I have always had a good experience here, they are quick and helpful. Today they were rude and curt in all their replies. I was there to drop off some lab work (this makes their job easier and I am a medical professional with appropriate credentials) and no one would take it. After a bit of a wait the woman in the back did finally take my specimen but she was very rude and abrupt. She kept telling me she was behind and I offered to return later. I do not like waiting in this waiting room because it always smells like a dirty ashtray (not a good appearance for a health care facility) and while I understand it is likely the clients but perhaps something should be done. I understand and empathize with the staff about their work situation, there is no one at the front desk and the technicians in the back are not responsible for checking in patients. The waiting room had about 8 people and everyone was angry and not happy that the waiting room was long but more because there was no staff to talk to them. Perhaps someone called in sick or they are understaffed but maybe they need more help. I will give then another chance and hope this was a one time incident, but it is not appropriate for staff to be rude to patients, without patients they will not have a job. I have worked in busy Emergency depts and intensive care units with busy critical patients and would NEVER talk to patients the way I was spoken to today. read more
