My sideburns were messed up again and for the second time when I came in and said Good morning, the people that were there, one of them works there, did no reply and just looked at me sideways. Had to go to somewhere else to fix it. Never again.

What was great:…read more Very very very nice people. Definitely gay friendly if that is important to you. Lots of male clientele... and Felix is super cute. They were extremely accommodating and were able to book me last minute. They serve coffee, tea, water, etc. They listened well and executed as best they could (more on that in the second half) They gave a great head massage with my shampoo and used really nice warm water. They give you a nice hot towel to wipe your face with afterwards. The price was awesome. 29 for a mens haircut when all the other salons around are charging 45 They gave a good cut in a short amount of time and I was in and out in about an hour. What was not so great: (let me emphasize that it is really hard to be so critical of such nice people, but hopefully they can learn from this and become the best salon in berlin) The shampoo they used had a lot of lather... which definitely stripped my already dry hair of any good oils it had. This would have been tolerable if they had used a conditioner afterwards... but that was not the case. I have very very thick hair... so if you don't have very thick hair this place is probably amazing. However if your hair is anything other than the straight and thin variety I would look to go elsewhere... Like most salons, the hairdressers are very very cautious and do not want to thin out my hair as much as they should. I left with what was a very great cut on the sides and back but what amounted to just an average cut on top. All of that said, I do think I am going back - if only just for the people. In what can be an otherwise cold city by american standards, the people are very warm and friendly. This salon doesn't have my endorsement just yet, but I believe in second chances. I will just take some thinning shears to my own head before I head back...

I was introduced to Tyler, who as well as offering me good advice, also listened patiently to my wishes. He snipped away at my hair with confidence but not rushing either, which made me feel at ease. My fiancé began using the services of Peter and Mathias, and I was quite impressed by the results…read more I heard so many good things about the atmosphere and the people that everything seemed familiar the moment I entered the shop. The interior design is minimalist and wonderfully tasteful; everything about the place made me feel very much at home. Peter, Markus and Mathias are all very polite and professional. The best part, of course, is the excellent hair cut I receive. I often walk in looking like a Yukon gold miner after a hard winter and leave an hour later looking several years younger and thoroughly acceptable for a professional meeting. You can be sure that I come here when I am preparing for an important appearance! Nobody has ever cut my hair this well, and the beard trims are very good as well (and the contouring is more-or-less optimized since I started coming). The precision and attention to detail that Mathias showed when working surpasses anything I've encountered in over 40 years in several countries. A difficult course of continuing education has made me a "stranger" for the past few months (the shop is some distance to travel, and my schedule is nuts), but I will be stopping in soon to look my best for a lecture in Budapest in early May. I hope Matthias doesn't have a heart attack when he sees me come in, but I simply couldn't stand the thought of having the locals screw up what hair I have left, so I prefer to look unkempt until I can get it done the right way in the right place. I also continue to be very, very happy with the excellent service that my fiancé receives. The results were top in the beginning, and they've only gotten better. Peter has the perfect touch with color, and the bit of make-up work he did for her one day was great! And I hate make-up! Apparently not when it's done by a real pro.
