I showed them the voicemail I had from them and they said they don't do phone calls ."Oh it's from 2020 and Covid , that expired". Well when you buy good quality shoes you don't need to spend hundreds on shoes each year because they hold up and last! Sure I got the $10 Spring Sale discount. But needless to say I can get any of their shoes online at the same price or cheaper ,plus get miles using my travel credit card. Sorry but you should take care of ALL your customers, not just the really regular ones.

The con panna and double shot were better than average, particularly given the X factor of a smallish town coffee shop, but were still a bit on the bitter side. Same for the americano. The cider was good but a little sweet-ask for less caramel. The guy (the owner I think) was very friendly. He gave us a 10% discount on our drinks because he talked one of us into buying a drink when she wasn't planning on getting one.

To say the least, I am shocked that no one has reviewed Gino's before. However, this does mean I get to go first. When I was a kid, well over 30 years ago, my mom and dad used to take me to Gino's to get shoes. Back then, they were just one of a number of shoe stores in the Back Mountain. Today they are the last, staying around with good quality and great customer service. First, a warning. Gino's specializes in kids' shoes and athletic shoes. They do have some men's and women's shoes, but not the selection you would find at a department store. But in the types of shoes they specialize, I have not seen better quality, and the selection rivals many children's shoe stores. On our last trip there, I was impressed by the sheer variety of toddler and kid's Crocs they sold. What is even more impressive about Gino's though, it the customer service. Even though the store was busy when we arrived, we were helped relatively quickly. My wife and I really wanted to get Crocs for our little boy, but the pair we wanted was too big in his size and too small in the next one down. The salesman actually took the time to show us why that particular style was cut different and pointed out the others that were not a standard cut either. He must have known how everyone of them was cut, because he suggest one color, that fit perfectly. How many stores still have sales staff that know the product that well? Finally, Gino's remembers its customers. As we were checking out, I said hello to the owner. After not seeing me around the community for over 20 years, he still remember who I was, and we had a really nice conversation. Does it get any better?

I decided to stop by Gino's as we had purchased them there recently. The doors were locked as the sign indicated they closed at 5pm instead of 6pm. To my amazement an employee opened the door. I explained the problem and she relayed it to Dave who was in the back area, still working. Unbelieveably Dave said he would fix the shoe and he did so as I waited. He assured me the fix should be ok, but if not to return. There are few individuals or companies these days that did what Dave or his employee would do. Just an exceptional hometown shoe store with old school values. I have taken my Grandson there for years and highly recommend them for fitting childrens shoes properly for their growing feet and all the running and playing they so enjoy doing!
