I have been coming here for the past 2 months and have since asked myself what took me so long to get my butt here! They offer personal training and group classes. I started here with personal training sessions with Natalina. She is beyond awesome! She made it very easy to get back into a groove and feel good about working out. There is a great variety of classes that are scheduled throughout the day anywhere from 5:45am to 7pm so they can easily fit into your schedule. I've taken classes with both Natalina and Olga and they are all fantastic! I've taken HIIT, row/trx/core, boot camp, kickboxing and strengthening and tone. They also offer spin, barre, and a few others. Class are small in size so you get attention to your specific needs. They have several different purchase options, such as a single class, 10-class punch card or a monthly membership of unlimited classes for $130. For someone like myself trying to go 4-5 x a week, it is definitely worth it! I cannot say enough great things about Olga and Natalina and The Edge Fitness For Women. I love feeling challenged and leaving there feeling great (and sore). I'm definitely seeing some great results! I look forward to each and every class! Highly recommend!

Right from the beginning, the women at The Edge made me feel right at home. The instructors are so patient and encouraging, modifying workouts individually when necessary. And all the other women in the classes are down to earth and collaborative through the workouts. The classes are hard and I always feel a huge sense of accomplishment when I'm done. Natalina is a big supporter of local businesses and the neighborhood in general, and she combines her focus on fitness with charitable opportunities throughout the year. I love The Edge!

He goes above and beyond by helping me with a meal plan, giving me advice about shoes and workout equipment, and giving me homework for the days that I don't see him. I have never taken any of the classes here yet, but everyone who does seems to enjoy them. It is a small gym, so it feels like many people know eachother from taking classes together. The location is a bit challenging (I travel here from Providence), but it is worth the personal attention that you might not feel at some of the larger gyms. I totally recommend Jeff and the staff at Fitness Adventure to anyone looking to get motivation and personal attention toward becoming a fitness guru.

As a group class instructor, I long for workouts that push me like I push my own class participants. Fitness Adventure is it! Challenge, variety, and strong peers to emulate. I never know what to expect each circuit session. So far, I have not found myself making frequent excuses not to go to a class. While working out in a group setting is an extra push for me, the format of the class is such that I am able to focus on my personal best. The bonus? Heather, the owner and trainer! Very supportive.

When the pandemic hit I kept my membership going for at least six months to support local business…read more When I decided I wanted to end my membership I was told I could either send a written request or come down to the gym in person, so I chose to come in person. After canceling I was then charged the following month, and when I inquired into why had this happened, I was told that was their policy. Once this pandemic is over, and things are a bit more back to normal I will not be returning. I plan to signup at a gym that doesn't charge an additional month to customers who have terminated their month to month agreement in writing.

I've been a member here a while now. I like this gym because of the variety of equipment. It has…read morethings like squat racks, belt squat, and some hammer strength equipment that is hard to come by in commerical gyms. They also have a good number of cable machines. That's about where the good ends. It has taken a dive since the ownership change, but even before that it wasn't great. The place is filthy and dilapidated. The bathrooms are rarely clean or functional. One urinal is always out of commission and the other leaks. Toilets are never cleaned (there's been an orange Cheeto sitting next to the toilet for going on 12 months now). The equipment is generally okay, but some of it is in rough shape. Handles are missing or bars to the leg extension are extremely bent. A good portion of the cardio equipment is out of order. There's always a machine broken. They refused to fix a clip on the belt squat machine (and are still using a sub optimal clip today). Recently they've had several pieces of equipment out of commission for a while. On top of that, there's other safety issues that should be addressed; 1. The plate loaded preacher curl needs to be tightened. It's very loose and could cause injury 2. Most of the machines are not tacked to the floor. Meaning they'll move around on you if you start moving some heavier weights 3. Both leg extensions need to be fixed. The oldest one is so loose that it wobbles during the movement, causing horrible knee torque. The other is so bent that it also will cause knee torque. 4. Some of the cables and carabineers need to be fixed. The cables are fraying and the carabineers don't clip down, which is a huge injury risk. 5. The lack of paper towels in the bathrooms and floor means that people aren't washing their hands (have seen it every day I go, six days a week, for as long as I have gone) or wiping down equipment. This is a recipe for ring worm, and trust me, it will happen. 6. They need to update or get additional equipment. There's not enough to go around. Instead of catering to this boxing thing, investing in the fitness aspect would probably be advisable, since your main clientele and business is the fitness component. The conversion of the turf area into a boxing ring seems like a big miss. A lot of work and equipment went into a space that isn't utilized. It would have been better spent upgrading or fixing the current equipment (or making sure there paper towels to wipe machines down). Overall, this gym has become a miss for me. I only continue because of the people and lack of options, but it isn't ever a first choice for me anymore. Disappointing.

There is nothing better than having one on one or group training done with experienced professionals who take the time to get to know you personally. Working out doesn't feel boring like planet fitness or intimidating like some other roided out gyms I have tried in the past. (La fitness in Cranston I'm talking to you). It's nice to finally find a place with normal people who are just here to workout and have fun doing it. For a fun and varied workout I would be sure to checkout Method Fitness next time you are downtown.

Jack Hammond and I regularly met throughout the week for 60-minute training sessions. I can't emphasize this enough-- his enthusiasm, encouragement, and overall knowledge about training undoubtably helped me achieve my goals. Not only did he constantly challenge and push me to improve and train harder; but he did so with a positive attitude. Obviously just by looking at Jack, you'll be able to tell he knows a thing or two about fitness and lifting (the guy is ~~ripped~~), but what sets Jack apart from the other "bro-science" personal trainers, is that he is ACE-certified, has a bachelor's degree in kinesiology, and also has experience with college athletics. His overall understanding about fitness is all backed by his years of experience + knowledge about science-based explanations ... now I don't know about you, but I don't think I could have asked for a more qualified trainer. Due to personal obligations and a career change, I'm no longer able to train at Method as regularly. The good news is that I'll always be able to keep the lessons I've been taught on proper form, correct movements, acceptable adjustments, and lastly-- my higher and improved self-esteem.
