Robin Folts & her assistant Carol are vile. They steal your money and do not care what happens to you're loved one. They place them and when they're abused, neglected and left to die, they say we've heard no complaints. They do not care about your loved one whatsoever and charge exorbitant fees. read more

John Wells priced gouged me, dragged things out, refused to bring up two bank loans I wasn't there for or even aware of, and told me at the end ESL in Brockport was his client so it was a conflict of interest. He put himself above me. He also promised defendant would be removed from the house without damage and all the valuable things inside removed. When I finally got back in the house was completely destroyed, all the contents were gone. There was obscene graffiti all over the back of the house, windows broken, trash everywhere, electric tampered with, taxes due, liens, etc. read more

Do Not use this firm. If I could give zero stars, I would. A few years ago I booked an appointment with Robin Folts for my parents to do elder care planning. I had many questions on how we handle their estate which my parents were comfortable with me attending the meeting and asking because elder care planning isn't exactly straight forward. I could not attend the appointment in person, but had arranged with Robin's assistant to be dialed into the meeting. The meeting time came, and after 5 minutes with no phone call, I called both the Canandaigua office (where the meeting was being held) and the Rochester office and sent emails to get patched in to the meeting. After 30 minutes I called my parents and found them in their car on the way home. They didn't get any elder care questions answered, they were just asked about who they wanted to leave their possessions to in order to get wills set up. They said Robin was VERY condescending and kept bragging about how much experience she had. I was not happy about the entire situation and I reached out via phone and email multiple times to get a follow up call with Robin to ask the questions I had. NEVER got a response. At that point we had decided we weren't using Lacy Katzen for any elder care planning. THEN my parents got (and paid) a bill for $900 for wills, POAs and health care proxies which they didn't even realize Robin was creating. Fast forward a few years and my father has now passed away. I have been waiting over a week for the original will so we can file for probate. My mother even drove to their office after a week to ask for it and they didn't have it in the Canandaigua office. These people are the WORST. Don't do business with them or you will just end up regretting it. read more

I normally don't leave bad reviews but the level of BS that's going on here is criminal. ZERO COMMUNICATION!! . I have been represented before and have dealt with lawyers for family members and even myself on 2 separate occasions so I have a degree of understanding not to annoy your lawyer so they will ghost you. I have not had a conversation with anyone in months but they keep sending me higher and higher bills. I call the receptionist to talk to Tammy Baker my lawyers assistant nothing ! There was a reschedule of court that I didn't know about until I called in (I live in a different state so I have to buy tickets a month in advance and get a rental with lodging) so I waste money there. Now I have court on Monday (FEBRUARY 6th 2023) I bought another plane ticket and lodging with rental, I been calling and emailing trying to see what's going on nothing I told them I was flying in this Thursday to see of we can review the case this Friday the 3rd prior to court on Monday nothing! FIRE the receptionist, just do a dial by name. There was a point where my child's mother and I were both confused and she was crying at how HER lawyer keeps charging her as well when it was months that she signed the papers (thought it was cap until my enemy showed me the emails to her lawyer proving they were in cahoots because i sent my changes around the same time she did) cause we wanted the same terms so she signed and I signed paper work and months passed and we never got anything or heard from her lawyer or mine ( that actually worked out in my favor later but timeliness is the point ) This is a risk because i have court Monday any i might walk in there with no representation and lose my kid. But if they are going to take my money and play with my livelyhood everyone should know the truth. read more
