River Cruise Restaurant offering Brunch, Lunch, Dinner or a Sunset Cocktail Cruises for a maximum of 12 passengers on the river from Orford regardless of weather & tides. We went for the Lunch cruise which is 3 and a half hours up the river Alde and Ore. Lady Florence is an ex-Admiralty motor fishing vessel, one of over 1000 built during World War II as supply boats. The food is cooked on board offering 3 courses all served to a high standard and ample portions for a family of 11. There is a licenced reasonably well stocked bar although the lager was disappointingly warm. One thing to be aware of is the toilet in the hold is accesible by extremely steep stairs (ladder). read more
