This is the second time that I have gone there early in the morning after fasting, etc.... This time the experience was worst than the first time. I had an appointment for 8:45 am, arrived at 8:30, went to the computer to check in and was told that I would be put on the waiting list. When I asked the person at the counter what that was about, she informed me that I didn't have an appointment scheduled and then she walked away. the other person asked me my name and told me that I didn't have any appointment scheduled and that the wait was about 2 hours, or that I can come back and wait in line at 6am (when they open at 7am, and its cold at that time), and come in as a walk in the next day. they are understaffed and ALWAYS so rude to the patients, I switched to Sonora Qwest through my Primary physician immediately. read more

This might be the worst business I have ever been to. There is nobody at the front desk to help you. Even if you have an appointment you won't get in on time. You should take a tent with you if you don't have an appointment, it's going to be a LONG wait. The office in Sedona was incredible before they shut it down. Unless you have to use Labcorp go to Sonora Quest in the same complex. It's like going to a resort compared to this place. read more

The Lab returned my call regarding milk allergy testing. I was so happy as my provider had trouble finding the test number. I always have blood tests done at LabCorp in Cottonwood and find them to be professional and helpful. I make appointments online and am in and out in no time! Thanks LabCorp. read more

The most inefficient business i have had the problem of waiting for. It is a statement of the medical system here Three workers, and 3 people ahead of me and a half hour wait just to be acknowledged as waiting.and not even checked in. See update below. If I could give zero stars I would. They have a hokey fax system. They apparently do not receive all of the Drs faxes with the lab orders but they blame the doctors for not sending them. 10 years of this I have experienced. You need to bring the orders in with you to guarantee you can get in. Today I had an appointment and I was on time. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring bring in my paperwork but knew my doc had sent it. They did not have it. She blamed the doctor. I had my husband fax it to them. The confirmation message indicated somebody in the office answered the phone and the fax did not go through. He got the same message twice and now he is driving the orders over to me. (probably the same thing that happened to the doctor, but he assumed it went through ) Lady at the front desk. Did not want to hear they could be the problem. Of course it's not their fault. Not interested in fixing their problems. just want to dump it on you. Cottonwood Medical stinks. A symptom of poor administration. If you have a good experience here good for you. The entire medical administration in this town is third world UPDATE: I just discovered the business card she handed me had the wrong fax number. It's a discontinued number. (The message we received was generic (misleading) for a discontinued number)At the time I suggested to them to check for a problem but of course I was wrong. They are perfect. I felt compelled to write this review because of the overall poor ones I read prior to my visit. I made an appointment for 8:45 AM and got there to check in at 8:20. All three employees a spoke with were pleasant, efficient, and helpful. There were two other people waiting in the office but I was called back very shortly after them. I was out of there at 8:40, five minutes before my original scheduled appointment. Five stars for Cottonwood LabCorp. read more

I arrived at 7:00am. It's now 8:45am. I asked when I would be seen as it's empty in here. I was given the answer, as she snapped at me- " I don't know!" Then told me appointments are in 15 minute increments. 4 others just walked in- She checked them all in. So I asked again- She basically ignored me. Fortunately for me LabCorp lost every single persons order- all 4 people. So I'll go back now. I will be going to Sonora Quest from now on. Another receptionist came out and promptly helped me, and the other unhappy disgruntled employee couldn't do her job. Way to go rude ladies. Lost my business. read more

I want to be as fair as possible here since I understand they've seen a sudden increase in patients along with adhering to the new COVID restrictions. Everyone had a mask on. yay! These poor nurses here, who in addition to putting their lives in danger, are balancing too many responsibilities and are overwhelmed. I waited 1/2 hour in my car to be called in for my routine lab appointment after checking in remotely. The nurse at the checkout counter (who also performed my blood draw) asked me to wait in the waiting room which was posted as only 7 people occupancy. I was the 7th person sent to the room to wait, but it was almost impossible to monitor this with the steady stream of patients entering constantly. Several people had taken it upon themselves to wait outside the entrance door as well. After a short 5 or 10 minute wait, my name was called, and after another 5-minute wait in the hallway, everything went smoothly. My orders were lost, but knowing this would almost certainly be the case judging from past experience, I brought a copy with me. My appointment took about 1hr. Too long for a simple lab draw, but being understaffed was the obvious reason. read more

This Labcorp has taken on the entire Sedona Labcorp customer base as well. The two ladies working the front desk not only answer phones and take your blood, but also actually do the centrifuge spinning of the blood work as well. Although they close at 3, they stay late to make sure everyones results come out in a timely manner. They are kind and patient, with everyone screaming for service, and only two working. This is the most inefficient lab I've ever been to. There were only 4 people in front of me but I was sitting there for 1.5 hours. There were 2 women working taking blood but too busy talking about things not job related. I' was told to go to Sonora Lavs since they hire great people. I've been trying to get a routine blood test for several months now. I sat in their waiting room 3 times so far for these tests. My insurance covers these tests. On my first attempt they closed the lab and sent me home but only after I waited for more than an hour. It was 3 pm. On my second attempt I satin the waiting room for over an hour before they told me I would have to pay up front. (They also told me to go online and research the codes myself, which makes zero sense since I am not allowed to write my own lab order.) On my third attempt, (several months and several lab orders from my PCP later), I was finally able to get a technician to draw blood. Now it's been several weeks and the results have not been posted. My doctor did not receive the results either. I tried calling Labcorp many times, but they don't take patient calls. (Or my contracted insurance, apparently, although I was told that they DO accept my insurance when they finally took my blood.) They're the only lab that accepts my insurance. They used to be decent but lately they are abysmal. read more

Went in to LabCorp last week to find out about going to have my blood drawn. Greeted by two hostile people who informed me I had to get an online appointment, and informed me appointments were back up. Said I might have better luck just coming in and waiting. So, this morning went arrived at 7:15. There was a line of four gentlemen in front of me. It was very cold, limited number on people allowed inside. Waited outside until after 8:30. Finally get inside, all seats were taken. I was standing in a corner near the entrance and reception desk. Lady came from the back and barked at me to take a seat or wait outside. Sat on an end table. No heat on in the office. Waited until 9:00 to finally be called to reception desk. Finally had my blood drawn. Women went about her business until I ask if I could leave. These ladies are grossly under staffed. However, politeness and kindness would going a long way to help people not be so frustrated by this process. read more

Is always a challenge to get blood drawn at this place! The orders are never received by the practitioners. They blame it on each other oh, that's the way it goes. And try to just walk in, try to register before your appointment it's another thing, you don't have an able person to help you and the money they make it's unbelievable!! read more

July 2020 was a nightmare. I had to have a routine blood test. I was unable to make an appointment online, so I dropped by. Previously I've had my tests at a LabCorp in another town, but that location was temporarily closed. At the time of this writing, Arizona cases of COVID-19 are skyrocketing with thousands of new cases every day. Cottonwood has wisely made it mandatory that people who are unable to social distance or go into shops, etc., must wear masks. Certainly this would be doubly important where people with the disease might be showing up to get tested, not knowing they need to go to other facilities! Despite all of that, I was told to wait either outdoors, where all there was was a small bench where two unmasked people already sat (and only a few steps from the entrance, definitely not six feet away!), or in the small windowless waiting room with recycled air, a room smaller than my living room by far, where people sat shoulder to shoulder. At one time there were nine people in that space, including unmasked people checking in at kiosks right next to the chairs. Among the masked patients in the waiting room, one woman had her mask pulled down under her nose, and another in a wheelchair giggled that her mask was on her face upside down. These are all patients who looked quite ill. I myself am at high risk for COVID-19. I had to sit waiting in that petrie dish with, again, no distancing between waiting patients and no mask requirements, for 45 minutes. The staff at no time said even one word to unmasked patients, even though it is local law and they had very susceptible, ill people waiting in that tiny enclosed space! Unbelievable in a medical facility! Hey, even my dentist has people wait in their car and get called when it is their turn. Also, in the waiting room, the plastic-covered chairs and bench were not disinfected. One person would leave, and another would sit down in the same dirty chair. I did not see/smell/notice any indication that the chair in the lab for testing had been wiped down, either. To add to the gripe, I am in the LabCorp system. I get emails from them. The self-check-in kiosk, however, didn't recognize me, so the person at the desk told me somewhat rudely that there was no way I could be in the system. I protested, and she kept insisting that I was NOT in their system. She later discovered, upon searching, that I was, but in the meantime, I was being treated in a highly uncivil way. It is disconcerting not to be believed. (And I was not hostile in any way.) I didn't have my insurance cards with me because I was already in the system (!), and I was soundly scolded for that, even though my information and insurance did finally come up. As a final straw, I was told twice in an accusatory way, as if I were a senile 95-year-old, "You've been here before and you did same thing then; I remember you." (Other than the computer not recognizing me initially, or me not having my cards when it wasn't necessary, I have no idea what I was being accused of having done repeatedly.) When I said that I had never been in the Cottonwood facility in my life and that I'd had to look up directions on MapQuest, she kept repeating that she knew me and that I'd been there before. It was demeaning not to be believed, and not to be treated with dignity. All of that preceded the 45-minute wait in the COVID-19 petrie dish. In the future, I will look for another laboratory in the area, and highly recommend staying far, far away. It was insane. read more
