In one case, their quote was less than half of a competitor from the Detroit area that was trying to break into our market in mid-Michigan. (What a scam - and it's proof that on big items it definitely pays to get more than one quote.) We were impressed by the way they kept the clean-up constantly going from taking off the old shingles until the job was completed. They took great care with our substantial landscaping too. The team showed up when promised and finished the re-roofing quickly within a few days. The owner was wonderful to deal with, and we were very happy with the job they did. We have serious insulation problems, or should I say LACK OF insulation! We have had pipes freeze and burst, causing water damage. I have left messages, and even sent a letter and pictures of the damage, and of where there was NO insulation when the drywall was opened up for repair, and I have NEVER gotten a response from Castlewood. We are having an energy audit with infrared done this weekend, and if it's as bad as we think, I will once again attempt to contact them. Whoever they hired to drywall, should be put out of a job. It's uneven and sloppy, and almost embarrassing in places. Splotches of drywall mud are splattered randomly throughout the home; we have had to do a LOT of sanding to remove them. The heat duct in the master bathroom is halfway covered up by the vanity, and when we removed the heating vent in the kitchen, there was no duct behind it! If and when we are to ever buy or build a home again, it will NEVER be a "Castlewood" home!!!!

The original one has lived long beyond the usual. Our neighborhood is starting to need them replaced. He knew what to do to get us the most reasonable recommendation from the county health department and now is creating it. His honesty and knowledge has already saved us money.
