Working out should be a combination of fun, challenge, and efficiency!…read more I love working out at Orange Theory Fitness because I can get a great workout in while pushing myself to go further. I am by NO MEANs a "fit" person. I am 200lbs 5', and working on moving from walking to jogging. However, when I go into the studio I never feel shame for the body I bring. My favorite Coaches are Heather, Samantha, and Paige. They are always kind and motivating. I appreciate that they can get a sense of who needs to be pushed or just encouraged. I always feel like I am doing a better job with their guidance. As a numbers person, I love seeing my workout live to know when I can get out of my head and go a little faster. My body can handle it! Finally, the front desk staff of Jenny and Ava are always so helpful. When I first started I had lots of issues with the technology I purchased. They made sure to help me out through their Helpdesk and get into the right equipment. They didn't want me to worry about whether things were going to work. They just wanted me to WORKout. Group fitness or OTF might seem intimidating but really it is a community of like-minded people who want to live a longer and happier life. Who doesn't want that?!?!?!

If you're looking to try something new, this may be just the place!…read more My friend and I try to get together once a month to do something adventurous. This month we ended up at Central Florida archery. We signed up for a 2 person novice lesson. When we got there, they had the equipment ready for us. Our instructor was Mike, and he was great! Mike walked us through how to decide which I is dominant, how to hold a bow, how to shoot, how to aim, and everything we need to get started. Then we got to shooting! The lesson was one hour long. Mike was so good, we both got bullseyes before time was up! We're already talking about planning another day to come out and do this again. It was such a fun experience. They offer lessons from one person up to a group of people. They also allow you to bring your own gear or rent their gear to just come and shoot without doing a lesson. One thing to note: The address will take you to a red gate, which is closed. You have to open the gate to get in (it's just latched) and close it behind yourself before driving down the sandy road to the parking lot.

We actually started her volleyball journey at OTVA when she was first learning the game. When the club moved locations, we transitioned to OVA, which is a solid club with directors we truly liked. As she continued to grow and wanted to be pushed more, she then spent two years at Gamepoint. While there were positives, we eventually realized it just wasn't the right fit for her long-term development. Coming back to OTVA has been one of the best decisions we've made. We couldn't be happier with our experience. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and truly invested in the athletes. They do an excellent job balancing strong fundamentals, competitiveness, and fun, which isn't easy to find. Everyone--from coaches to staff to families--has been welcoming and genuinely kind. OTVA also does a great job supporting players who want to play at the next level, offering guidance and help throughout the recruitment process without losing sight of the importance of loving the game. If you're looking for a club that builds solid volleyball fundamentals, OTVA is it. If you're looking for a club that's fun and positive, this is it. And if you're looking for a competitive environment that helps athletes grow and reach the next level, OTVA checks every box. We're so thankful to be back and highly recommend OTVA Volleyball. This review is based on our experience when trying out for a travel team at OTVA Longwood. If you think that your child will have a good chance of making a travel team at the OTVA Longwood tryouts, think again. Almost all of the girls who make these teams, have moved up from the year before to the same team. For example, their Select age 13 team, the next year will be the Select age 14 team. There are very few spots open for girls trying out. Your child will not be evaluated at tryouts. The coaches already know who is making these teams prior to tryouts starting. The kids who are returning from the previous year, and who will be making these teams, will be seperated from the other kids trying out. The coaches will be watching the returning kids and ignoring the other ones who are trying out. I have known a lot of talented girls who made travel teams at other clubs, but were ignored and cut from this one. Tryouts are a very good "payday" for this club and will be a very sad experience for many girls. OTVA Longwood only has 4 courts, so they are very limited to the number of teams they can have. There are other really good clubs out there, that offer travel teams, where your daughter will actually get a fair evaluation, and not ignored and cut!

Coaches will push you, Coaches will hold you accountable, Coaches will teach you, Coaches will tell you things you don't want to hear but end of the day the decision is YOURS to be coachable and want to be better, feel better and love better. So if you have a bad attitude and want to just workout by yourself then this may not be your home but I look forward to the family and community I am apart of and thankful for. If it wasn't for the community and the coaches telling me to push harder go faster then I'd still be over 400lbs. This is something you need to want not be forced onto you. I walked in with zero expectations and ended up gaining more skills, strength, and confidence in under twelve months than I ever imagined possible. That alone says everything about their programming and their incredible coaches. The coaches meet you exactly where you are but never let you stay there. They push you, teach you, and celebrate every win right alongside you. Because of them, I've stepped into the world of competitions--something I never thought I'd be doing in my late 30s. Yet here I am, stronger, more capable, and actually excited to push myself in ways I never believed I could. But the best part? The community. The friendships I've made here have genuinely become like family. These are the people who cheer you on and show up not just for you, but alongside you. It's rare to find a place that builds not just athletes, but connections and confidence too. If you're even thinking about trying something new or looking for a place that will challenge you, support you, and quite literally change your life, I can't recommend this gym enough. It's been an absolute blessing in every way.
