assumptions which was very much appreciated. In the event any future electrical work is required around the house, we'll definitely be giving them a call. read more

You'd better get a quote before the work. I was waiting on a call back for a quote when they came out and did the work unauthorized by me. Charged outrageous rates and the work was subpar, but I paid the bill in full. Also, don't expect them to make it right....Communication is terrible. Now, I need to get another electrician to finish what they started. Do yourself a favor and find someone else. read more

0 star. Actually -5 stars. This is first time I'm giving anyone negative feedback..They don't even deserve one star if I'm being honest. Wasted my money and time with them. It was the worst experience I've ever had with any contractors and $3000 worth of nothing that it didn't even pass the inspection. Now we have to hire a new electrician to finish the job to pass the inspection on our new dock. They are asking $2100 more to finish the job. Over priced and you'll be lucky to pass the inspection with this company. I'd never recommend this company to anyone. My Dock builder has done wonderful job, but recommending this company was their biggest mistake.. Very unprofessional and only thing they care about is how to get more money from their customers. Their attitude toward the customers after the job is done is like, we have enough rich customers in the Lake Norman area that we don't need you anymore. read more
