have visited Lagoon a handful of times and the experience has always been just 'ok' but the location was convenient for me on route home, but the last 2 / 3 visits have been a huge let down. I've even requested a particular member of staff on the last occasion (to try an better my experience, as I knew she was one of the better ones) however, this wasn't accommodated, so again I had the same girl who I didn't feel was very competent and took a long time to paint my nails and left quite a thick amount of paint near the tips of my nails which looked unsightly.
The last girl I had gave me such a poor manicure, instead of cutting my nails to length she went back and forth with a nail file to get them a few millimetres shorter which was painful to say the least as my long nails also moved back and forth with the vigorous movement of the nail file. She also didn't seem to understand that I wished for my nails to be buffed as they still felt rough and when I ran them along my tights, I could feel them snagging against them, so I had to request them to be buffed a bit more, which still didn't really work. All my nails have been left different lengths, which is appalling to have paid that much money to receive such a poor manicure.
I was not offered a drink and had to retrieve my coat myself as the girl I had decided not to get it for me, unlike some others who had done for their client. The bottles of OPI are quite old and almost empty and I've seen them just thin them down to make them last longer, and the one colour I do like, is down to it's last dregs and was quite watery as they still haven't replaced it, so I chose not to go for it which was a shame. The venue is quite cold and I even noticed some of the staff commenting that they were cold. The atmosphere in the lagoon definitely isn't uplifting!
There are cheaper, more friendly places in Wimbledon to go, so save your money and your time and go elsewhere ladies. I really would never go back! The only thing nice to say about this place is one of the manicurists said I had chosen a nice colour! read more
