As soon as we walked into the lobby, the staff greeted us right away and were really friendly. Our room was modern, clean, and had a nice, fresh feel to it. You could tell they take good care of the place. A nice bonus was the complimentary toothbrushes they offered in case we forgot ours--really thoughtful. If you're planning a trip to the Del Rio area, I'd absolutely recommend staying here. It was a great experience all around.

You can buy stuff 24/7 and do a self-checkout to your room or to a credit card. The rooms are not only spacious and new, but also have a modern and stylish decor. I was surprised to find such a pleasant establishment here in the middle of nowhere. The quality of service and amenities here are much better than what I usually encounter in high traffic areas. There is a free breakfast that is available in the morning too. Nothing too much on this front but certainly enough to get your day started. No doubt about the five stars here. No this is not a high end hotel, so I am not comparing it to that end of the spectrum. However, for what it is on top of where it is, you are not going to find better than this!

I stopped in the other day and had a huevos rancheros plate with a side of potatoes and just have to say it so everyone hears it. Right now they have one of the best if not the best huevos ranch plate in Del Rio. The ranchera salsa is on point. And there refried beans are really good just like grandma used to make them. I know they don't get much business but they have been put out some great breakfast lately, hopefully they keep it going.

My only issue was there were multiple important things I needed to print, but the printer did not work. I asked the receptionist and even the owner if they could help and neither of them could. I asked them if I could just send it to their work email so they could print them out for me which they said no. I ended up having to go to another hotel to print my documents. They also don't take card for snack purchases, only cash. The hotel itself seems to have multiple parties outside so some nights it was rough to get to sleep because of the noise. The owners live on the property too so was thinking the parties would be kept to a minimal, especially not every night. Oh well, things happen. If you want a clean stay, this is your place.

WARNING: If you have a choice, TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE SOMEWHERE ELSE. The owner of this establishment…read morehas to be one of the most unprofessional women I have ever dealt with. A little background information on the situation. We took our dog to stay at this "resort" for four days while we were out of town. We were told it would cost $65 including an exit bath, which would be given on the last day of our dog's stay. Fast forward to the day of pickup. We call the establishment to make sure that our dog had been bathed and that she was ready for pickup. It turns out the owner decided to go ahead and give her a bath the day we dropped her off. This sort of defeats the purpose of an exit bath, since she has to stay there two more days collecting whatever filth is present in that building (and what I could see in the back was plenty.) The owner explained that they decided to bathe our dog three days early because their groomer had an appointment on the day of pickup. This is not that big of a deal, but it would have been nice to have been told ahead of time. We arrive for pickup and are given a printout of the receipt. The total read $88. My wife explained to the owner that we had been told that the total would be $65, and response the owner had was that our dog was heavier than they anticipated. This does not make much sense to us, since she has our dog's medical records which has all the information and our dog has been here before. I asked the owner how she could just change the price, since it was preestablished before we even brought our dog in. This is where the truly unprofessional part starts. As my wife began to pull out more money from her purse (at this point we just wanted to be done with this interaction) the owner picks up the receipt and says "you know what..." and tears the receipt up in front of us, storms off and continues "just take your DAMN dog." My wife and I were at a loss for words. A few moments later our dog comes running out and naturally is ecstatic to see us. The lady comes out with our dog's bed and throws it at our feet and said "take your stuff and get out", and stormed off into her office. I still could not believe the "owner" of an establishment would treat people like this. I asked her through her office door "are you the owner?" No response. "Ma'am, are you the owner?" Without looking up from her desk she replied "yes" in the most condescending tone I had ever heard. I am disgusted with the way we were treated by this place of business. Normally I just let things like this go, but as soon as we got home, we gave our girl a once over to see how the clean she was, and naturally she was dusty and dirty from the remaining three days of her stay at this kennel. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

For a budget hotel offering clean, comfortable rooms, this is a great option…read more Days Inn by Wyndham on Ave. F in Del Rio, TX has a building that is about as old as I am... While the style is vintage, the rooms have been updated and are clean. The staff was great. Check-in and check-out were quite easy. Days Inn is conveniently located with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby - several within a short walking distance. They offer a nice pool, and downstairs rooms have doors both to a hallway as well as to the pool side of the building. I was able to park directly in front of my room since it was on the end. The room had free WiFi, several outlets for charging devices, and iron and ironing board, large screen TV, and air conditioning. The AC was a little loud, but that was a plus as its hum drowned out any other noises. One lamp didn't work, but I didn't really need it. Most of the other clients seemed to be workers (probably oil / gas production), but also a few families. It was mostly very quiet. They offer a basic hot breakfast (sausage, microwaved omelets, waffles), coffee, juice, cereal, fruit, etc. The dining room is bright and cheerful. While it's not a luxury hotel, and the outside is dated and looks a bit tired, it's still a great place for tired bodies like mine to get some quality sleep. Yes, I'd return.

Place was ok even with the current construction. Nice price and clean rooms with a large pool area.read more
