I immediately retained and paid $4500 up front on June 5th. Only the divorce was filed. I have been ignored for almost 4 weeks now. Emails, texts, calls and going in person to their office does not get me a response or answers. I still have NO answer as to why child support and custody orders have not been filed. We have no court date established to discuss these terms. Jill, the paralegal has never answered why temporary orders were never filed. I have written documentation asking her this over SIX times with no answer. She has not responded to me since July 17th. I went to their office to get answers on August 4th and neither attorney was willing to meet with me. I cannot understand why after retaining this firm over 10 weeks ago, they have failed to do what I paid them for. I feel lied to. If they were too busy to handle my case, they shouldn't have taken my $4500. I have since fired them and sent a demand email a week ago requesting my client file, any documentation, accounting and unearned portion of my legal fees paid. I am fairly certain this will be going to arbitration and complaints filed with the state bar association. After having a few consultations with other firms, I have been told that this is not unique to them-- this is a common complaint they are known for. Proceed with caution with this law firm. The front desk girls are nice, but are only able to provide apologies and zero clarity.

After keeping my case for over two years, putting me through countless phone calls, paperwork, and delays, I was suddenly told that an attorney had reviewed the case and they would no longer represent me because liability was being denied. If that was their position, they should have made that decision when they first accepted my case--not after wasting two years of my time. Communication was one of the biggest problems. My settlement negotiator, Andrew Pacheco, often took months to respond, and getting an update on my case was extremely difficult. I rarely received proactive communication and constantly had to follow up myself. The office also seemed very disorganized. Nearly every time I called, I was told someone different was handling my case. It felt like there was no consistency, no accountability, and no one who actually knew the status of my file.
