Very quiet lake lots to see and once you get to a good part of the lake you have nothing but green green mountains and hills. On the side of the beach there's more privacy and less people that's where we hung out for the days we were there. The beach is rocky but not all parts it's not bad enough that you need water shoes so don't worry. For kids at 4 pm there's story time which seems to be a big hit! Friendly staff at the booth I had a young man named William who rented us a 2 person kayak which I've never been in before I loved it ! The lake is so pure so fresh and just really relaxing.

As we were starting our adventure within 5 minutes of being on the course, this particular guide began yelling at me in front of the entire group that I was not using the hooks properly and if I did it again I would be asked to leave the course, she then proceeded to yell at my son and tell him"it would have been really nice if you would have listened to what I was saying in the beginning" ( he's 5 and was having a hard time opening the hooks and attaching them to the cable) She said it again and again and blamed us for holding back the group. While we were frantically trying to get through the course because apparently we were holding the entire group back, we overheard her saying " what is wrong with these people and it's their fault that we are behind!" We never said a word because we were really trying to enjoy the course and not let this women ruin it. All of a sudden she tells us to get down because our time is up ( we were supposed to have 2 1/2 hours to finish this course and we still had an hour left) so we went up to her and said " we don't understand why we can't finish?" She proceeded to tell us that we were cutting into her break time and our time was done! She then looked at her watch and said " oh I have the time wrong" okay you can finish. We finished with lots of time left over, and never got an apology from her. She was plain and simple picking on us the entire time. It is a beautiful course and would have loved every minute of it if we were treated decently.

I used to love this place and go a lot as a teen and young adult. One year I almost drowned,…read moreslipped and was sucked under by the current. Fire and EMT had to use a hovercraft to get to me. In the end I was ok, with minor concussion and lesions but that was the scariest time in my life. I was pinned to the bottom for what seemed like forever, feeling like it was all slipping away to fast, and all i could think about was not being able to pick up my kids on time from their dads. Thank goodness they were not with me that day. No a great place for little kids AT ALL. Just be safe. Mother nature is not one to mess around with. I will give it a 5 because it is a spectacular place, and gorgeous.

During covid they are selling bracelets for accessing the park to be able to guarantee enough safe space for everyone and keep folks healthy. The long rolling falls over smooth granite are just gorgeous. Perfect for picnics, perfect for lounging with your feet in cold water, just perfect for a day trip out of the city.

The water is impossibly clear (you can see the stones at the bottom!), there are boardwalks and beaches to enjoy, as well as swimming and boating you can do in the warmer months. We only visited for a short while so just got to walk along the beach and splash a little, but I could see this being a nice place for a day trip to explore, or even stay for a whole weekend trip of activities!

The outhouses were not bad at all either, equipped with hand sanitizer. Our rustic campsites were spacious, but we chose one that was a bit too open. The neighbours didn't arrive until later so it was ok. The trails were very well maintained. Didn't feel like I was hiking an intermediate trial because there was no treacherous terrain to climb through. We had to leave early because there was a storm and it got too cold, but I'd love to come back and see the rest of the huge park!

Quiet little lake, I would say it's more of a swamp Then a…read morelake as it's very murky and green the water but none the less it was very fun kayaking on it. There's about 5 hours maybe all around it and I never saw anyone swimming even tho I was there for 3 days a tad bit strange.
