The water is impossibly clear (you can see the stones at the bottom!), there are boardwalks and beaches to enjoy, as well as swimming and boating you can do in the warmer months. We only visited for a short while so just got to walk along the beach and splash a little, but I could see this being a nice place for a day trip to explore, or even stay for a whole weekend trip of activities!

We started off at the side where all the Coca Cola chairs are and decided this was the fastest way home. It was a great hike down a lot to see the view is gorgeous of course, and there was a little stream so we could freshen up. It took about 1.5 hours down really wasn't that bad and I would do it again. The lady at the ticket booth really doubted us wasn't friendly at all but that didn't stop us from going up and hiking back down like. Champions. She said 2.5 hours but we cut that in half because we the best lol. I suggest to anyone to hike down the ski side and not follow the foot trail it'll take longer and who has time for that ?

If you are facing the Gondola Lift follow trail to the left of the gondola. Different degrees of difficulty along the way en route to the top of the mountain, and you can decide where you want to stop. The waterfalls are right at the start, but about half way up the trail - you will also have a great view of the area and great spot for a picnic. Enjoy, and remember mosquito repellent, good hiking shoes, and water.

While French is their first language, they also speak English. If you do not speak French, be courteous and let them know you speak English. Before you get on the lift, the guides group together and prep you with gear and provide a thorough explanation. We felt safe riding the zip line. The tours are small groups of 10 - 15 with 3 guides. There is communication between the guides on each zip and they check and ensure you are locked in correctly and your straps are where they should be. We rented a go pro for $10CA. Video quality was great. If you are staying in the Pedestrian Village, it is a short 5 min walk from the hotels. A couple of hotels to mention are Fairmont, Hilton Homewood Suites. In my opinion, the price is fair, in USD about $150 per person, 3 hour.

We chose the 3-hour (longer)…read moreroute which included the gondola ride to first station, 5 zip lines and 3 hikes (2 hikes between stations and 1 hike at the end to get back to the start point). We also had forgot to bring our GoPro, so we rented one for $40+taxes. The nice thing about renting the GoPro was that they donate a portion of the money to the organization of your choice (amongst 4 they have pre-picked). Our guides were very friendly and patient with everyone. In our group we had variety of ages (8+); so, they explained every step carefully and let us enjoy. The second zip line is the scariest one and the best one in my point of view. But all the zip lines were fun in different ways, some had better views, some were longer. You could sit, go upside down or hug your knees. At the end, I wished we had more zip lines left and it wouldn't have been over.

Attitude Montagne is an award winning trekking company that can take you climbing any where in the world you might long to go. The walls are covered in awe inspiring photos and ancient clilmbing picks found along icey trails in far away places. The pub is awesome, with a great big patio outside that is super dog friendly, a big fireplace inside with big Adirondack chairs and baskets full of blanks, big local beer list, affordable nice Whiskeys, and some actually super tasty food. The ribs were tasty and tender, the mac and cheese with wild mushrooms was a love, and the onion soup made with beer instead of white wine was hearty and sooooo good on a cool day. The service was comfortably bilingual and really cool and engaged and friendly. They cared a lot about the experience they were providing and it made me want to book and epic trek with them. Not sure that will happen any time soon, but I'll definitely be back to this pub any chance I can get!

It's also possible to hire an accredited guide out of the premises for local rock/ice climbing or international expeditions if you start to dream big after a glass of whisky. Highly recommended.

The luge only happens from noon-2pm, so plan accordingly. It was SO fun. You first select your helmet. Then you take the specific gondola up to the start of the track. You basically get a 2 second tutorial on how to brake, then off you go! The first minute, there are some stops and turns before they let you start on the real track. It's really cool because you're pretty high up so you get a view to your left. Then you wind through some forests on the side. I think I was surprised by how fast you can go, but also how well the plastic vehicles handle. Just be careful. I got a douchebag who veered past me just as we were about to enter a slow zone with road blocks. He almost collided with me. I stopped to let him through. In any case, the course takes about 5 minutes, but it's actually surprisingly satisfying because of the many turns. You pay $12 I think for the first run, but you can do it many times for a discounted price. Honestly, it's kind of scary, and I'm not sure I would let a 10 year old on this thing.

So we decided we were gonna do the…read moreboat trip and you can either pick a canoe or kayak double or single we did the canoe and packed up for a day on the water with snacks and drinks and of course our towel because there was so many places to stop off and have lunch and swim. The water was low so the river was a little more intense in the sense that you could get stuck in between the rapids. We had so many spots to Jump out and enjoy and got a great tan. 5-7 hours and 23 Kms down a beautiful river or you can do the 3 hour class for 12 km. You go at your own pace as long as you make the bus bringing you back than you're fine just keep your eye on the time. Last bus is at 4 pm not that it's very long bus ride back (15 minutes) but walking it wouldn't be fun. Helpful tip canoe is for 2 you can put 3 but it's designed for two people. Kayak is easier and you can paddle board but you need good balance.
