I had some labs sent via online to Labcorp portal. I didnt make an appointment and went to this location on a Saturday. They do take appointments and walk ins. Once in, you check in via kiosk and wait for them to call your name. The wait wasnt bad as it was busy. The staff was very professional. When it was my time to get the blood drawn; I had the most gentle and efficient tech. I never felt the stick and she was quick. With a busy Saturday and not heavily staffed the crew made it professionally worth the 20-30 minute wait okay. read more

My 92 year old client and I arrived ahead of our scheduled appointment time to have her blood drawn for testing. The women at the registry desk claimed that they never received her paperwork from the Doctor authorizing the Lab work. After several hours of calling her Dr's office, waiting for the paperwork to be faxed, a second time, one of the women decided to look in a DRAWER where they found her paperwork which was faxed on the previous day. To add INSULT to INJURY, one of the women had the audacity to complain to the customer sitting next to us that quote" people are so rude." Oh my god. The male employee had me waiting 2 hours and he kept telling me there was one person ahead of me. He called like 6 or 7 people before me so I stood up and told him that was more than 1 person you just called. 25 Crossroads Location, Owings Mills, Maryland 21117 LOVED everything about this place!! Went with a loved one to have their blood drawn. This person is Extremely nervous with this procedure. We texted from the car when we arrived due to Covid and were promptly notified when to come into office. ( we had scheduled an appointment ) Upon entering, It was Very clean and neat. We were greeted by "Siara P" at the front desk who was VERY kind and friendly. We then went back to have blood drawn with "Karen" who had been notified about the 'nerves & fear' of this person. KAREN WAS MARVELOUS!!!! KAREN WAS AMAZING!!!!! Karen's words of comfort and her kindness and the tone of her voice set the stage for the blood test to begin. Soooo...Needless to say, for a person who is usually one step from passing out, to not feeling the needle AT ALL, to getting up and walking out without sitting in the waiting room to calm down...well, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, KAREN!! I can't tell you my utter amazement of this entire process!! I was shocked at how unbelievably well this went!! Karen knew EXACTLY what to say and not to say, At All Times!! When my loved one asked her (when it was over) how many tubes of blood she took, she looked at them and said soooo perfectly with just the correct amount of seriousness and laughter in her voice, " now you know I'm not going to tell you that!!!" LOL Karen was MORE than Terrific from beginning to end! (You are my hero!!) Many, many, many thanks to Karen!! Upon leaving, Siara P wished us a pleasant day in a cheerful voice! (can't see a smile behind the mask!) Also wanted to add that EVERYONE we saw from front desk to blood-drawing area was social distancing and fully gowned and masked. I know most people would say that having blood drawn with someone who is shaking like a leaf from nerves wouldn't be a pleasure, but, this visit was just that! It's shown no where on their website nor the ability to make an appointment as it states when you Google them. The person at the desk was polite nevertheless. I was horrifically unimpressed--the staff ignored my appointment, and addressed me by my appointment time (which they failed to keep) rather than my name. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting--grey sludge on the floor, a used sanitary pad on top of the toilet paper dispenser, and no soap or paper towels--and the woman drawing my blood accidentally pulled the needle out of my arm, getting blood on the floor, the chair, and her gloves, none of which were cleaned with anything more than a dry paper towel. Went outside as there was more than the allowed 5 people in waiting room. Went back in at 1120a. Others going before me. Asked at desk. "We been calling you. We sent text. This place was terrible. My wife and I made an appointment yesterday for a Drug Screening at 9:15am today. When we arrived, the place was already packed to the gills with patients and we were told that Drug Screening doesn't begin until 1:00pm and we could either wait or go to another location. How did this happen? We made an appointment specifically for that procedure. Why in the world would they make an appointment when they don't perform the procedure at the time the appointment is set for? In addition, the receptionist was rude, uncooperative, and made us feel like we intruded on her. I'm sorry, but being a receptionist is your job and that means you deal with new arrivals to your office and help them with your own office's screw-ups. I love, love this Labcorp!! I have had horrible experiences at the Green Tree Rd location. I drive past that location to go to 25 Crossroads. All of the ladies are extremely nice and professional during each visit I've made...As for the other reviews...appointment or otherwise...let's be reasonable, no matter where you go for service today, you should expect a wait. Especially if you decide to come first thing in the morning, at lunchtime or at the end of the day. You are truly setting yourself up to be irritated if you don't build in a wait expectation during such times. Further, how about call and ask when the traffic at this location is lightest. Went their today, they had no record of cash payment made last year for a balance due AND the lady hands me a cup for urinalysis with un-gloved FINGER inside the cup. read more

My experience with this LabCorp location is usually just fine. My most recent visit was not. The lady at the desk was nice but they had a male technician named Earl who was just rude and unprofessional in his behavior. His tone towards me was aggressive initially and then dismissive, even at my questions and concerns before he drew blood. I had to swallow my pride and hold in my anger towards him because he was about to stick me to draw blood and based on his behavior he may have done something else unprofessional. If you go to this LabCorp avoid Earl as your technician unless you catch him on a good day. Shame on Earl. read more

The staff member behind the desk has called two people in the interim, mumbling and not projecting over the loud television, then throwing an attitude when the person didn't respond. Of course! I took my 4 year old daughter there to get a blood test ordered by her doctor. We got there when they opened and still had to wait almost 2 hours before they attempted to draw her. She was screaming and moving around, as 4 year olds are wont to do when someone is going to stick them with a needle, and they told me they couldn't draw her, to go back into the waiting room and wait for her to calm down. This was a fasting draw, so she hadn't had breakfast and we had already been waiting for 2 hours. My 9 year old is a transplant patient and she fights during draws, but I have NEVER experienced the phlebotomist telling me they cant stick without even trying. DON'T take your kids there. If you can't draw children you should list that on your website. Not let them sit for 2 hours first and then traumatize them for a fasting draw that you are clearly not qualified to do. read more

After having a horrible experience at the Eldersburg location (think rude staff, 2 botched attempts to draw blood from my screaming 1 year old, and finally being sent away to "reschedule"), I was very hesitant to trust another Labcorp location. However, I'm so glad I drove the extra mile or two to go to the Crossroads location in Owings Mills. The staff was great. Everyone was friendly and our wait was minimal. Tamika was fantastic with my little boy. Even though he has been cursed with my tiny veins, she was able to get everything needed on the first attempt with minimal tears. Anyone with a 1 year old will realize that's almost like magic. I will definitely be using them for visits in the future. read more

I've had blood drawn numerous times at labcorp and my continued experience is one of dissatisfaction. I've been to at least 4 different locations and the behaviors of the staff is always very similar. These behaviors are NOT GOOD. Staff are very unprofessional on such a consistent basis, it's almost a little odd. I wonder about the oversight from Labcorp...? There is always loud yelling/bantering between staff, way-too casual remarks made - once a woman intaking patients loudly said "my son told me to suck his dick yesterday" to a colleague....wow. as everyone is saying is right. The people in front desk are rude, they are very slow. When i went there it was 5 people in front of me to get me for registration desk it took me 40 min and to go inside and do the actual blood draw it took me another 30 min. After all this now its time to do the surgery and the doctors office called them about my blood work, and i am not in their system!!!!!!!!!!! can you believe them how irresponsible and unorganized they are???!!!! read more
