I have sampled most of their menu and I can confidently and enthusiastically say "This is the best damn coffee shop I have ever been to. Cute little coffee shop on Main Street! The staff is always friendly, and the drinks are made fresh to order. While the menu isn't as extensive as say, Starbucks, the drinks that are served are done well. There's also the option to buy bags of beans that are roasted for the stores use as well. Please note: During busier hours, parking can be a bear. It's a mix between this business being on Main Street and the road being shared with train tracks. read more

I've recently moved here to La Grange. Happy I found this place. All killer, no filler. Nice, thoughtful staff (the lady today remembered what she helped me pick out yesterday). I've lived in places with 10 coffee shops within a couple miles from home, but the big chains have all turned into something weird where the coffee is no longer a priority. This place is unapologetic about being a coffee shop (get a sandwich somewhere else lol). Only 2 negatives 1) I really wish this place opened before 7. (I can't be the only person in this town who starts the day at 6). But also I know staffing is NOT easy 2) it seems the owner only responds on 3 stars or less. I'm super happy with the owner's unapologetic replies to the weird low star reviews. But it's ok to show love to the people praising this great coffee shop. Don't get me wrong. Revival is great too. The lady working there is great. But as far as "coffee shops", this place can't be beat. read more

I was in LaGrange for my birthday and being the kind of girl who travels with an espresso machine in her trunk, I am very discerning when it comes to coffee. I stopped in at this coffee shop and was torn between finding a coffee shop at all and then finding that they only had dark roasts on their menu. Two things immediately stood out to me about this shop: 1) The patrons. I met a group of folks having their morning coffee who couldn't have been friendlier and made me feel like their neighbor instantly. As I was traveling alone for my birthday, it was wonderful to feel included. 2) The owner Chris. He took the time to show me his entire roasting process from his beans to his roaster, describing every detail and educating me immensely. I have only had one other person ever take the time to do this and that was an ex-boyfriend who worked at Intelligentsia Roasters in LA. In other words, that boy had better spend the time! Chris explained that the dark roasts he offers are simply a product of what his local consumer wants. As someone who understands the American dark roast palate, this makes sense. If you're a lover of the light roast, ask for Chris and see if he has any "in the back." ;) read more

Cozy and comfy with delicious coffee. The ambiance is fabulous. Lots of people working with their computers while sipping a latte or eating one of the delicious scones. Made a quick stop at LaGrange Coffee Roasters before a training I was providing in La Grange. Immediately as I walked in I noticed the wide open space. A few parties were present, some were catching and others were working. I was greeted by a nice barista. She walked me through the menu and suggested a drink I was happy with- my typical white chocolate mocha. I was satisfied. Although, I did find the prices on the high end of the spectrum. There small was a little over 4 dollars- a bit much of you ask me. Even though I liked the mocha, I am not sure I would buy a small size for this price again- unless I am desperate. If you are looking for a pretty cute coffee shop in this area, I would recommend it. Just know you're about to drop a pretty penny. read more

Stopped in on this cold morning to grab some coffee. Upon entering the coffee shop, it was pretty packed and a lot of the people at the tables were either partaking in Bible studies or just having normal conversation. The coffee shop has a great feel to it and they had board games and other games for those to pass the time while enjoying their Cup of Joe. Service was wonderful and prompt. The staff was friendly and they prepared the drink in under 3 minutes. Definitely recommend this place for coffee or just a good place to hang out with friends! Will recommend this location to anyone who visits LaGrange (especially during the Light Up LaGrange festival in December). read more

What can I say I'm not a coffee drinker so why was I at La Grange Coffee Roasters? Because of this awesome blended iced coffee shake like thing they make. It's basically a blended Chai Tea and seasonally I ask for pumpkin spice added. However the staff has been very patient with my difficult order and now you can ask for a "Sarah Traub"...yes they went to the trouble of writing down my drink and they have it on a list behind the counter. So now I only have to say I would like an"Sarah Traub it's on he list" However I prefer it without whip cream that's up to you with or without. I LOVE this place!! The smell of coffee is incredible and they roast it in house. I always get the Iced Mocha Latte and you actuallt taste the coffee in it and aren't over powered by the sweetness that you find at other coffee shops. They offer a daily roast special and serve teas and sodas too. Lately they have dove into the soft serve ice cream and offer a special flovor of the day. The pineapple was delicious. LCR as it is often called sells pastry options also and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. My only wish is that they had a drive-thru. Give this place a try! read more

Went there the first time this morning. There was a line to the door, which is likely common for a Saturday, but the staff was diligent and the line moved quickly. I got a very good cup of Colombian medium roast coffee. My wife got an Americano that I believe was the best coffee drink I've ever had. Scones were the best I've ever had like the Americano but they were delicious. Prices were more than fair. Based of reviews and friends recommending this place I went with high expectations and there were exceeded. Will be back. read more

Nice discovery along the historic tracks of LaGrange. Stopped by while out there working on a project. Love the interior, beautiful wood floors, tin ceiling, fans, period lights, wainscotting, clean sparkly counter, clean well-presented menu board (unlike Quills in New Albany!). A bit disappointed in the test latte, tasted a bit dark roasty, milk skills were missing, sort of a second wave product. But wow, finally somebody understands not all of us want to sit on grungy couches and Salvation Army furniture in the oh too present "coffeehouse" aesthetic. Lagrange Roasters, a coffee bar, a coffee spot, a comfort zone. Would recommend some food items, minimally pastries. Thanks for a good space. Certainly "better than Starbucks" on the coffee. Just a nice quiet place to sip a cup of coffee. Situated in the heart of historic La Grange, it is locally owned with a nice small town feel and warm interior. They had an extensive drink list. I would say they could make any drink that your main stream chain coffee shop could but I had the roast of the day. It was a medium roast with nice flavor (it was quite good). My son and I shared a chocolate loaf by the window and watched the pedestrians walk by. I will definitely go in again and try something new. Maybe I will go back in on a Monday evening when, they advertised, they have bluegrass bands playing. read more

We shared a French press for two. They sat out five blends for us to choose from, and after a fresh grind and four minute steep, we were in caffeinated bliss. Perfection! Close enough to the freeway to make a stop, but situated in a beautiful downtown. It was located on a Main Street/railroad line. The only thing keeping this place from 5 stars is the fact that they don't have free wifi. WHAT COFFEE SHOP DOESN'T HAVE FREE WIFI?! This place is always busy because it's like the only place to get coffee in LaGrange besides the Starbucks in Kroger. Other than that nonsense, the place is in a great location, with friendly employees, delicious drinks, bomb ass throwback music from the 80's (at least today they do), and a great open space with a lot of natural light. Great coffee, kids at counter are always nice. Hours are terrible. I work from home and would love a place that is open later to come sit and work. WiFi is only free for an hour. Should be free period. Would like to see food options so I wouldn't have to leave and walk across street to get a sandwich. Walked in tonight at 5pm and chairs were on tables, vacuum running and mopping. They weren't closing until 6. Made me feel rushed to leave. Owner was very unfriendly when we let her know that night before people were wanting coffee at an event downtown and she was not open. Decaf drinkers - La Grange Coffee Roasters make the best decaf coffee ever. I don't know what their secret is but it's soooo good.
