Alex came out to bid on the smaller one, and I was so impressed by his approach, that I had him look at the bigger one. We ended up hiring him for both, and I'm so happy we did. Alex and his team were professional, courteous, and incredibly talented. He kept me informed of the progress, and when he came across irregularities in the existing structure he took videos and pictures and called me to explain what he found and alternatives to proceed. He took great pride in his work, going above and beyond, and ultimately delivering results that were far better than I thought possible. And yet, his prices were fair and reasonable. Amazing. I highly recommend Atrisco Construction.

I really appreciated that Alex and his team were focused on our kitchen from the start and we were able to finish on time and within budget. Alex was also great with helping to solve for unforeseen issues with our cabinet dimensions and coming up with solutions on the fly. We interviewed other contractors that would have nickel and dimed us for every change, but with Alex we felt like he was really focused on making sure we got the kitchen we wanted and if it was within the time allocated, he was able to accommodate our asks. We would definitely work with him again for our next project.

In that time, I've worked with dozens of building contractors throughout the bay area, and have gained a lot of insight to the type of builders who know how to manage and execute a high end project. Several years ago, I was asked to bid on a project for McNeil Construction in Sonoma County. The project demanded excellent execution towards a full home remodel, and the client was very particular about the details. Brad McNeil oversaw and facilitated all phases of construction and remodeling to meet the satisfaction of this very critical client. Brad McNeil is a rare man who understands the value of each step towards a goal. The design, project coordination and execution required a great deal of research, follow-through and consistent quality in materials, management, and construction. If corners are cut, the end result suffers more with each following step. However, people like Brad consider details to be as crucial to the project as its outcome. Through his dedication to the job, down to the exact detail, Brad consistently demonstrates that the drive behind his company, work ethics, and his extensive experience is to ensure that the client will be ecstatic with the results. I would absolutely recommend McNeil Construction to anyone who needs the talents of an honest, knowledgeable and dedicated building contractor. Brad's hands-on approach to managing a project is the prime example of his expansive skills. His experience and communication in the field of construction allow him to personally ensure his clients get lasting quality, from consultation to estimating to final construction, and everything in between. The clarity, transparency, along with the progress and final outcome, also let his experience shine. I currently work with several building contractors, but Brad deserves my highest recommendation as a true professional in his field, driven by his personal satisfaction of a job well done and the satisfaction of seeing the client's expectations come to life.

Every person who walked into my home, has worked with Travis for the last 10 to 20 years. That made me very trusting of who was in my home when I was there and when I wasn't there. We can't believe this is our house! We've had a couple of friends hire him now to do their projects! Travis walked into our patched-together 50 year old house and understood our vision for opening up the floor plan and letting more light in. He worked within our budget to draw up a quote that met our vision, while also recommending items that could easily be isolated and saved for a later project date without having to re-do any of this initial work (like refacing the fireplace, re-doing the back patio). He was patient and helpful through the architect and permitting phase and had great recommendations for local cabinet, tile and plumbing stores that allowed us to get great quality finishes within our budget. Every sub-contractor that he brought in for specialized pieces like our master shower tile, shower glass, flooring and insulation were friendly and did absolutely top of the line work. He is also very clever at figuring out solutions to curveballs that our house threw and could take our crazy Pinterest pictures and piece them together to build custom solutions like the bench in the master shower. Overall our project included a major overhaul and upgrade to our electrical panel / electrical service to the street, major plumbing upgrades, new windows, a master bathroom addition and a complete interior paint/flooring refresh and remodel including a complete kitchen remodel (with removing load bearing walls to create an open concept) and hall bath remodel. Our house of 16 years is now a sturdy, safe home we can spend the next 50 years in - Travis didn't cut any corners and understood that this needs to be our dream home that will last "generations" as he put it. He's an honest guy with old fashioned values and you just won't find a better team to take on your project.

Brian presented himself, when asked by my Agent, as someone experienced in plumbing work. He replaced the plumbing connections on top of the water heater; however, the unit continued to leak afterward. He was on-site for over eight hours that day. More than four of those hours were spent at Home Depot, and the remaining time was used working on the water heater plumbing. I later hired a licensed plumber from a professional plumbing company, who advised that the job should have taken approximately two hours, that incorrect parts had been used, and that the work had been performed improperly and unprofessionally. During one of his Home Depot trips, he was sent to purchase gutters for the house but instead returned with a large box of miscellaneous items (at least 20 insignificant items) that had not been approved or discussed. These items totaled over $400!!! There is no justification for treating someone else's money that way, with no regard for their approval or expectations. To make it better, he stated that he had used a friend's military discount card as if that was a good thing. The gutters were never purchased and when I returned the items to Home Depot, I only received a reduced refund, resulting in an additional financial loss. I asked him if the discount was charged back to his card and he said "no"??? I also observed him spend approximately four hours making a minor repair and painting the front door, which further raised concerns about the efficiency and quality of the work being performed. Overall, a significant amount of time was wasted, the quality of work was below standard, and I incurred unnecessary big expense as a result. The experience was extremely disappointing and resulted in both financial loss and delays in preparing the home for sale. He also left several tools at my home and said he would return after Memorial Day to collect them? Seriously? As a single woman in my 60s, I found this situation inappropriate and unsettling for numerous reasons.

He had been out about 10 months earlier to take a look at it and to give me his professional opinion. It was honest and invaluable. In fact, he suggested I ask the original contractor to fix the problem. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to do it due to time and money constraints. So, I asked Daniel to return to give me an estimate and walk me through exactly what it was he was going to do and what materials he was going to use and why. This really mattered to me because the issue was about waterproofing and drainage, neither of which was working. He answered all of my many questions and explained to me his reasoning and the thinking behind what needed to be done. He and his coworker arrived on time every morning, worked diligently through the day, and left the bathroom spotless every evening. They did the entire job in five days--removed the existing shower floor tile, the bottom tow of wall tile, and the curb, redid the slope/pan, installed a new waterproof barrier, new drain system and drain and new tile and grout. They did all of this for a fair price. Now my shower floor looks beautiful and the drainage works perfectly. I could not be happier and I highly recommend Alcazar Tile.

Chris, you did come out and you told me the window wasn't leaking. I tried to talk to your guy that was doing the roof over the bay window and he argued with me to. The window wasn't used.
