Lace had everything I needed for Christmas gifts from my nephew to my sisters!!! Amazing boutique!

Lace had so many belts to choose from.

Lace Boutique exceeded any of my expectations. I had the most wonderful experience here with Riva and Joann, the owners. I could not be more pleased with the level and quality of service that Riva and Joann provided. They were personable and patient. It was a joy to be around individuals who greatly enjoy what they do! I would highly recommend Lace Bridal Boutique to any and every one!! Btw I never write reviews but for this store I had to! Thank you so much ladies!!!!!!

Go to amazon or alibaba and get their stuff at half the cost minus the rude attitudes. Rip offs.

Unlike what I experienced from David's bridal Madison heights. They have a lot of dresses to look at but the price range is a little too high. It was the first dress I tried on, fit me beautifully and I even shed a few tears with my parents and the wonderful staff at Macy's. During this experience, they told me to expect the gown to arrive some time in April 2012 (my wedding is September 29th). While I thought that did seem early and plenty of time, I was just going with the flow and started looking forward to Spring. It never came in April. No big deal. They told me to expect it in May. It never came in May. OK, we had time... Then I got July...which has come and gone. At the end of July/beginning of August, both my mother and I followed up with them, fearing that maybe their inconsistencies could reflect a bigger issue. They reacted in what could be best describe as condescendingly passive aggressive. I received comments like "it's ALWAYS 7-8 weeks in advance of the wedding" (umm, why didn't you tell us this months ago??) and "don't worry you'll be fine." OK, fine, but when planning a wedding is already among the most annoying things for me, this kind of condescension can really bother. But I stayed calm. It's only a dress. Some time a few weeks ago they told my mother that it will be shipped in 2 weeks. I made the mistake of calling them up today and got a more aggressive level of condescension. My own bridal consultant, who was the sweetest person in the world on that fateful date 11 months ago, was visibly aggravated with me and told me I need to follow up with management only on shipments. Oh sorry, you decide to tell me this now? I'm now 5 weeks before my wedding and while I'm not worried about the dress itself, I have little faith in their service and frankly feel run down. I've never been told so many varying stories and I can confidently say that they are my only vendor I've had issues with during this whole wedding planning nonsense. Truly uncomfortable to work with. I am thisclose to insisting on a refund in order to buy something elsewhere, off the rack. Again, it's only a dress, but service like this can really kill an experience.

What a nightmare this experience has been. They do not allow you to look at anything that is "out…read moreof your price range". Kind of insulting. A budget can change depending on circumstances, which mine did. I saw a dress that I really liked, tried it on, and my maid of honor snuck a photo bc it wasn't allowed ( which we found to be very strange )and I am so glad she did!! The photo she took looked like a TOTALLY different dress then the one I picked up 6 months later. The owner measured me and my receipt stated I was 27 1/4 inch's around the waist, which would put me in a size 6 according to the manufacture's size chart. When the dress came in, everyone in the world could tell it was WAY too small. I couldn't bend over, could hardly get the dress zipped up. If I made any wrong move my straps could break. I was so upset at how it looked I wanted to cry. It looked like a totally different dress. All the owner kept saying was that it looked beautiful on me and fit me like a glove BUT I needed to loose a little weight and get some spanks. I showed this picture of me in the dress she ordered me to literally everyone I know and everyone couldn't believe it was the same dress and could tell it was WAY too small. I had myself professionally measured at another boutique after this because it didn't make sense. I was measured 29 1/2 in the waist. Almost 3 inches bigger. (I'm 122 pounds and my weight wasn't fluctuated more then 2 pounds for over 5 years.) This means according to the size chart on the dress company website, I should have had a SIZE 8. Not 4, not 6. She refuses to give me my money back. When I confronted her with the measurement from the other bridal boutique, she stated by email that there was no way she measured me at 27 1/4 yet that is what the receipt says and that is what size dress she ordered. If she would just taken accountability for the mistake and reimburse me so I can purchase another dress, I wouldn't be nearly as upset and stressed right before my wedding. I am in the middle of hiring attorney, and I will get my money back eventually. I expected so much more from a high priced boutique in Birmingham. I am know scrambling to pick up extra shifts as a nurse at the hospital to earn money for a new dress. I never picked up the dress and never want to step foot into that boutique again. How can someone lie right to someone's face and have no guilt what so ever? Absolutely do NOT trust them. LASTLY, telling someone they need to loose weight who is only 122 lbs to start with In order to fit into a $4,000 wedding dress that they already paid for IS ALL KINDS OF WRONG. DO NOT GO HERE!!

They sit you down as ask, "What does your dream dress look like?" Guess what, they can make that happen! They are typically appointment only, but someone cancelled on that snowy Saturday I stopped in and I lucked out. The ladies that work there are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Their selection is divine...everything is beautiful. BEWARE: if your budget is 1500, you might find something on the minuscule sale rack, but that's it. Dresses start at 2K and up because they are made with excellent quality materials. Being on the bigger end of regular sizing, there was very little I could try on, but they did their best to shimmy me into smaller sizes so I could at least see if I liked it. I sort of fell in love with a dress made with Chantilly lace, but it was 1K over my budget. Perhaps it was my dream dress, but I had to walk away because of price. If you can afford it, go to Antonio's...your dreams will come true!

I have been waiting to write a review for LBR, as I was hoping the store and its owner Maria would…read moreresolve the issues that they caused for me, or at least refund me for the ridiculous amount they charged me for alterations that did not even happen. However, after an extremely stressful week, I find myself feeling taken advantage of, dismissed and deceived. WARNING TO ALL: Save yourself from the stress and overcharges this "business" creates. I bought my reception dress from LBR in 3/2021 for my wedding in 9/2021. The sales woman who initially helped me seemed friendly and great, and I felt confident buying a dress from this store. However, that was the last time anyone was friendly to me there, and the last time I felt confident with the store. My dress arrived and I was scheduled for a fitting in 8/2021. I went in for my fitting, was literally rushed to the back of their store by a seamstress telling me to "hurry" because she had another appointment at the store next door. Mind you, I was EARLY for my own scheduled appt. She rushed me into the dress, didn't even let me strap my shoes on and then pulled me onto the stand to begin alterations. I asked her continuously to make specific alterations and she waved her hand at me and said 'yes yes I know what I'm doing'. My MOH was with me, and works in fashion herself, and pointed out several mistakes the seamstress was making but was completely ignored. Not even 5 minutes later, she told me to take off the dress because she had to leave. There was no air conditioning in the store and I was already feeling shaky, and the last thing I needed was to be pushed into a tiny dressing room. I changed and came out and was told alterations would be nearly a thousand dollars. I was shocked, and questioned this but she became loud with me and stated she knew what she was doing and this is what the price would be. I didn't question this again - because, I mean, she's the professional right? So I paid and I scheduled my next fitting to be for the first week of September. A week before my fitting, I received a call from Maria. She told me that her staff quit and I would not be able to pick my dress up from the store, or even go to the store for a fitting. She said my options were to drive to the seamstress's house (which is nearly an hour and a half away from where I live... whereas the store was only ten minutes), she would credit my "gas expense" for the drive; or she would "uber" my dress to me.... I'm sorry, WHAT?! After thousands and thousands of dollars spent, I was essentially being told 'tough luck, there's nothing more we can do for you'. I eventually was able to have the seamstress take my dress to the store next door because that is where I bought my ceremony dress. I was guaranteed by Maria that the specific design/cut of my dress was "easy to alter" and there would be no issues when I received it. Well, other than the train being shortened, IT WAS HORRENDOUS. There were piles of extra fabric at the sides, which made it seem like the seamstress had just clumped a bunch of fabric together to "alter" it. I ended up having to pay this other store for their alterations team to fix this mess of a dress. So here I am, two weeks before my wedding, having spent not just thousands on a dress, but an additional thousand on alterations that didn't even happen, and apparently can not happen because the store no longer exists. Maria refused to refund me for the alterations I had paid for, and does not even seem to care about the unnecessary yet enormous amount of stress she has placed on me, and I can imagine dozen of other brides who they have closed their doors on, literally, with little to no compassion or empathy.

I arrived there a half hour before close and quickly tried on a few dresses that suited my needs and chose one. It was very clearly one that had been tried on many times, as it had put stains and the closure above the zipper was falling off, but I was understanding of that because again it was off the rack. I asked if the clasp could be fixed and if the couple of missing buttons could be replaced, and the young lady named Micah helping me reassured me that they could take care of it. I paid and left it with them. The next day they called and said it was ready and my girlfriend picked it up in the evening and I didn't even take the plastic cover off til Saturday night when I steamed it for the wedding on Sunday. On Sunday I took the dress with me at 7 am to the hotel to get ready with my baby cousin for her big day. At 4pm we all started getting in our dresses to head to the venue for the 5pm ceremony. Upon getting zipped into my dress, the zipper split open and we were unable to get it back down without force, because I was essentially trapped in the dress and then I had to be SEWN in so I didn't miss the entire wedding! This was extremely stressful and almost derailed the whole day. Today I tried to return this dress. The manager at this location, upon returning from the bank, must've asked her sales associate about why I was there and in speaking with me would barely let me get through my explanation of what happened before telling me that I had altered the dress and it could not be taken back and that I was approaching her with hostility. Then after she finally let me speak and tell her the story, she changed her tune. However, upon talking with the seamstress, she now claims that I altered the dress on the inside! When we inspected it, I could see machine stitching in an entirely wrong color of thread on the inside. I never altered this dress. How could I have? I am not a seamstress and don't own a sewing machine and certainly wouldn't have been able to have it altered by a professional in one day on a Saturday! They continued to insist that the seamstress there looked at it when she fixed the clasp and it did not have that stitching. I admitted to having to be sewn into it, with a needle and thread, thread that I then carefully removed and left no trace of. Why would I lie about having it altered? It didn't even need alterations, it fit me perfectly. This store took this dress as a return after it had been altered, or it was damaged on the floor and they fixed it to continue to be able to use it and it never should've been sold to me. You can even tell that the repairs done to it by the store are poor quality! Buttons being sewn on in the wrong place, weird color thread being used, etc. The manager there should be embarrassed about the state of that store, and I just cannot fathom why I would take hours out of my day to come and wait to speak to her just to try to lie about fixing a dress I only tried on one time before I put it on for the wedding. She was committed to finding a reason not to refund me the $200. She even claims my girlfriend signed a form taking the dress as is, but could not produce that form upon request. Just do yourself a favor and go to any lovely small business wedding shop in the area. They care about what they do, they take pride in their work and their jobs. This place has always been in a sad state and you're making a deal with the devil if you shop here.

We are 10 days from the wedding and now she's picking a new one, needing alterations ASAP. This is unreal and unacceptable. People come here because it's a household name & they didn't execute one simple task after spending way too much on a simple dress as is. Also when I myself shopped here as a bride I was so disappointed and violated. I was tugged around, squeezed into the dresses and my opinion was not valued when every time a dress made me feel uncomfortable I got a dress to even worse than before.
