This liquor store is too small and had a poor selection. You are better off going to Wichita Falls, or even Stamford.

As a native Texan transplanted for most of my life in Oklahoma, I don't always understand the…read morehatred of all things south of the Red River. In particular, I have developed a fondness for a particular whiskey made in Fort Worth. This desire to obtain more is what led me to Local Boys. My supplies had run out so I decided a motorcycle ride to Wichita Falls was in order. Upon arrival, I was greeted and quickly guided to the TX Blended Whiskey I had intended to buy. The man running the front (the manager?) struck up a conversation with me about various whiskeys and even made a few suggestions based on what I have enjoyed in the past. I went with a special bottling of some Ranger Creek (also a Texas based distillery) that was quite delicious and interesting to drink. As always, fellow Yelpers did not lead me wrong, and I look forward to my next "Smokey and the Bandit" run south of the border.

They've gotten almost every major Prairie release for the past two years; they always seem to be getting new and exciting Texas beers (Yellow Rose being the most recent must-have); and their selection covers just about every style. Now, I doubt you'll ever see Jester King make its way up here, and their import selection is small (gotta go to Dallas for that Rodenbach fix), but this store outclasses just about every other liquor store in the Texoma region when it comes to beer, and of course, they're the only place in town that carries my favorite Texas wine: Blue Ostrich. Basically, Local Boys should be the first place you go to for beer. If they don't have it, then their competitors definitely don't, and if their competitors do, it's because all the beer nerds in the know ravaged Local Boys' selection already.
