My issue is the administrative part of the appointment checking in and making sure the labs are in the system. It seems disjointed and for an organization the size of Advent Health, the patient experience should be much better than it is today.

I highly recommend anybody that you download the quest app and agreed to text messaging. By doing so I am able to check in directly from my phone on the app and then about five minutes before I'm usually called back. I'll get a notice in text message telling me it's time to enter into the waiting area. This is especially great if it's a very busy morning or afternoon and there are no seats available. The phlebotomist who saw me is truly one of my favorites. I have very hard veins to find, and he always manages to find one and he makes the whole experience very calm.

It is convenient since you just make an appointment and go in. They won't see you without an appointment, but during the week it's pretty easy to schedule one. She tried hard, but her accent was so and mispronouncing of names caused additional confusion and frustration. I would suggest they hire someone just for the desk that can speak English and pronounce names properly, so that people didn't sit there wondering who was being called and what the person was saying.

Everyone seems to enjoy caring for all of the people that come in. My family and I have been coming here since 2021 when we met Diane who was amazing in drawing blood from my special needs daughter that has uncontrollable movements due to her cerebral palsy. They have a little complimentary coffee bar and water area. However, by the time you may notice it, you will likely be called back. They are super fast and efficient. Including getting the results to the doctor on the same day. I do wish the website worked better for pulling up a copy. I can't ever seem to log in. They will also print a copy for you there. The restroom in the lobby area is huge. It is only 1 bathroom but its never so busy that its a problem. They take walkins and have special pricing for self pay patients on Wednesdays. I will not waste my time with LabCorp or Quest anymore with the level of prompt and courteous service that I get here at Vista.

I have to schedule out months in advance. The location I go to stopped doing walk in's. I went this morning for an appointment for my daughter. Her appointment was at 8:45 AM. When I got there there were quite a few people waiting. A guy that was waiting told me they had to knock on the door to get the phlebotomist to come out. I asked when his appointment was. He said he was a walk in. I said they don't take walk in's at this location anymore. I was turned away over 6 months ago being told I need an appointment as they are not taking walk in's anymore. I asked another woman when her appointment was. She said 8:30 AM. It was now 9 AM. The person that was in the room came out. The man, who had no appointment walked in to the room. This upset the lady who had an appointment so she knocked on the door. The phlebotomist said he was here first. The lady said but I have an appointment. He does not. The phlebotomist didn't care. The woman sat back down but the guy came out and said she could go ahead. When she finishes the guy with no appointment goes in again. I got up and was able to catch the door before it closed. I asked why he is going when he has no appointment and I was told they don't take walk ins. She tone me to get out and she wouldn't be servicing me today. Plenty of parking out front with accessible spaces near the entrance and an accessible entrance. Regardless of who you were seeing you stop at the main desk downstairs to check in. There is almost always multiple people here and they're very fast and efficient. My doctor is on the second floor and you have a choice between the elevator or the staircase. These days I opt for the staircase because my doctors want me exercising as much as possible. It's never a long wait for me as they always bring me in right around my actual appointment time. Everyone is professional and courteous, and the doctor and their staff all listen to what I have to say. My appointments are fairly short as my care is very well managed these days. Even though this doctor is now almost an hour drive for me. I still find it worthwhile to make the trip for the quality of Care.
