Guests can enjoy a seating area at the top of the hill and there is a nearby shack that provides firewood and propane for convenience.Some of the park's sites include cozy cabins, each furnished with a comfortable chair, desk, and a generous king-size bed, along with a window offering views of the RV area. The shower water in the community shower is barely lukewarm. I asked the lady at the front desk,…read moreand she said the shower was cold because of the type of push button shower knob and there was nothing they could do to fix the cold shower water. A bit later I was able to get a sneak peek at the hot water heaters and they were turned all the way down to the lowest possible temperature setting. This maybe fine during the summer but it is now headed into winter and the park refuses to provide hot shower water in the community restroom. Other than the cold shower water, the park is very clean and well maintained.

However, there's too much traffic for my liking, and the trains are a bit much as they're only a stones throw away and sound their horns every time all night long. People are constantly driving in and out of the park up to and slightly past the cut off. If you're parked near the road it gets old in a hurry. The general store in the park is fairly priced & handy. The wifi is very limited at your site but is unlimited at the store. It costs $25 extra per week to park a second vehicle here or $10 a night. A little bit much imo. There were loud gun like bangs during the first day I was here and police coming through the first night I was here. As I write this at 21:44 there have been four vehicles through here in the last 15 minutes. Three of which were diesel, and one shining their lights directly into my camp. If you're going to stay here, try and get a spot to the rear of the grounds. It cost me roughly $300 to stay here for a week.

Definitely bring a spare lure; our first attempt, we had to cut the line as it got snagged on some rocks. The beach park section of Larrabee park is gorgeous. There's ample parking, then a decent that's…read moreabout a 45 second walk to a grassy lawn and a beautiful stage built in the early 1900s. There were people performing music on the stage and park goers enjoying on the grass. Just to the left of the stage there's a path to the beach. Another 2-3 minute descent brings you to a trail going left and right. The path to the left is a short trail to a rock you can sit on and climb down to get to the water. Further that way there's another beach. The path to the right leads to a nice beach with a great view and a shade tree. There were some bugs in the washed up kelp, but nothing too bothersome imho. We had a stand up paddleboard so we used the path on the right after the stage area. I would recommend anyone bringing gear down (scuba, kayaks, paddleboards) to use this beach. Larger crafts can use the boat ramp just north of this beach, and you can drive right up to that ramp (north of the stage and parking area). It was a beautiful park and a great place to picnic, enjoy the water, and view the sunset!

There is a playground for the kids, book nook full of books to borrow, the Fireside Lounge has a pool and foosball table and there is a large pool and 8 or so person hot tub. This private, gated community is complete with pools, activity center, 11miles of paved private roads (learned to drive here) that are great for biking, and even has a security patrol 24/7 to keep things safe! Each lot is privately owned and there are strict rules on what you can put on that land. Most people have a small park model trailer with a bunk shed for extra space. Sounds a little ghetto but these trailers can cost upwards of $50k. Most are kept nicely. In the last few years the Glen has added cable so owners van now have cable TV, Internet and even a landline. It makes for the prefect place to work remotely for those lucky enough for a break from the office! I love coming here any time of year, but summer time late nights around the fire is always my favorite followed closely by the exact same after a day skiing at Baker!

After kayaking in on a Friday night there wasn't a lot of space on the hill so we had to settle for the beach which was a bit windy but still nice. Most people had traveled by boat and brought more things but we kept it pretty light. Saturday morning a large group left opening up a site with great views for us to snag and it was beautiful waking up to such a lovely sight. There are two locations with composte toilets, sites with picnic tables and fire pits. No water access so pack your own and there's lots of mice so be sure to have a way to store your food. Also please make sure and pack out whatever you pack in as there are no garbage facilities or regular maintenance and we want to keep the mousey home nice, yah know?! When not gawking at the view there's lots to do on Cypress Island. We did a 5 mile out and back up to a little pond and airfield, there's a protected bay for swimming and paddle boarding, and lots of wild life to see. We watched eagles, sea otters, dolphins, sea lions, and tons of birds..and of course the mousies, while we visited. Lovely spot!

We are a third generation Camp Firwood and The Firs Day Camp family. It's wonderful to have such a fun-filled environment in a beautiful setting on Lake Whatcom. The Christian values and Biblical stories that are shared in a modern setting of fun and love make it that much more than "just a camp."

It was still overcast, but no rain can be a plus when out hiking. The entrance to the park is well marked and there is a parking lot for those who are at the park for day use like we were. After parking our car we set out to explore the trails down to the river and back. Informational signs spot the trail and provide background and helpful tidbits if you are on the look-out for wildlife or their tracks. The mosquitos were fiercest at the parking lot and a number of them bit me through my clothing. Coming back I'd wear more layers or insect repellent if trying not to get bit. The trail we walked ran along the Skagit River for a short bit then twisted through the woods and back to the parking lot. On the way out to the Skagit River we passed a clearing. The grass was tall in the clearing center, but around the edges the grass had been cut to provide a walking path if one so yearned. We encountered mostly birds on our visit in terms of wildlife. The park itself wasn't too busy when we arrived, but we started to see more people by the time we departed. Restrooms were clean and we maintained our social distance.

This review is for Cascade Pass Trail which was a ~6.9 miles round trip that took ~4 hours to…read morecomplete. This was the shortest trail available on AllTrails within the North Cascades National Park, Washington. With that being said, the trail felt long with a ~2.5 mile steady forest incline alongside the mountain. Trail was mostly a narrow rocky dirt path. The views were stunning once the trail opens up out of the forest! Large parking area at the trailhead with additional parking on the side of dirt road. Restroom available at the parking lot. The last ~12 miles were mostly unpaved road with a few potholes near the end. The North Cascades NP Wilderness Info Center was the closest visitor center with magnets, located ~1 hour from the trailhead.
