UPDATE: In July, I came in for bloodwork. Checking in online is wonderful. The receptionist was friendly and highly efficient. Unfortunately, the female phlebotomist never said hello or anything. She appeared to be annoyed the entire time. Already filled out a labcorp survey with details. Next time, I'll try a new labcorp location. read more

Not one of my favorite things to do...get blood work but the staff at Labcorp Clifton are pros at getting you in and out asap. I usually go on Saturday and get there before they open at 7am. I'm out in 10-15 minutes all the time and I'm not even the first in line. And the results are always ready by Monday. read more

ATTENTION: IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED!!!!!! Oh my! Today (Wed. 12/29/2021) is my first (hopefully only) time visiting this location. Whoever is at the front desk right now wearing glasses is awful! She is running wayyyyy behind schedule. She cannot handle this position and she complains every time another patient walks in about how she'll never catch up. She not only ignores you when you are standing in front of her, she's extremely rude, and right now she is belittling, yelling, and screaming in anger at this elderly lady in her face. She's screaming loudly and waving her arms saying "How can I help you.....I CAN'T HELP YOU". Right now she is refusing service to this helpless woman. I have a soft spot for the elderly but I also need my blood drawn or I would've stepped in when she was screaming at the lady demanding her to have a seat then yelling with her accent "omg you are driving me crazy!". I know my blood pressure is high and boiling right now. Right now I'm waiting in a full waiting room while my appointment time has passed (1:30pm). What's even the point of making an appointment? Will definitely update. This woman should not work in this field! Update: Even though this elderly woman arrived before me, she was skipped over, and my name was called to go inside. The tech kept calling her name towards the woman at the front desk but nothing happened. The elderly lady didn't come inside. Then the male tech called my name (He was polite and professional with me). After my blood was drawn, I informed the male technician that the woman he had called before me was either hard of hearing or needed assistance and that she needed help. As I exited the lab area, the elderly lady was still sitting there waiting while people that came in after me were called into the lab area. This nice and soft spoken elderly lady was without a doubt being unfairly mistreated. There was zero professionalism nor compassion shown to this woman. The elderly lady's name is Debra. She deserves to be treated with respect instead of being disrespected and humiliated in a room full of people. This employee needs at the very least some sensitivity training. She was even disrespectful to me when I gave her my prescription. If this is the way she treats people, especially the elderly she should be terminated immediately and not be involved in the healthcare business at all. She is a definite liability and risk. She came off as extremely unhinged. I hope this gets not only the attention it deserves but also the rightful repercussions. I left extremely worried for the elderly patient, Debra's well-being. This was quite unsettling to witness. I would greatly appreciate a follow up and action made to correct and prevent this kind of behavior and mistreatment from happening to other vulnerable patients. Elder mistreatment seems to be a common pattern at this location. Why are your employees getting away with this lack of respect towards a patient? Where's the common decency for another human being? I Tried to give this place another chance but they are so slow. Took my nephew for not even bloodwork but they still call you in after an hour - you wait inside some more. They need a better structure because even the staff were arguing amongst themselves. Some working and others not at all! read more

A little outdated but way better then the hackensack location. The bathroom situation in this place really bothered me tho. So I got there early and my wife was going for a three hour glucose test. At about the 1 hour mark I really had to poop. The bathrooms in the hallway you needed a key. So I went to the desk and asked for the key. They didn't have one but they said I could use their bathroom. Their bathroom was super quiet with no fan and it was super quiet. Like it was SUPER QUIET! Anyway I couldn't blow up the bathroom so I just waited till I got home. But anyway it was a lot cleaner then hackensack location and way more professional. There isn't really a comparison between the two of them to be honest. If they were siblings, the hackensack location would be the older brother who turned meth addict years ago and makes a fool of himself at holiday functions. I will never go back to hackensack labcorp again. The staff was nice. The seating was comfortable and spread out and plenty of it and it did get crowded pretty quickly. Enjoy! read more

I was here for a rigorous three hour glucose test and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I've had bad experiences at a previous labcorp and I'm glad I found this place. The ladies in the back were professional and made me feel really welcomed. They had a cute little lounge area in the back where I waited for my blood work since it was timed. The check in was fast and the head receptionist helped the elderly check in since they don't know and needed help with the kiosk check in system. My doctor's office sent Labcorp my test forms and it was cut off, the labcorp rep said since she knew the test codes she knew which ones I need to take. I had my blood drawn here on Tuesday since my doctor's office is no longer doing it due to Covid-19. My arm was hurting so bad afterwards and had a large lump. Later that night and the next day a huge bruise is now forming all over my arm, not just at the place where the needle was. This type of pain and bruising has never happened and I'm almost 37 years old. I would it recommend getting your blood drawn here bc they obviously don't know what they're doing. read more

When I went recently the front desk attendant didn't even bother to help and instead kept insisting on checking in and waiting. My son was crying and we were not getting any tests done, we could've easily just walked it back as I've done many times in the past. Worst experience in my life just find another site. Woman who was working on me was not compassionate and needs to quit if she don't want to be there. When she violently stuck me the wrong way I felt it immediately and started cursing and then she got combative right back, that's big balls for some one who just blew out my vein on my arm and gave me a hematoma. Not to mention- I went up to her questioning that I've been waiting for a while, had signed in on the 1st sign in sheet and why she was already working on the second sign in sheet without seeing me. Today's experience here has sent me right back to Quest! I take issue with healthcare related offices having no respect for the patient's (customer's) time. I do not think it unreasonable to expect to be seen at that time. This notion that an appointment time is only an estimate and we'll get to you when we get to you is completely disrespectful or the patient. It is not like this is actually a doctor's office where the doc might get caught up with and emergency. If you run a lab collection facility with chronic waits, the issue is not volume but poor staffing. I did check here on yelp before coming there but there were only 2 reviews so not much real help. I should have checked Twitter. Their issues with long wait and less than pleasant staff were painfully obvious there. I chose this particular office because I had a fairly tight schedule today and they had appointments available at the right time to fit that schedule. I arrived at about 11:40 for my 11:45 appt and overheard the gent behind the counter tell the man in front of me that there would be at least a 20 minute wait. I asked about this and was told that applied to those without appointments. I would be seem at 11:48 (at this point, 3 minutes hence). Some 13 minutes later (11:58) I get called up to the window so he can just them start on the paperwork at which point he tells me it will be another 10 minutes or so. Time to leave. While the gent that was at the window was pleasant enough, if seemingly somewhat confused by my position, the young woman who popped in was downright obnoxious. I had to ask for my paperwork back FIVE times because instead of just giving it to me so I could be on my way, she felt the need to argue with me and "explain" that the appointment time is not the time you will be seen. There is no reason to accept this. In fact, the only reason that do it is because we far too often allow them to get away with it. While this may be a medical lab, it is first and foremost, a business. If you have any doubt of this, try not paying the bill! We are the customers! As such, we can and should vote with you wallet and feet. Labcorp lost a customer today. I have not only already rescheduled this appointment with Quest but intend to ask that my Primary Care Physician no longer use LabCorp for my regular labs (their default). UPDATE 7/24/15: Went to Quest to lave these bloods drawn today. Arrived for my 1:00 at 12:57. Was in the chair by 1:04 and walking out the door by 1:11. The whole she-bang in less than 15 minutes. This location is terrible. I came in to get blood work and a wellness exam done for my workplace. 1) the phlebotomist didn't know how to turn on the blood pressure machine, she thought it was broken. 2) when going to draw my blood she had me make a fist, then inserted the needle before explaining to me that she was going to & she also forgot to tell me to release my fist. So, when the needle was inserted she struck my nerve. I had a sharp pain radiate all the way down to my wrist. I said something immediately as I felt the pain and received no apology. Now, 2 days after the blood was drawn I have a constant tingling sensation in my arm and other weird sensations as well depending on which way I move my arm. 3) Now, that the phlebotomist struck the nerve in my arm I have to hope it repairs within a month. 4) learn how to draw blood and prevent injuring your patients 5) I will never recommend LabCorp to anyone read more

So first of all, I have a chronic and potentially fatal condition and need to monitor my blood weekly. Therefore, I have been to quite a few labs in the area, including at all of the hospitals. I have three labcorps within two miles of my house, including at my usual doctor's office. These places always kind of stink because they always take longer than expected, but I prefer this one. Typically, the wait is very reasonable, as long as you go earl in the day and call to avoid the windows of the week when they are doing workplace drug testing. I usually show up before 11 and am done in an hour tops. Unlike some of the other labs, this one has multiple techs working at the same time, so a full waiting room is not necessarily a terrible sign. As far as the actual experience of giving samples, I can honestly say this team is the most skilled of any facility I have visited. Even the very top-of-their-field nurses at my fancy private Manhattan hospital find it hard to draw blood from my tiny veins. The folks at this Labcorp get it right, the first time, every time. My only negative observation is that the men on the team need to take a page from the ladies' book and develop some interpersonal skills. They come across as scary and rude sometimes. read more

Avoid this branch and the company itself... Upon check-in, the sullen desk receptionist informed me I had a previous balance & couldn't get my blood drawn until it was paid. Upon further investigation, these charges were not even mine - due to the fact that the mailing address was ALASKA! (The other desk person asked me if the AK abbreviation was for Arizona...ugh!) The same not-helpful desk person then hands a paper with an 800 number, telling me to call Billing, get the charges off and then come back. I sat down right there and called Billing, where they reiterated that I couldn't get the medical services that I pay through the nose for until this debt was taken care of. I stayed on that phone in that waiting room FOR OVER AN HOUR since the desk personnel couldn't be bothered to call Billing themselves. The person on the phone verified all of my information and after all that, at long last - they asked me to put the desk person on the phone so they could tell them how to clear this hold and enter the tests I needed to get the blood draw. My appointment was for 9:45am; I arrived at 9:30am - I didn't leave until 11:15am because that's how long it took to get past their incompetent front office staff. You''d have thought the Alaska mailing address would tip someone off. NOPE!!! And I had addressed this issue at previous LabCorp locations and resolved it there on sight. This is the first time they ever tried to deny me medical services - I say 'tried' because after I had used sick time from work to have my testing done, I WAS NOT LEAVING WITHOUT GETTING WHAT I CAME FOR. read more

I came in to get some blood work done (obviously) as requested by my allergist. I got there super early and was out in a after of minutes. They had to take out six vials for all the test but it was so quick amd painless. The young lady at the front desk was very nice and polite too. They also had great music playing in the background too. read more

We recently took our four day old baby here to get blood drawn for the third time in three days. Every other time this had been done at other places, it was horrible. Very traumatic for the baby and her mom. This place was great. They took their time and there was this wonderful guy who was really good and the baby barely woke up while squeezing the blood out of her heel. He knew what he was doing with newborns. I wish I got his name so I could commend him more properly. A++++ I think it helps that their lab is a floor above a couple of pediatric practices. They seemed to have lots of kids in the waiting room. We went to another branch of labcorp two days earlier (and another time with a toddler) and the lady there, while well meaning, was not very good with taking kids blood. read more

My 94 year old mom had to get blood tests 2 weeks apart. During the first visit we had to wait along with 4 other people who had appointments until someone complained and they assigned a second technician. This technician was very gentle. During the next visit, service was also slow. When my mom went in the technician jabbed my mom so hard she winced and it hurt even when the needle was being removed!! It was painful. The technician could have used a butterfly needle which typically does not hurt but requires more finesse. This female technician didn't even care my mom was in pain the entire time. I had an appointment today with my 15 months son at 10:30 Am. The waiting time was not too long can't complain. However, the lady who tried to withdraw my son's blood was very rude, had unsupportable altitude, and was not professional at all. She was latterly yelling at both of us just because my son was active and full of energy. She holded his little hand with the blue bandana and waited for almost 10 minutes to figure out that she needs help from one of the stuff to help her hold my son's hand. Awful, awful, awful. I was stabbed with a needle from an incredibly rude technician and as I was yelling and crying from pain, she aggressively changed the tubes that were collecting the blood.
