A great local place in Cedar City that was friendly and welcoming as we are traveling in UT…read more The restaurant is literally located at the livestock auction yard. The menu details the history of the place. The original owner started cooking burgers on an outdoor grill on auction day. Now run by her family, the outdoor has given way to small addition off the main auction barn. Breakfast items on the menu covered the basics nicely. The most expensive omelet was (I think) $6.99. We were here at lunch. About a dozen burgers, sandwiches and a couple of salads. Most expensive burger? $9.99. Dinner is also very basic in selection, dominated by beef (obviously.) But the most expensive steak was 12oz and only $19.99 with all of the trimmings. Other items included pork chops, chicken and other comfort food. This steak was the most expensive item on the menu. Save room for homemade pie! It would be worth it at $8 a slice, but they only charge $3.99 for a big slice or $12.99 for the whole pie! Oh...homemade soup and also potato salad...just..."word." Order both...you won't be disappointed. Breakfast is served until 11 AM (noon on weekends) and dinner starts at 5PM. Three MINOR things: 1. Restrooms are not ADA. Very, very small. 2. The Cracker basket served with soup was full of stale crackers. 3. They bring condiments to the table. The mayo bottle was very warm...nervous warm... But they cheerfully went to the refrigerator and brought an ice cold one. No biggie. Very friendly staff and a feeling that you are eating at your friends Mom's house. Can't ask for much more when you're traveling.

This new location is laid out better - everything is displayed across their large main floor. They've grouped things nicely so if you're just into beads and the jewelry making side of owning stones then that stuff's displayed together. Jewelry's not my thing so appreciated how easy it was to browse for polished stones to add to my collection - and I found some new ones to add. Casual atmosphere. The gentleman at the checkout was helpful and friendly. My friend and I each left with some treasures purchased at reasonable prices. Polished stones, raw rocks, beads, incense, books, finished jewelry or parts and beads to make your own jewelry. They seemed to have everything. Glad to have this local rock store in Cedar City to enjoy!

Like all other thrift stores it's an organized mess - I can't suggest any better way for these stores to exhibit their goods - but they had labeled shelves to guide you. Looked like a lot of kid's clothes hung in the back room where the bulk of their goods reside. I'm never looking for clothes so I can't comment much on those. I'll probably go back in a few weeks to see what's "new". Friendly staff and I saw them adding/tidying up while I shopped.
